Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 43 Assassination Plan

Chapter 43 Assassination Plan
"Caesar, are you feeling any better?"

Yumilia carried a cup of hot floral tea to the balcony and placed it in front of Caesar, who was reading a book.

Caesar did not say a word.

Yumilia lowered her eyes, thought for a moment, and said, "Are you hungry? Would you like to go out and get something to eat?"

"Leave me alone," Caesar said sullenly.

Yumilia knew he was still angry about what had just happened, angry because she hadn't believed him.

“Okay, I know you’re doing this for our own good. From now on, let’s all be more careful when we go out,” Yumilia said.

Caesar gave a low hum and turned his head away.

This sight truly left Yumilia feeling helpless.

“If you do this, Ita will be sad to see it,” she said.

Caesar sighed deeply: "I already said I only went there because I found a problem, why don't you believe me?"

“But you shouldn’t have started hitting someone without even knowing what happened,” Yumilia said. “You’re acting too impulsively.”

"I," Caesar choked, waving his hand impatiently, "I told you I couldn't explain it to you!"

He threw the book on the table, got up, and walked out.

"Where are you going?" Yumilia asked.

"Leave me alone!" Caesar said, then paused and added:
"I'm going for a walk on the beach!"

He left the room as he spoke, and Yumilia looked at the closed door and lowered her eyes.

“Yumeria,” Ita whispered from the side, “I… I’ll go keep an eye on Caesar.”

“Okay, come back soon,” Yumilia said.

At dusk, Caesar sat on the beach, watching the red sun slowly sink below the horizon.

The cool sea breeze on his face helped him wake up a bit.

His gaze was definitely coming from that small building, but it probably really had nothing to do with the people there.

"How did I become so emotional?" he said, rubbing the bridge of his nose, somewhat annoyed.

Even though he knew he couldn't explain it to Yumilia, he still acted like a child and sulked over it.

"Is it ultimately because the body is getting smaller? Even thinking is easily affected."

He gazed at the crimson sunset in the distance and thought to himself.

I never expected you to be so childish, Rean.

He lay down on the soft sand, tilted his head back, and saw Ita standing in front of him.

"What for?" he asked.

“Yumeria sent me to watch over you,” Ita said, head bowed.

"Oh," Caesar hummed in response, closing his eyes.

Ita gathered her skirt, sat down beside him, hugged her knees, and gazed at the sunset on the horizon.

"Caesar, why is the sunset pink?"

Caesar opened his mouth, intending to explain using a theory of atmospheric refraction, but in the end he said:
"I don't know, why?"

"Because at night, the sun takes off its clothes and becomes less dazzling, but because it's naked, it blushes and turns the clouds pink," Ita said with a smile.

Caesar opened his eyes and looked at Ita: "So that's how it is."

Seeing that Caesar hadn't laughed yet, Ita pouted slightly, tilted her head, and seemed to remember something:
"Oh, right, Caesar, shall I perform another magic trick for you?"

"What magic?"

Ita took a biscuit and a handkerchief out of his pocket, sat opposite Caesar, and held the biscuit out with both hands outstretched.

"Watch closely." She held up a handkerchief to cover her face, then raised her hand, and the cookie under the handkerchief completely disappeared.

"Ta-da! The magic trick was a huge success!"

With crumbs of biscuits still on his lips, Ita proudly raised his chin and spoke.

Caesar looked at her, and finally couldn't help but laugh out loud, patting her on the head.
"Thank you,"

Ita looked at him and smiled, then smiled back with her eyes narrowed in delight.
"Caesar looks better when he smiles; it would be a waste if he always had a stern face."

"If Caesar could smile more often in the future, I would perform a magic trick for him every day."

"Can you learn it all?" Caesar asked.

"Hmph, don't underestimate me. I learn things very quickly, and Yumilia often praises me," Ita said.

“She also often praised Caesar. Yumilia always told me that Caesar was the best and most wonderful child she had ever met, and he never caused her any worry.”

Ita scratched his head, tilted it, and said, "Although I do worry about some things sometimes."

Caesar lowered his eyes, took a deep breath, and smiled faintly.

"Alright, let's go back, it's getting dark."

"Ok!"

At this moment, the sun also withdrew its last rays from the horizon, and the beach fell into a deep blue silence.

A father and son were sitting on the beach, the father counting the stars in the night sky with his son.
"Look, that's Aquarius, and that's Arnold."

"Dad, look, there are stars in the sea!" the son suddenly exclaimed as he noticed something.

"Silly child, that's a reflection,"

"No! There really are stars, and they're so bright!"

The father looked in the direction his son was pointing and froze.
A bright "star" is slowly rising more than ten meters from the shore.

But he soon realized that it wasn't a star.

That's a big eyeball!
A colossal creature suddenly rose from the sea with a splash, emitting a piercing roar like that of a whale. This monster was nearly six meters tall, its entire body covered in dark green scales, its shape resembling that of a gorilla, with short hind limbs, thick forearms, and a head as ugly as a blobfish, but with only one eye.

It roared, opened its mouth which split open to the back of its ears, and pounced on the father and son who were terrified and trying to get up to escape.

"That was just now."

Ita and Caesar turned their heads together to look at the deep blue beach, where only the sound of the waves could be heard.

Caesar sensed something and narrowed his eyes.

"Ita, you go back first, and let Yumilia go directly to the police."

"Huh?" Before Ita could react, he saw Caesar had already dashed off.

"father!"

The boy screamed as he was seized by the siren, while his father, with a bloodied leg, lay on the ground screaming in agony, struggling to crawl over and save his child.

“Barney!” The father reached out his hand to the boy.

Just as the siren was about to throw the boy into her mouth, a sharp shout rang out:
"lay down!"

The siren hesitated for a moment, its ugly head turning in that direction.

All I could see was a black-haired boy standing there, facing the sea breeze.

Its single eye twitched, and then it tried to open its mouth again.

"I told you to put it down!"

The sound was like a thunderbolt, striking the siren's massive body. It fell to its knees uncontrollably, and the boy fell from its grasp.

One of the powers of the imperial seal: "The Wrath of Heaven".

Intimidate the target and force them to submit to you.

This power requires magic to operate, and the stronger the target, the more magic is consumed.

Barney!

Despite the pain, the father limped over and picked up the child.

Caesar gestured for them to hurry up.

The father looked at the sea monster, then at the black-haired boy, and kept saying thank you before running away with his terrified child in his arms.

Caesar's gaze fell upon the siren, who was now prostrate on the ground, her body trembling uncontrollably.

"A siren, or rather, a ghost-scaled kind. The book says it went extinct ten years ago, it shouldn't be here," he thought, frowning.

The fact that it could appear here can only mean that someone deliberately plotted against it.

Unfortunately, I can't make it speak, so I can't identify who's behind it.

"Go back into the sea and never come ashore again," Caesar commanded coldly.

The siren nodded quickly, then lay prone and slowly shrank back into the sea.

"Damn it, this is the real monster!"

On the distant rocks, a thin man holding a sniper rifle watched this scene in disbelief.

If this is reported, who will believe it?
"No, this kid must die!" he said through gritted teeth.

He picked up his sniper rifle, aimed at the small figure on the shore, and took aim.

At that moment, he saw through the sniper scope that Caesar seemed to sense something and looked at him as soon as he aimed at him.

"Are you kidding me? It's nighttime, and he's hundreds of meters away!" the man said in disbelief.

However, through the sniper scope, he could clearly see Caesar smiling slightly at him, with a relieved expression as if he had finally solved a complex math problem.

"finally found you."

Not right.

The man was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat, and his fingers stopped on the wooden board.

"We must escape!"

As soon as the idea came to him, he immediately picked up his sniper rifle, turned around and jumped off the reef, desperately running towards the nearby woods.

But after running less than 100 meters, his left leg felt like it had been hit by something, and he suddenly fell to the ground.

He propped himself up and looked down; his left leg had been pierced by a golden arrow.

"Magic? Magic?" He gasped as he looked at the arrow.

Then he looked up and saw a black-haired boy slowly walking towards him.

In his hand, he also held a bow and arrow formed entirely of golden magic.

"Damn it. He's a sorcerer." The man gritted his teeth. Now he knew he couldn't escape. He raised his sniper rifle, aimed at him, and was about to pull the trigger.

With a wave of his hand, Caesar conjured a golden spear out of thin air, which shot out and instantly shattered his sniper rifle.

Another arrow shot out, piercing his right leg and left arm, rendering him unable to move. His screams echoed through the night.

"Well then, let's get straight to the point."

Caesar squatted down in front of the man, as if he knew him very well, and pulled a dagger from his waist, waving it at him.

"Where did you come from? What is your purpose? Who is behind you?"

The man stared at him, his eyes wide, but no sound came out.

"Don't you understand?" Caesar plunged a dagger into his thigh.

"How about this? Do you understand?"

"Ahhh! I'll talk, I'll talk!" the man screamed, no longer daring to hold back, and quickly confessed everything:
"I...I am an assassin hired by Madam Anne of the Frederick family to kill that girl named Ita and prevent her from returning to inherit the position of family head!"
