Chapter 600: Let's embark on a grand adventure in another world!

Jaina was confused. She blinked her big eyes and finally managed to stammer, "Are you... reminding me to be careful of the Holy Light?"

Rune looked Jaina up and down before finally saying, "All I can say is that we must be wary of all powers, whether it's the Holy Light or arcane magic. But let's talk about the cooperation between the two universes first."

Jaina had intended to ask why Rune had warned of the dangers of Holy Light and Arcane power, but his last words were simply too captivating for her. If a mage doesn't seek new knowledge but instead focuses solely on the destructive power of magic—

Then he will never become the "magician" people talk about in his lifetime.

"We could perhaps exchange magical knowledge, sign a mutual aid treaty—" Jaina counted on her fingers the possible avenues for cooperation, "and maybe even exchange supplies or something—"

"So, do you want to come with me to another world?" Rune asked, and Jaina immediately nodded excitedly.

"I want to go! I want to go!" Jaina almost jumped up. If Rune could take her to another world, wouldn't she become a pioneer? Maybe she'd even be remembered in a book later!

Her unconventional behavior only made Rune sigh again. Azeroth entrusting the mission of integrating the human empire to Jaina is like handing over the operation rights of Tencent to a college student.

Oh, Jaina seems to be a bit better than a college student, since she's probably a graduate student, and Jaina's mentor, Antonidas, is one of the top figures in the entire Azeroth legal community.

"Don't rush, take a few high-ranking mages who escaped from Dalaran with you," Rune reminded him. "This isn't a real vacation; I'm taking you to negotiate with mages from other universes—"

However, while Jaina nodded outwardly, she was actually filled with excitement inside.

Rune placed Steve in the church to recuperate temporarily, and while Steve recovered, he was also able to learn some techniques for using Holy Light from the bishop and several other priests.

If possible, Rune even wanted Steve to learn how to manipulate the Dark Force, because only by having two opposing forces counterbalance each other could the hero maintain his true self, but the Dark Force rejected Rune.

As for the others, Steve has become the embodiment of the Force in the new world. As the Child of Light, there is no room for any other Force within him.

"You'd better restrain your power and not let Steve get lost in the light—" Rune said softly, standing outside the church. "Otherwise, I wouldn't mind destroying the Holy Light Legion myself. Don't force me to do such a bad thing, okay?"

Rune didn't believe the Force of Light wasn't watching him; after all, he was the key to unlocking a new universe. But after waiting for a long time, Rune still didn't hear a reply from the Force of Light. Instead, Jaina arrived first.

"Hi!" Jaina arrived in front of Rune with a large group of mages. She was wearing makeup and a gorgeous outfit—just like the group of Dalaran mages behind her.

"You can't dress like this—" Rune shook his head, and at the same time he noticed that among these Dalaran mages, besides people—

Besides humans, there are also high elves and dwarves.

This is not hard to understand. Although Dalaran is a human kingdom, it welcomes all mages except necromancers. As a result, there are an absurd number of races here. Not to mention high elves and gnomes, even red dragons and blue dragons can mingle among them.

But this is still too exciting for ordinary people in the DC Universe.

Dwarfs are one thing, but the pointed ears of high elves are too distinctive. Even with anime these days, some people might think it's cosplay, but Rune wasn't willing to gamble on the curiosity of the US government.

So Rune could only snap his fingers, and then the group of mages were surprised to find that their gorgeous robes had turned into casual clothes, namely T-shirts, sweatpants and sneakers.

"These are ordinary clothes in our world. Wearing them out will prevent you from attracting other people's attention," Rune explained simply, and then the group of mages began to examine their clothes.

However, some monks were still marveling at the materials on the clothes, stroking them with great curiosity.

Some monks also find this attire extremely distasteful, viewing it as a bizarre garment that is highly demystified and lacks any profound meaning or practical value.

"Oh my god, this outfit is simply—it lacks beauty and is completely useless. My carefully prepared robe, and the magical artifacts on it—" a high elf cried out in despair.

"Enough. These clothes have only been disguised, just like your ears." Rune snapped his fingers again. "They can all be restored—as long as you do as I say."

This time, the changes were to the ears and eyebrows of these high elves. However, upon learning that this was merely an external change and could be reversed in the future, the mages breathed a sigh of relief.

Only a few dwarf mages sighed; they longed to experience what it was like to be a superior being, but it was clear that dwarves existed as a race in this other world.

Jaina's initial anxiety about losing her precious robes turned into anticipation for the new world. However, if it weren't for her exceptional status among the Dalaran mages, Rune wouldn't have even bothered to bring the girl into his universe.

This mage also carries a heavy responsibility, which she herself is unaware of.

As Rune opened the portal, Jaina leaned close to him, secretly took a small object from her pocket, and whispered, "Do you think—the other mages in your world would like it?"

Rune glanced down and saw the thing in Jaina's hand. It was a pretty necklace, the main body of which was an anchor, engraved with various symbols of marine life. Pale blue magic swirled around a gem in the center of the necklace.

"I don't know, but don't worry, they won't make things difficult for you," Rune said confidently.

Why?

Because they were already terrified of me.

But Rune didn't answer the question. The portal beside him had completely stabilized. "Please come in, our naval princess. Perhaps in the future I'll have to call you king!"

Distracted like this, Jaina's attention was immediately drawn to her adventure in another world.

The other mages were also very enthusiastic. The mages who could accompany Jaina were of much higher status than ordinary mages, but they didn't care at all whether Rune would harm them, and walked into the portal with peace of mind.

This wasn't just out of curiosity about another world; it was more because they felt that if a powerful mage like Rune really wanted to kill them, he wouldn't need to go to such lengths.

After all the mages had entered the portal, Rune still didn't close it, but continued to wait quietly. Jaina, who had been the first to enter, curiously poked her head out and asked in confusion, "Why didn't you come in with us?"

"I'm waiting for someone," Rune said softly, then realized his mistake and corrected himself, "To be precise, I'm waiting for a god of the wilderness."

"Who?"

"The God of Wolves—look, he's here!"

Not far away, a beautiful white wolf arrived at the teleportation portal under the moonlight.
