Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 355 Holy Light Plane

Stepping out of the War Affairs Department and standing in the corridor, Lynn looked down at the soul crystal nameplate at his waist.

The light had gone out, but the message remained in his mind, like a thorn, making him very uncomfortable.

Holy Light Dimension!

He originally planned to invade a few more small worlds to accumulate rules, and at least wait until he advanced to the Saint Mark before taking on such a high-difficulty mission.

I didn't expect the college to assign him the task so quickly.

Fortunately, I am not a major force in conquering the Holy Light Plane, so there is no time limit for my stay.

Generally, the minimum term for such high-risk missions is two years, after which one can find an excuse to return and renew their duty.

It's not like he's being sent to fight the Archangel. Even a True Spirit Wizard might not be able to defeat someone of that level. If he, a mere third-ring cultivator, went there, he'd just be feeding the enemy.

His task should simply be to eliminate low-level Holy Light creatures and coordinate with the main force's advance.

He could coast for two years, then apply to return to the academy for a Saint Mark promotion, and no one would have anything to say about it.

By then, with the emperor far away, how could the academy possibly pull him out of seclusion?

Lynn carefully put away the nameplate and walked towards the laboratory.

A month is neither a long nor a short time.

That should be enough for him to make some preparations.

For the next month, Lynn hardly left Ghost Market.

Harold's shop became his second laboratory.

Every day, different wizards come to him for answers: constructers, enchanters, alchemists, and rune masters.

Lynn accepted all comers and dealt with them one by one.

Regarding the energy loop issue, he could point out three nodes at a glance at the blueprints.

Regarding the issue of rune conflicts, he could simply pick up the equipment, tap it, and tell you the location of all four runes.

He can rewrite a prescription just by smelling the medicine.

Each question costs anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand magic stones.

After a month, Lynn had nearly 180,000 more magic stones.

But the money is spent even faster.

The materials he needed were not cheap.

The Holy Light has a natural advantage against the undead; his undead army will be less effective there.

Especially those pure undead units, such as Bone Dragon, Megatron, Tyrant, Balrog, and Frostwhale, are like fish in boiling water when they go to the Holy Light Plane; they're half-dead before the fight even begins.

But there are also those who are not so restrained.

Stone Golems, lava skeleton colossi, are a combination of Titan skeletons and elemental creatures, making them far more resistant to Holy Light than pure undead.

The Great Tree, the Corrupted Ancient Tree Guardian, exists in a form where life and death coexist in a twisted way, and the Holy Light doesn't have a particularly severe effect on it.

Lynn decided to upgrade these two to Nightmare level first.

He contacted Harold and asked him to help find materials.

The stone golem doesn't need many things, but everything it needs is very expensive.

The Earth's core, level 6, is collected from the depths of an active volcano and requires at least 50,000 magic stones.

Three Titan Alloy Refined Blocks are needed, each costing 20,000.

High-temperature soul core, level 6, extracted from a high-level fire-type magical beast, 40,000.

There are also various auxiliary materials, which add up to another twenty or thirty thousand.

The materials for large trees are more troublesome.

The fragments of the Tree of Life's heart need to be obtained from the Watchers of Life Woodland, which has a delicate relationship with the Bone Spire and is not easy to acquire.

Lynn asked several people for help and finally exchanged one piece with contribution points at the academy's exchange point, spending 300,000 contribution points.

The essence of death is simple; he can refine it himself.

I still have some of the essence of the earth's veins crystallized.

The day the materials were all gathered, Lynn locked herself in the lab and didn't come out for five whole days.

The Stone Man's promotion went more smoothly than expected.

The molten core replaced the original energy core, the refined Titan alloy block was fused into the skeleton, and the high-temperature soul core was integrated into the soul fire.

The stone golem's size increased again, and the magma patterns on its surface became denser and brighter, like a burning net.

Its fist slammed into the ground, shaking the entire experimental area. Lynn was so frightened that he quickly put it into the undead space, fearing that it would attract a large number of enraged wizards.

Fortunately, each laboratory has a number of magic arrays, so this simple vibration won't have much of an impact.

Promotion for senior members is more complicated.

The fragments of the Tree of Life and the essence of death must be integrated simultaneously; the two energies of life and death must be kept in balance, otherwise the system will collapse.

Lynn used his mental power to control the ratio of the two energies, gradually injecting them into the tree's body.

The tree was trembling, its branches were twitching, and its roots were crawling wildly on the ground.

Its bark displays two colors of patterns, emerald green and grayish-black, intertwined like two snakes coiling together.

Two hours later, the pattern stabilized.

The tree's aura leaped from the peak of level 5 to the initial stage of level 6; its roots became deeper, its branches denser, and its canopy larger.

The range of the putrefactive spore cloud expanded from a city to the entire battlefield, and the number of roots from which life drew upon increased from fifty to hundreds.

Most importantly, it gained a new ability—the ability to switch between life and death.

The switching speed between the live mode and the dead mode is much faster, requiring almost no time.

This makes it even smoother when fighting against Light creatures.

Lynn stored the tree in the undead space and let out a long breath.

With the newly promoted Stone Man and Tree, plus the Bone Dragon, Demon Eye, Myriad Manifestations, Dragon Soul Main Soul and Second Main Soul, he already has quite a few Nightmare-level combatants at his disposal.

But going to the Holy Light plane is still not enough.

Those creatures of the Holy Light have a natural advantage against the undead, and his undead army's fighting strength is reduced by at least 30% there.

Lynn thought for a moment, then went to the Ghost Market again and bought a bunch of materials that increased Holy Light resistance.

They added a protective coating to each of the main undead, including Megatron, Decepticons, and Balrog.

While it cannot completely negate the restraint, it can at least prolong the time.

A month passed quickly.

On the day of departure, Lynn did not say goodbye to anyone.

He walked alone to the teleportation area and headed straight for the single-person teleportation array indicated by the nameplate.

The apprentices on duty had already received the notification and had the teleportation array ready.

"Sir, the destination is the seventh transit station, and the coordinates have been locked," the apprentice said.

Lynn nodded and stepped onto the teleportation array.

A flash of white light, and his figure disappeared into the teleportation hall.

...

The seventh transit station was built on a conquered asteroid.

The teleportation array landed at a semi-circular stone palace, with walls made of solid obsidian and covered with defensive runes.

Three rune cannons were mounted on the roof of the hall, their muzzles pointing in three directions and slowly rotating.

Two armored guards stood at the entrance of the temple, holding standard-issue spears with silver-white coatings on the tips—specifically designed to deal with creatures of holy light.

Lynn stepped out of the teleportation array and glanced around.

The stone hall is not large, but it is very sturdy.

Several boxes of magic stones were piled up in the corner, several shields hung on the wall, and a complex teleportation array was drawn on the ground.

There was a table against the wall, and four wizards were sitting behind the table.

The leader was a second-circle wizard, wearing a gray robe with a skeleton spire, and his face was expressionless.

Three first-ring wizards stood behind him, heads bowed in meditation.

The second-ring wizard looked up, saw Lynn, and stood up. "Identity."

Lynn took the nameplate from his waist and handed it over.

The second-circle wizard took the nameplate, probed it with his mental power, and after confirming that it was correct, picked up a communication device from the table and spoke a few words into it.

A moment later, the second-circle wizard put down the communicator, returned the nameplate to Lynn, and waved behind him.

A young first-ring wizard emerged from behind the table and bowed to Lynn.

"Sir, please follow me," he said.

Lynn nodded and followed him out of the stone hall.

Outside was a gray-black wasteland, devoid of grass, trees, and water, only covered with gravel and sand.

The sky in the distance was dark red, as if it had been burned.

Further away, a golden pillar of light rose from the ground and pierced the sky.

That should be the direction of the Holy Light Plane, and that pillar of light should be the passage connecting the Holy Light Plane and the so-called "Heavenly Mountain".

That's truly spectacular!
