Chapter 373 Whereabouts

The open space outside the auditorium.

Morris and Draco began to confront each other.

“I know what you’ve done, Malfoy,” Maurice began. “Perhaps you’ve already noticed, I’ve examined your memories.”

He spoke these words in a very calm tone, as if he had only done something insignificant.

It is important to know that forcibly reading someone else's mind without permission is a very serious illegal act in the magical world.

Draco's reaction was predictable.

"You..." Draco's voice was hoarse, as if he were being choked, "You can't... You'll be expelled!"

"Oh, I don't care," Morris shrugged. "And to be honest, what you did was far more serious than what I did."

Upon hearing this, Draco instinctively took a step back and bumped into a stone pillar in the corridor.

The cool touch brought him back to his senses a little.

"Tell me, where is the crown Voldemort made you find?" Maurice stepped forward, staring intently into Draco's eyes, and continued, "You still have a chance to turn back."

To be honest, the information obtained through Legilimency is not entirely reliable, as it is easily influenced by the caster's subjective speculation.

If he could, he would prefer to find out the whereabouts of the Ravenclaw tiara himself.

Draco did not answer, but his body was visibly trembling.

Seeing this, Morris sighed. Sure enough, some forceful measures were still needed.

Since we've already been so honest with each other, there's no need to be polite.

He raised his wand, aimed it at Draco, and said calmly, "You have one last chance. Give me the crown."

In this situation, he wouldn't mind using a Soul Reaper's Curse.

Although he hadn't studied the Imperius Curse in depth, it should be enough to deal with Draco.

Draco clearly knew he was no match for Morris, and he frantically looked around, trying to find an escape route.

However, at that moment, Maurice's wand was already pointed at him.

He had nowhere to escape.

"I've already handed over the crown," Draco said, trembling. "No... it's not in my hands."

His voice carried a sense of resignation, as if he had given up entirely.

Since the outcome is the same anyway, it's better to just admit it and at least suffer less.

Morris frowned and pressed, "When? And to whom was it given?"

This answer was undoubtedly the worst possible outcome for him.

"I don't know," Draco shook his head nervously. "It was last week, on Hogsmeade's visiting day. I gave it to him in the alley behind the three brooms. The man was wearing a hood, so I couldn't see his face. He didn't say anything, just took the crown and left."

Morris frowned even more deeply.

Last week... which means the tiara is no longer at Hogwarts and is almost certainly in Voldemort's hands.

That said, if Ravenclaw's tiara is truly a Horcrux, why did Voldemort hide it in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts for so many years, only to suddenly want to take it back now?

Has Voldemort finally realized how foolish his act of splitting his soul was?

Or perhaps Voldemort has already realized that he has marked two souls with the mark of enslavement, so he wants to gather all the scattered Horcruxes together for centralized protection.

Morris quickly considered the various possibilities in his mind.

"Can...can I go now?" Draco asked tentatively, sounding very cautious.

Morris stared at him for a few seconds, put away his wand, and asked again, "Did Voldemort use your house as his headquarters?"

Draco answered almost without hesitation, "Voldemort only came once, and that was when he gave me the order to steal the diadem. I don't know where he's hiding, and nobody knows."

He was clearly trying his best to distance himself from any connection between his family and Voldemort.

Morris nodded. "Okay."

Let Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix investigate this matter.

Ugh.

The Ravenclaw tiara that was almost within his grasp was gone just like that.

He sighed inwardly, but his face remained calm.

"Wait!" Draco suddenly spoke up. "Don't tell anyone about this, Black. Please, I mean, you know what I mean. Telling others won't do you any good."

Morris smiled slightly at him, a smile devoid of any warmth. "Do you think that's possible?"

'

He has no obligation to keep secrets.

Draco's face turned ashen, then he gritted his teeth and said, "I'm going to tell my dad, Maurice, see you in court. What you've done today is enough to get you fired, or even sent to Azkaban."

Morris looked at Draco, the smile on his lips unchanged, but a hint of mockery appeared in his eyes.

"Oh, really?"

The tip of his wand glowed.

After using the Void on Draco, Maurice left the scene, intending to have a talk with Dumbledore.

Perhaps Dumbledore has a way to find the Horcruxes.

He walked slowly, and as he passed a spiral staircase, he ran into Professor Trelawney.

To be honest, Maurice hadn't seen Trelawney in a long time.

He remembered that Dumbledore had mentioned that Professor Trelawney had been making prophecies much more frequently lately—of course, referring to real prophecies, not the charades she spouted during class.

At this moment, Trelawney looked exhausted, as if she had drunk too much sherry the night before and was still recovering from a hangover. She was swaying and holding a crystal ball in her hands.

"Professor Trelawney," Morris greeted politely, preparing to walk past her and continue on his way.

However, Trelawney seemed not to hear her. She swayed, took two unsteady steps to the side, and bumped straight into Maurice.

The crystal ball slipped from her fingers and smashed on the ground.

A crisp cracking sound rang out, and the crystal ball shattered into countless tiny fragments, scattering all over the ground.

Trelawney stared blankly at the scene.

"Are you alright, Professor?" Morris asked.

"My crystal ball!" Trelawney snapped out of her daze, crouched down, and shouted, seemingly heartbroken.

But the next second, as if she remembered something, she straightened up, patted her chest, and let out a long breath.

"Luckily, it was a cheap one."

Morris's lips twitched slightly.

So, is it heartache or not?

It was only then that Trelawney noticed Maurice standing to the side.

She frowned, her expression displeased: "Be careful, Mr. Black. That crystal ball may be cheap, but it's been with me for years and has absorbed my spiritual energy."

"7

Morris shrugged helplessly.

He waved his wand at the shards on the steps. "Restore to its original state!"

The fragments on the ground floated up and gathered together.
