Chapter 374 Speculation

Morris thought the crystal ball would soon be restored to its original state, but the fragments did not come together to form a sphere.

They arranged and combined to form another new shape: a circle, a triangle, and a vertical line.

The symbol of the Deathly Hallows.

Upon seeing this, Morris stroked his chin.

"Ah!" Trelawney gasped, her eyes widening, and cried out, "This is fate's way of instructing you!"

"Oh, I know." Morris nodded.

He had seen the mark of the Deathly Hallows many times before.

So... what does this mean?

Although he was puzzled, Maurice's expression did not change much.

After all, he had seen this mark in Grindelwald's prophecy before, so it was quite normal for it to appear again.

"Do you know what to do, Mr. Black?" Trelawney suddenly leaned closer to Morris and asked nervously.

"What should we do?" Morris raised an eyebrow curiously.

He was curious to hear what Trelawney had to say.

Although this divination professor often acts mysteriously, he does possess some genuine skills.

Trelawney was about to speak when she suddenly rolled her eyes, lost her balance, and stumbled, stepping on the Deathly Hallows symbol made of fragments.

A cracking sound rang out, and the markers were trampled into pieces.

"Ah—" Trelawney looked down at the mess at her feet, panicked at first, but quickly calmed down and pretended to be profound: "Mr. Black, it seems that a mysterious force is preventing you from peeking into destiny."

Morris didn't know what to say.

He just watched quietly as Trelawney tried to justify herself.

Just then, something unexpected happened.

The shattered crystal ball fragments on the ground suddenly began to move on their own—this time, Morris didn't use any magic.

They began to recombine, and eventually changed their appearance again.

That was a crown.

Morris felt that this was somewhat similar to the Ravenclaw crown he had seen in Draco's memories.

However, unlike the Ravenclaw tiara, which is made up of fragments of a crystal ball, the place where sapphires should have been set is empty.

The groove, like an empty eye, stared straight at Maurice, creating an inexplicable sense of unease.

Morris looked around, trying to find the person who had cast the spell on the crystal ball shards, but there was no one there.

"Did you do this, Professor Trelawney?" Morris turned to look at the divination professor in front of him.

Trelawney paused for a few seconds, her expression shifting from blank to thoughtful.

"Cough cough."

She cleared her throat, coughed a few times, straightened her back, and tried to appear more authoritative. "Yes, it was me. It's the power of prophecy, Mr. Black. I hope it helps you."

His tone was somewhat unnatural. Morris thought.

Clearly, this wasn't Trelawney's doing either.

At least it wasn't done intentionally.

But it doesn't matter anymore.

"I see." Morris didn't expose him. "Thank you, Professor."

"You're welcome." Trelawney smiled. "I should go now."

After saying that, she left in a hurry, not even bothering with the shards of the crystal ball on the ground.

After saying goodbye to Professor Trelawney and cleaning up the mess, Morris continued toward the principal's office, pondering what had just happened.

The Ravenclaw crown that the crystal ball shard transformed into was definitely conveying some message to him.

What is it?

"Ah, Maurice, hello. You're here to see me?"

As he approached the entrance to the principal's office, lost in thought, a familiar voice came from ahead.

Maurice looked up and saw Dumbledore standing in front of him.

Today, Dumbledore was wearing a dark blue robe, a rare color that made his silver-white beard stand out even more.

"Professor," Maurice stopped, "I was just about to look for you."

Dumbledore gave him a gentle smile. "Go to my office. But you'll have to wait a few minutes."

"What happened?" Morris asked.

"No, it's nothing," Dumbledore replied cheerfully. "I wish I could have a lavatory built in my office."

Morris:

'

""

It seems that even the most powerful wizards need to use the toilet.

"Lemon Snowball".

As soon as Morris finished speaking, the stone statue at the entrance to the principal's office quickly moved aside, revealing the spiral staircase behind it.

"Oh, you guessed right the first time." Dumbledore smiled and turned to walk slowly down the corridor.

Morris thought Dumbledore should change the password to the headmaster's office.

It's just the same few dessert and candy names over and over again, very easy to guess.

But upon closer reflection, it didn't seem necessary. After all, most people wouldn't break into the principal's office. And even if they did, Fox was always there to guard the place, so there was no need to worry about security.

Morris walked up the spiral staircase and entered the principal's office.

On the golden perch by the wall, Fox raised its head and let out a clear call after seeing him.

"Hi, Fox. You just came back from the ashes?"

Morris noticed that Fox's hair hadn't fully grown in yet and casually asked a question.

Fox did not answer and silently turned away.

It seems their relationship is still not very good.

Morris shrugged and sat down in the chair opposite Dumbledore's desk.

There was a thick notebook spread out on the table, filled with densely packed, very small characters.

After careful examination, he discovered that the text contained prophecies, seemingly introductions and accounts of famous historical prophets.

Just as Morris was about to take another look, the door was pushed open.

Dumbledore walked in briskly, patted Fawkes on the head, and then sat down opposite Morris.

"I think you must have something very important to tell me," he said.

Morris nodded and told Dumbledore what Draco had done—of course, he omitted the details that might cause him trouble.

"Ravenclaw's tiara..." Dumbledore's expression turned serious after hearing this. "Voldemort could very well have turned it into a Horcrux. He liked to use objects of sentimental value to hold fragments of his soul... Are you sure Malfoy took it from Hogwarts?"

"I can say for sure," Maurice said. "If there are any problems, you can check with Malfoy. I can provide truth serum."

Dumbledore immediately waved his hand, his expression serious. "We cannot use truth serum on students, Maurice."

Morris shrugged.

Does that make mind control legal?

Some things are better left unsaid.

"What's next?" Morris asked.
