Chapter 601 The Villain's Traditional Skill - Internal Strife

Namo finally breathed a sigh of relief; that damned living devil was finally gone.

He wasn't the only one who felt relieved; the tyrant kneeling on the ground, the black swan knocked down by the magical impact, and Maximus, who was suffering from a mental backlash, also gradually recovered.

Even the Creator, who had just been hiding in some unknown corner, came out.

The chaos finally subsided, but only five people remained on the ark. The cabin was deathly silent, with only the crackling of electricity coming from the damaged parts of the ark and the heavy breathing of the survivors.

The good news is that the ship withstood the conflict between Rune and them without being directly destroyed, and the five of them still have a good chance of surviving this multiverse catastrophe.

The bad news is that what survived wasn't anything good.

A vicious tyrant, a mentally twisted Maximus, a two-faced black swan—and even more terrifying, their leader, Thanos, who was powerful enough to suppress anyone and ensure that this temporary organization would not fall apart, is dead.

Naturally, a new storm broke out inside the cabin.

"It's all your fault!" Maximus broke the silence, clutching his head, still dizzy from the mental backlash. "If Namor hadn't stood by and done nothing, if Reed hadn't suddenly run away, Thanos wouldn't be dead! How could we have ended up like this!"

This statement divided everyone present into two factions: Namor and Creator Reed, and Tyrant, Maximus, and the Black Swan.

The former members were themselves superheroes, or even superhero counterparts, and they were not even injured during their battle with Rune.

The latter are genuine villains, and they were even injured in their battle with Rune, which naturally caused the Tyrant and his group to be dissatisfied with Namor and Reid.

But Maximus also had his own selfish motives.

Of the remaining five, only Creator Reed and Maximus have overlapping roles. Both are good at strategizing, but as Mister Fantastic's counterpart, Creator Reed is clearly smarter than Maximus.

So here's the question: In the supervillain camp, what happens to characters with overlapping roles, especially the weaker ones?

The answer is that they will only become pawns of the strong, and their fate will no longer be determined by the pawns themselves.

That's why this guy wanted to get rid of Cranios.

Maximus, as expected of a member of the Inhuman royal family, still managed to accurately identify his enemies and friends despite his mental instability.

Namor's response was incredibly tactless: "Fool, I am the King of Atlantis! How could I possibly sacrifice myself for someone else's ambition? I didn't torture Steve. Thanos's death and your injuries were all because of torturing Captain America—"

The King of the Seven Seas straightened up, slammed his trident into the ground with a loud thud, and said, "This is your own fault, what does it have to do with me?"

Namor's gaze swept over everyone present, then he sneered, "Even Thanos isn't criticizing me anymore, so what right do you have to point fingers at me!?"

This King of the Seven Seas was far less adept at assessing situations than Maximus. As a half-human and half-Atlantean royal, Namor suffered discrimination in his childhood and had to grow up in the slums, which made him extremely withdrawn.

Namor later became the King of Atlantis through a power struggle, but his childhood experiences still left him traumatized. Therefore, Namor is a man of his word, brooking no dissent. Any rebuttal is seen as a provocation.

At this moment, Namor was completely unaware of the seriousness of the problem, nor did he notice the increasingly hostile expressions of the tyrant and the black swan.

“Namor is actually right,” Black Swan said, her face showing displeasure, but her gaze shifting between Maximus and Namor, her tone laced with provocation. “Thanos is dead, the Black Order is defunct, and we do need to form a new organization. Besides—”

Black Swan sneered: "I don't think the new world needs so many survivors, do it? Perhaps we should eliminate one or two. I think Namor would be a good candidate for elimination."

The Creator was perfectly clear-headed; he did not participate in the debate, but instead began using various instruments to examine the damage to the ark.

The battle between Rune and Thanos did have some impact on the Ark; at least some glass has shattered, but it's not a very serious problem.

But Creator Reed did not tell the truth. Instead, he deliberately exaggerated the problem: "The defense system of this doomsday ark is on the verge of collapse, and the functional system is also malfunctioning. If we continue to fight amongst ourselves, we will all die in this cosmic ruin."

Reed hoped these guys would calm down; in terms of pure strength, Reed was actually the weakest of the five.

"Death? Then I'll kill you all before I die!" the tyrant's messenger roared as he stood up.

When facing that terrifying mage, he was the most humiliated of all the villains present. Rune himself barely moved, yet he knelt before him in front of everyone, which filled the tyrant with rage.

Those villains who witnessed him commit such a shameful act were naturally the targets the tyrant wanted to kill, especially Namor, who had a foul mouth.

After roaring, the Tyrant charged at Namor, dragging his Cosmic Axe, and brought it down on his head. Namor was not to be outdone, and the two immediately clashed, the sounds of metal clashing echoing through the air.

Seeing this, the Black Swan curled her lips into a cold smile, quietly circled behind Namor, her eyes flashing with fire, and a beam of energy pierced straight into Namor's back.

However, Namo had already sensed this.

Strictly speaking, this doomsday ark is not his home turf. Namor is the lord of the seven seas, and he can only unleash his full power in the ocean.

But the Lord of the Seven Seas still manipulated the water vapor around him, transforming it into a sturdy water shield. The energy beams pierced the water shield, producing a piercing sound.

"You think you can ambush me?" Namor parried the Tyrant's messenger's cosmic axe and immediately turned to stab at the Black Swan, but the latter easily dodged it.

The black swan sneered, "Look behind you, you fool!"

"Where are you looking?!" The tyrant grinned and pointed his axe at the Lord of the Seven Seas. A huge shockwave shot out from the weapon, easily breaking through the water shield and slamming Namor into the wall behind him.

Maximus also joined the fray, using his telepathic abilities to interfere with Namor's mind, while Creator Reed simply stood by and watched the infighting unfold.

Just as Namor was about to be beaten to death, a small portal appeared.

The tyrant immediately sensed something. He turned around and held his axe in both hands, using the power of the weapon to create a force field shield. However, the crimson light still pierced through his body.

"Oh dear, I almost forgot to kill you all, but it's not too late now, is it?"

Rune's voice came from the portal, and the magical shockwave, like an Omega ray, curved and pierced through everyone except Namor in an instant.

The sole survivor on the entire warship stared wide-eyed, frozen in place, too afraid to move.
