Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!
Chapter 356 Paradise of the Dead
The first-ring wizard did not head towards the area of the pillar of light, but instead led Lynn in the opposite direction.
After walking for about fifteen minutes, he stopped in an open space, took out a black token from his pocket, and held it above his head.
The token emitted a black light, standing out against the dark red sky.
The light shot into the void ahead, like a knife cutting through cloth, tearing a rift in the air.
The crack grew larger and wider, eventually becoming a giant black hole.
The edge of the black hole was churning, as if something was wriggling inside.
Lynn curiously examined the black hole, a guess forming in his mind.
"This is Lord Marcus's Stigmata Domain." The first-ring wizard put away the token, turned to look at Lynn, and spoke with a hint of awe.
"Please come in."
It really is the domain of the Holy Mark!
Lynn stared at the black hole and instinctively activated his analysis.
[Target: Entrance to the Stigmata Realm (Dominated by the Rules of Death)]
[Composition: The core framework is based on the rules of death, the flesh and blood of the undead, and the soul imprint of a Saintly Wizard serves as its central hub. The rules within this domain are extremely complete, and its energy cycle is self-sufficient, requiring no external replenishment.]
[Domain Characteristics: Death power increased by 500%, undead unit combat power increased by 300%, enemy living units continuously suffer the 'Death and Decay' effect.]
[Spatial stability: Extremely high, solidified, capable of existing independently of the main world.]
[Note: This domain has existed for at least several hundred years and has undergone countless reinforcements and optimizations; it is unbreakable except by those of the Saintly Mark level.]
...
The Realm of the Holy Marks, a demiplane unique to Holy Marks Wizards!
Lynn had only heard about it before; this was the first time he had ever seen a real Stigmata Domain.
There is no light in a black hole, nothing at all, only endless darkness.
He took a deep breath and followed the first-ring wizard inside.
The instant he passed through the black hole, Lynn felt as if his body was being squeezed by something, and then he saw another world.
The sky was grayish-white, with no sun, no stars, only a thick layer of clouds.
The earth was black, like scorched earth burned by fire.
There are mountains in the distance, and they are black and bare, without a single tree.
The air was thick with death energy, even thicker than in the Eternal Night Graveyard, so thick that it was almost dripping with water.
Lynn's spiritual power reached out and captured countless signs of life.
No, not life, but the dead, the dead are everywhere!
Some crawl on the ground, some fly in the sky, and some sleep soundly in caves.
They were huddled together, densely packed, like a pot of boiling porridge.
Low-level, high-level, catastrophe-level, nightmare-level, and even levels he couldn't perceive.
This place... is a paradise for the dead!
Lynn's gaze fell on a black mountain peak in the distance.
A gigantic figure stood atop the mountain, at least thirty meters tall, humanoid in shape, and covered in jet-black armor.
The armor was covered in countless tiny cracks, from which a dark red light shone. The figure remained motionless, standing there like a statue.
But Lynn could sense that its aura was more than ten times stronger than that of the Demon Eye!
It's definitely a Saint-level undead!
Lynn's eyelids twitched, but he suppressed his curiosity and did not activate the analysis.
The ring wizard noticed his gaze and took the initiative to introduce himself:
"That's the 'Black King,' the Lord's first Saint Mark-level undead. It's said that he was a ruler of a plane in life, but was turned into an undead after being personally killed by the Lord."
Lynn nodded without saying anything.
To become the trump card of a Saint-level master, this Black King must have been extremely powerful in his lifetime.
He continued walking forward, his gaze sweeping over the surrounding spirits.
Then I saw a huge bone bird flying in the air, with a wingspan of over 100 meters, and its entire body was pitch black.
What's most peculiar is its feathers, which are not bone, but some kind of metal that gleams with a cold light.
Its eyes were two red gems, burning with flames.
It flew overhead, and the wind it created made Lynn's robes flutter.
Stigmata level!
Another Stigmata-level weapon!
As he walked further, he saw a giant beast lying on the ground.
The giant beast was the size of a small mountain, with thick limbs, a long tail, and three horns on its head.
Its skin is grayish-white, like stone, with countless fine lines on its surface.
It was sleeping, breathing slowly, each breath causing the ground to tremble slightly.
Stigmata level! The third one!
Lynn turned his gaze away from the dead.
He lowered his head and followed the first-ring wizard, but his heart was not at peace.
As expected of a Saint-level wizard.
There were three Saint-level undead wandering in this "domain" alone. These were just the few he had seen. How many more were there that he hadn't seen?
He didn't know, but he did know that this Marcus was much more powerful than he had imagined.
The Holy Mark Wizard is incredibly powerful.
How magnificent must a True Spirit-level being be?
They arrived at a black palace.
The palace floated in mid-air, without a foundation or pillars, just drifting there.
The walls were black with flowing dark red patterns on the surface. The door was wide open, and it was dark inside, with no end in sight.
The first-ring wizard stopped at the door, turned around and bowed to Lynn.
"Lord Lynn, this is all I can take you. There will be spirits inside to guide you to Lord Marcus."
After he finished speaking, he turned and left.
Lynn stood at the doorway, looking into the darkness inside.
A few breaths later, a ghost floated out of the darkness. It was translucent, its face was indistinct, and only a vague humanoid outline could be seen.
It waved to Lynn, turned and floated back, and Lynn followed.
This must be Marcus's ghost servant.
The ghost led him through a long corridor.
The walls on both sides of the corridor are covered with glowing crystals, but the light is dim and can only illuminate the path underfoot.
At the end of the corridor was a door, slightly ajar. The ghost pushed the door open, floated aside, and made way for Lynn to enter.
The room was small, with only a table and a chair, and a person sitting behind the table.
The man looked to be in his forties, of medium build, wearing a black robe, and with little expression on his face.
His eyes were grayish-white, without pupils, like two stones.
Lynn was able to sense the difference and knew that this was not the real body, but only an avatar.
The true form of a Stigmata Wizard does not easily leave their domain; this avatar is used to handle daily affairs.
Lynn walked to the table and bowed respectfully. "Lynn greets Lord Marcus."
Marcus's avatar raised his eyelids and glanced at him.
"The Third Ring Road." His voice was flat, as if stating a fact. "That's right. Sit down."
Lynn sat down in the chair, back straight, hands on her knees. Marcus picked up a document from the table, unfolded it, and glanced at it.
"Your task is simple," he said.
"Eastern Front, Third Defense Zone, responsible for clearing out the low-level Holy Light creatures that have infiltrated. Those things are numerous, not strong individually, but very annoying. Your undead legion is just right."
Lynn nodded. "How long do you need me to stay here?"
"Let's see how efficient you are." Marcus placed the documents on the table and pushed them in front of Lynn.
"The defense zone isn't large, only about 300 miles in circumference. You can clear out as many Holy Light creatures as you want. After you're done, someone will build a defensive line."
"You can come back once the initial defenses are in place."
Lynn picked up the document and glanced at it.
It lists the location and extent of the defense zone, as well as the known types and numbers of Holy Light creatures.
"Is there a problem?" Marcus asked.
"No." Lynn stood up and bowed again.
"Your subordinate takes his leave."
Marcus waved his hand and said nothing more.
Lynn turned and walked out of the room, the ghost still waiting at the door, leading him back the way he came.
Walk through the corridor, out of the palace, through the black hole, and back to that gray-black wasteland.
The black hole closed in behind us, as if it had never existed.
Lynn stood on the wasteland, looking at the golden pillar of light in the distance, then at the documents in his hand.
On the eastern front, in the third defense zone, covering an area of three hundred miles, the task is to clear out the low-level Holy Light creatures that have infiltrated.
He took a deep breath and walked in that direction.
