Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 357 Eradicating Holy Light Creatures

Eastern Front, Third Defense Zone.

The wasteland, spanning three hundred miles, was covered with gray-black gravel and sand, with a few protruding black rocks sticking out of the ground like tombstones.

The sky in the distance was still dark red, and the golden pillar of light still stood in the distance.

Lynn stood on the edge of the defense zone as the undead space rapidly opened, releasing a massive influx of undead.

Megatron was the first to land. His dark gold skeleton gleamed coldly against the dark red sky. He raised his head, glanced into the distance, and let out a low roar.

The Decepticon emerged from the light, transforming into a gigantic shadow that hovered in mid-air, its body covered in shimmering crystal fragments of light.

The tree took root in the wasteland, its roots piercing deep into the gravel, and the withered branches on its crown swayed gently in the still air.

Wanxiang emerged from the light, expressionless, with dark purple mist swirling around it.

Shenni followed behind Wanxiang, holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, his grayish-white skin glowing with golden patterns.

Stone Golem, Demon Eye, Bone Dragon, Flame Demon...

Dozens of Cataclysmic-level undead, hundreds of Calamity-level undead, and millions of low-level undead surged in from the edge of the defense zone like a black tide.

Lynn stood on a black rock at the edge of the defense zone, closed his eyes, and connected his mental energy to the Shadowfly network.

The swarm had already flown into the defense zone and relayed the situation inside.

There are no Holy Light Angels in the defense zone. Those overlord-level creatures usually appear in organized units and wouldn't be found in such peripheral areas.

The holy light creatures here are all low-level.

Scarabs are about the same size as ordinary beetles, but their shells are golden, making them stand out against the dark red wasteland.

(The scarab beetle is a beetle that pushes a round ball, and in people's eyes it is a symbol of pushing the sun to rise in the east and set in the west. In reality, it is a dung beetle.)

They crawl in groups among the rubble, nibbling on anything that contains energy.

They eat magic stones, corpses, and even the death aura left behind by the undead.

They are numerous and reproduce quickly, making them impossible to kill completely.

One scarab beetle is nothing, but ten thousand, a hundred thousand, or a million gathered together is a disaster.

Besides the scarab beetle, there is another small, light-emitting flying insect called the light fly.

They are slightly larger than scarabs, about the size of a fist, and fly very fast.

Instead of attacking directly, they hover around their target, emitting a piercing buzzing sound.

That sound can interfere with the concentration of mental energy, making the caster dizzy and unable to focus.

A few Holy Light Flies have little effect, but tens of millions buzzing at the same time would give even a third-ring wizard a headache.

Further south lies a rocky hilly area, where the insect swarm discovered the Holy Light Lion.

Their bodies are covered in short, golden fur, and their manes are white, fluttering in the wind like flames.

Their eyes are golden with vertical pupils. Like ordinary lions, they do not live in groups; a male lion leads several female lions to occupy a territory.

The swarm of insects discovered a male lion, who was lying on a black rock, sunbathing, its paws resting on the edge of the rock, its tail swaying gently.

It sensed the swarm, opened its eyes, looked in the direction of the swarm, opened its mouth, revealing a row of golden teeth and the holy light energy gathered within them.

The swarm of insects quickly dispersed, not daring to approach.

These ghostly insects are easily injured or killed by holy light spells, even a slight graze.

Deep within the rocky hills, the swarm discovered an even larger creature of the Holy Light—the Holy Light Colossus.

They resemble giants carved from stone, standing about fifteen meters tall, their bodies composed entirely of golden rock with fine veins on the surface.

They have no eyes, no mouths, no ears, only a vague head outline.

They remained motionless, standing still like sculptures.

But the swarm could sense that the holy light energy within them was flowing slowly, like blood flowing in blood vessels.

Lynn counted at least twenty Holy Light Colossi in this rocky hill, and their strength was between the first and second rings.

These creatures do bear some resemblance to the dark creatures known as gargoyles.

The swarm continued flying south and discovered the Holy Light Mammoth in a vast wasteland.

They are ten meters tall at the shoulder and sixteen meters long, covered with long, golden fur that trails on the ground like a cloak.

Their tusks are golden, and their eyes are small, hidden by long golden hair.

They do not live in groups, but move alone, walking slowly across the wasteland, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

The swarm has spotted a Holy Light Mammoth heading north, directly into Lynn's defense zone.

In addition, there are some Holy Light Bulls, Holy Light Serpents, Holy Light Wolves, and so on.

The entire area is like a large ecosystem, and can be considered a "forbidden zone" for the undead and dark creatures.

Lynn opened his eyes and jumped off the black rock.

These creatures of holy light were more numerous and stronger than expected, and each one was difficult to deal with.

Especially the Holy Light Colossus and the Holy Light Mammoth, their size is too large and they contain too much Holy Light energy, which ordinary undead simply cannot withstand.

Lynn began assigning tasks.

Megatron led the Skeleton Earth Dragon Clan to deal with the Holy Light Bull. Those guys didn't attack first, but they couldn't be left unattended either.

The Balrog led his demons and the Frost Whale to fight the Holy Light Scorpion.

The Stone Man and the Great Tree, two nightmare-level undead, went to deal with the Holy Lion.

Those lions were clever; they sensed the strength of the stone men and the trees but didn't fight them head-on. Instead, they used the terrain and their speed to evade them.

The male lion led the female lion as they leaped among the rocks, jumping from one rock to another at great speed.

Unfortunately, the tree was an excellent crowd control undead. Its roots, which sprouted from the ground, quickly sealed off the entire area, and in the end, the lions were all beaten to death by the stone golem.

The Demon Eye and the Bone Dragon went to deal with the more than twenty Holy Light Colossi. The Colossi did not move and stood still, like statues.

The Demon Eye attacked them with a mental ray. The ray struck the colossus's head, and the colossus's body swayed, but it did not fall.

Spiritual rays are ineffective against them because they have no soul; they are driven only by holy light energy.

The bone dragon swooped down and grabbed the shoulder of the largest colossus with its claws, trying to lift it up.

The colossus was too heavy for the bone dragon to lift.

The colossus raised its arm and punched the bone dragon in the chest, breaking two of its ribs and sending it staggering back a few steps.

It opened its mouth and spewed a mouthful of annihilating bone fire fiercely onto the giant statue.

The bone fire burned on the surface of the colossus, but the colossus's body was made of light-elemental rock and could not be burned at all. Holy light energy surged from the colossus's body and extinguished the bone fire.
