Almighty Alchemist

Chapter Eight: Locust Town (Part 1)

The time was spent in continuous study and practice, and two weeks slipped by in the blink of an eye without knowing it.

Although Xiu Yi's strength has been improved again, the bandits have also undergone radical changes. Now even the most ferocious bandit has learned a lot about the tedious and complicated etiquette in the life of the upper class.

In the words of the bandits themselves, "If a nobleman pretending to be a poor man walks past my eyes, he will never be able to hide it from my eyes."

Subconsciously, the habit of using what they have learned makes them position everything they have learned on the standard of "more convenient and more valuable targets for robbery in the future". Bandits are still facing all problems with the thinking mode of robbers.

They are still gangsters at heart.

Huey didn't care about this - what he needed was not a real gentleman.

After inspecting the progress of the bandits, he felt it was time for the next step.

"Leiler." Xiu Yi ended her training early today.

"Master, do you have any orders?" The former iron-blooded man, now wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a decent dress, was practicing the walking posture of a nobleman. If it weren't for the Arnold Schwarzenegger-like flesh on his face, I'm afraid it would be difficult for anyone to connect him with the vicious bandit two weeks ago.

"I've noticed that everyone has made great progress recently. At least I can't hear them swearing anymore."

"Yes, we have learned to curse in our hearts." The big man replied angrily.

"This is a good sign...you don't have to tell me the target of the curse." The young man smiled, and a large handful of brilliant gold coins appeared in his hand: "Take the money and share it with everyone. This is their reward for studying hard. Each person gets thirty gold Wittes. Tell them that from today onwards, they don't have to learn etiquette anymore. And they can take the money I gave them to go to a nearby town to have fun."

Lele Yesa couldn't *believe her ears.

"You... are you telling the truth?"

"Are you questioning me?" Xiu Yi asked leisurely. His tone was calm, but with a hint of bitterness.

"Oh, no, master, I mean..." Lele Yesa grinned while holding a handful of money, "You are indeed a very generous master. Brothers will be crazy to hear the news."

"Yes, they will be crazy, because from now on, they can no longer spend money to find girls from the brothel to have fun, they can't go to the brothel to gamble, and they can't drink those low-quality spirits. They have to enjoy life according to the rules I set for them. I mean... enjoy life in the way of nobles."

Lele Yesa's eyes widened: "You mean..."

The young man spread his hands leisurely: "The theory period is over, now is the internship period. Don't forget that you are no longer thugs, scumbags, and villains, but elegant nobles. Isn't learning for the purpose of using it? You must know that nobles will never use such inferior methods as spending money on prostitution."

"I think I see what you mean. You're saying my brothers have to go and coax some bitch into their ass with their sweet words instead of money to do it all."

"That's right."

"A very difficult requirement."

"That's something you have to consider. By the way, remind your brothers, don't think about escaping, let alone betraying. You must know that alchemists have too many methods* to control others, such as certain... poisons that can lurk in other people's bodies for a long time."

Lele Yesa's face twitched a few times.

"Then... I will follow your instructions, my wise and benevolent master. I believe they will be very happy to accept this news." Rele Yesa gritted his teeth and bowed, he made a standard salute.

This damned little devil, a vicious wanted criminal, a perverted boy with no humanity, he is so bad that he has sores on his head and pus on the soles of his feet! He actually poisoned us!

Looking at the back of Lei Lei leaving angrily, Xiu Yi's face was filled with a smug smile: "I'm very bad, right? Xu."

Xu nodded desperately. During this period of time, I was studying magic, but I was exhausted.

As a mountain town, Locust Town has never lacked experience in dealing with robbers.

After the robbers robbed the business traveler, they would come to the small town to sell some valuables, and then use the money they got to enjoy wildly in the small town. They will drink desperately, fight, make trouble, and finally find a girl in the brothel to vent their excess energy, until they are picked out of the bed by their boss and return to their own territory to squat again.

Such is the life of bandits, going round and round until one day they are caught or killed.

Of course, there are occasional exceptions, such as being trained to be a nobleman.

In any case, the town of Locust has never been short of chaos, violence, and places for pleasure of all kinds.

Simply put, this is a paradise for adventurers.

Bandits like Leile are not the only ones in the Villas mountain area. They check and balance each other, and at the same time help each other and communicate with each other. As a common paradise for everyone, every bandit will work hard to maintain the unique chaos and order in Locust Town.

In fact, Locust Town itself does not belong to the list of imperial towns. It is completely organized by local hooligans, bandits, and robbers out of the need to establish a stable back garden, and by adventurous businessmen, local civilians who seek profit and adventure, and some exiled warriors who have nowhere to go. In the process of satisfying the needs of bandits, they gradually grew stronger. Gather sand into a tower, and gradually develop into a small town. Therefore, there are no imperial guards, no mayor, and no walls here, only the strongest power organizations and strands of bandits come here from time to time to sell dirt, get drunk, and find girls.

Therefore, the commercial exhibition here is completely composed of taverns, brothels, brothels, and shops that buy stolen goods, and there are very few other industries.

Old Bill's "Fighter" tavern, located at the entrance of the town, is the largest tavern in the town.

From the name Fighter, it can be seen that the most brilliant show in the tavern here every day is a group of drunken men fighting with each other. They will often smash the tavern into a mess, and then pay out a sum of money to compensate the tavern owner.

Don't worry about the robbers reneging on their bills.

Black Locust Town has its own rules: even the robbers don't want to lose the right to consume and enjoy here from now on.

Of course, there were really impatient bandits, and as a fifth-level warrior, Old Bill didn't mind teaching these bastards himself a lesson.

Today, Old Bill sat at the entrance of the town according to his usual habit, lying leisurely on his recliner and basking in the sun. This recliner was carved by the Duke of Bauhinia in the 16th century when he conquered Detland with the sea perches.

Three years ago a businessman tried to transport the recliner to Warrington for a good price, but it ended up being robbed by bandits here.

Then, it became the old Bill's collection.

He bought it for only ten gold verts, and lay on it every day enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

The biggest advantage of dealing with bandits is that they have no eyesight, except for gold coins, they don't understand the value of artworks at all.

When the figures of Lei Lei and others gradually appeared at the entrance of the town in the distance, Old Bill was lying on his beloved recliner and basking in the sun. When he saw Lei Lei and the others, Old Bill's eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

The most famous Leile wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, a black velvet soft vest paired with a white silk shirt looked noble and elegant, loose black woolen breeches were paired with a pair of polished soft-soled riding boots, and he held a civilized stick in his hand.

Behind him, there were a total of forty-five bandits, almost all of whom were dressed like this.

"Oh my God! Nathan! Come here, you stupid boy!" Bill yelled.

A clerk rushed out of the tavern: "Boss, what's the matter?"

Bill pointed at the entrance of the village: "Look over there, God, forgive my eyes! Is that Rele Yesa?"

The clerk looked out of town along Bill's fingers. "Oh, it's that guy. My God, why are they dressed like that?"

"Are you sure you're seeing the same things I'm seeing?" Old Bill asked.

"I'm pretty sure, sir. That's Lele Yesa, and look, that fellow next to him is Bass, and that kid owes me twelve silver-wittes. Oh, and Singer, my God, they look so weird."

"I guess they must have made a lot of money." Old Bill muttered, "I haven't heard of any rich caravan passing by recently."

The man said, "Those are clothes made of the best material. It's such a waste to wear them."

"Look at the way they walk, they really think of themselves as nobles." Old Bill shook his head: "Go, you bastard, bring me all the best spirits. It looks like they are going to have a big drink today."

"Yes boss." The man ran to the tavern.

"Remember to add more water, you bastard!"

"Understand the boss!"

Old Bill stood up when Raleigh Yesha brought his buddies to the Fighter's Tavern.

He opened his arms wide to hug each other, and at the same time shouted: "Oh, Leile, my old friend, I haven't seen you for so many days, I thought you were arrested by the empire and put on death row. Look at you, you son of a bitch must be rich!"

To his surprise, Rele Yesa did not greet him with a hug. On the contrary, when Bill came to him, Lei Lei took off the hat on his head, and then made a standard gentleman-like salute: "Nice to meet you, my old friend."

The movement stalled old Bill's hug in midair.

"Damn!" Old Bill yelled, and his beard began to tremble. "What did I see? A gentleman?"

He looked behind Lele Yesa.

Forty-five bandits bent down at the same time: "Nice to meet you!"

Bill stared dumbfounded at the group of Lei Lei, and the muscles at the corners of his mouth began to twitch: "Oh, my God. I must be dazzled, and there is something wrong with my ears. Could it be that I am really getting old? Oh, no, no, I just turned 50. What is going on? Are you not Lei Lei? Are you his brother?"

Lele Yesa replied in a modest tone: "You are not mistaken, Mr. Bill. I am Lele Yesa. Lele Yesa has no brothers, even if there are, there are my partners behind me. You will not meet forty-six pairs of twins at the same time, will you?"

"Ha, you call me sir? Call me you?"

"Yes, if you like."

"No, I don't like it. What the hell are you doing here, you son of a bitch? When did you come here to resist your big sword specially designed to scare people? When did you and your gang of bastard brothers not get drunk and smash my tavern into a mess? When did you become so gentle, a dirty and savage bastard?"

"I'm sorry about that."

"No, you don't have to be sorry, you know that's why I like you. I don't make money if you don't smash things, do you just sell wine? That's not enough."

After thinking about it, Old Bill shook his head and said, "Okay, no matter what the hell you are doing, get the hell out to my tavern now, Nathan has already prepared your favorite spirits."

Lei Lei's face was full of ugly smiles: "Actually, Mr. Bill, we will not drink strong alcohol this time. If possible, we hope to have something milder. For example... fruit wine."

"Fruit wine?" Bill's eyeballs protruded again.

"If you don't have any, some rum is fine, or a cocktail. Gentlemen don't drink hard alcohol... if they do, they only drink very little."

"Gentleman?" Old Bill almost fell over. "Fuck you gentleman. Lele, you bastard bastards, you're a bunch of savages, and now you're standing in front of me pretending to be a gentleman? Oh, my God, this is ridiculous. Lele, I warn you, don't try to trick me. If you try to fool me, I'll give you a good beating, and maybe you will be reminded of who you are, you son of a bitch. You're a gangster! And a gang leader!" You shouldn’t be wearing those bloody gold spectacles! You should be wearing an eye patch! That will make you look more vicious! Are you going to change the way of robbery, walk up to the caravan with your men in this suit, and ask them to hand over their money with words like you and sir? You perverted guy!”

Old Bill rushed up and took off Lei Lei's glasses, then threw them on the ground and stomped them to pieces.

Lei Lei was not angry at all: "If you don't have one, we can go to another tavern."

Old Bill stared at Lei Lei: "So you are playing for real?"

Lei Lei smiled ugly, and the muscles at the corners of his mouth were trembling.

Old Bill finally realized that something was wrong.

He frowned and looked at Lei Lei's group, and he realized that all the bandits seemed to have such a strange expression.

He nodded and said softly: "I understand. I said Lei Lei, if you are threatened by someone, you can wink at me."

Lei Lei blinked sharply.

Old Bill gasped.

He yelled at the tavern, "Nathan!"

"Yes boss!" The man rushed out of the tavern: "All the wine is ready."

Old Bill said in a sinister tone: "Change the wine and take out the fruit wine and rum you received a few days ago. Our guests want to be gentle today."

The clerk looked around in astonishment, then looked back at Old Bill, and after making sure that he was not joking, he replied with a tongue tied: "But boss, those wines haven't had time to be watered yet."

"I hate your incompetence!" Old Bill kicked the guy out.

He tilted his head towards Lei Lei and said, "Okay, distinguished guests, please follow me. Old Bill represents Locust Town, and welcomes you."
