Chapter 624 The Enchantress and the Executioner

Chapter 624 The Enchantress and the Executioner
Peter immediately fired a spider silk spell, intending to seal Amora's mouth, since it is well known that a mage's mouth is very important for casting spells.

However, Amora seemed to have realized this long ago, and also seemed to understand her lack of combat ability, so she released a portal that she had prepared in advance.

As green energy condensed in Amora's hand, a mist spread out, tearing the spiderweb to shreds. Then, a tall, imposing figure emerged from the smoke.

It was a bald man over two meters tall, with Viking berserker battle markings painted on his face, and holding a huge, heavy two-handed axe.

"Destroy this mortal, executioner!"

The Asgardian summoned by Amora was Skulch the Executioner, a hybrid of Asgardian and Frost Giant, possessing a physique far superior to that of a normal Asgardian. However, this also led to him being discriminated against by the Asgardians.

His lineage was also a major reason why he joined Loki's side.

Another reason is that he is the simp of the Enchantress Amora, the kind of simp who will fawn over her even if he knows that Amora doesn't like him and likes someone else.

The executioner appeared on the ground, carrying a giant axe, and walked towards Peter. Peter stuck a spider silk thread to the axe and tried to pull it off, but surprisingly, he couldn't budge it. Instead, the executioner pulled hard, causing Peter to stumble.

"Okay, I was really scared."

Hearing Amora continue casting her spell, Peter was so frightened that he let go and vanished from the spot. Upon seeing this, Amora immediately released a layer of golden dust-like substance around herself, making it easy for the invisible Spider-Man to reveal himself if he got too close.

However, it wasn't the Enchantress who first noticed something was wrong, but the executioner. The executioner, who was on guard with his giant axe, suddenly felt something step on his back. When he came to his senses, he felt something strangling his neck.

"You're so big, it would be perfect to ride on your shoulders and run around!"

As Peter reappeared, he spoke while asking curiously, "I saw at S.H.I.E.L.D. that Asgardians have a body density at least three times that of humans, but judging from how you were pulled just now, your weight hardly changed. How did you do that?"

The executioner, who had been grinning menacingly, suddenly became contorted in expression, repeatedly reaching out to grab Peter on his back. Unfortunately, he couldn't catch the agile Spider-Man; instead, he became increasingly frustrated by the constant attacks from the four mechanical claws.

As for Peter, he certainly wasn't riding on the executioner's back. While constantly dodging the executioner's grasp, he had already strangled the executioner's neck with strong enough spider silk. Now, with his easy leap, Skorch finally crashed heavily to the ground.

Amora, who had been casting spells, finally gathered enough powerful energy, and with wave after wave of energy, Spider-Man was no longer focused on severing the executioner's neck.

"Are you serious? Casting spells randomly inside the ship? What if it blows up?"

"They're just ordinary people here, so what if they die!"

As Amora spoke, she aimed and fired continuously, while Peter quickly dodged.

Just then, the executioner tore off the spiderweb around his neck, then charged at Peter with his double-handed axe. Peter dodged the attack with a backflip, then used the claws on his back to brace himself against the ground, allowing him to kick the executioner's axe powerfully in mid-air. The blow sent the executioner staggering several steps. Amora, who was casting a spell, was horrified to see the executioner retreating towards him and was knocked to the ground by the executioner.

"Well, ma'am, I have quite a few questions I'd like to ask you."

Seeing that both of them had fallen to the ground, Peter quickly used a large amount of spider silk to stick them together. Actually, he should have called Thor over at this time, because he was the only one who could verify Amora's identity. However, Thor was currently engaged in a passionate fight with Namor, or rather, he was unilaterally beating Namor in an attempt to calm him down.

"Then firstly, could you please remove the spell on Namor? He's fighting Thor right now."

Amora paused for a moment, then a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips.

"I'd love to, little spider, but I can't. I'm a mage, and I need hand gestures to guide my spellcasting. Otherwise, I can't cast spells."

Peter sensed something was amiss; his spider-sense kept beeping. Amora, who had been watching Spider-Man expectantly, became slightly confused when he didn't respond. After all, as the Enchantress, her charm could be activated through language.

Even if Spider-Man is able to resist his own charm due to his strong will, he shouldn't be completely unresponsive. What is he spacing out for?
Peter pondered for quite a while before he understood why the spider senses kept beeping.

The spider senses kept ringing at this time, intended to provide an alarm and tell Peter that he was under the influence of the enemy, but the vibrations themselves directly negated the other party's mental interference, which can only be described as an accident—the charm achieved through language is ultimately too weak.

"Oh, you're trying to bewitch me with your magic? Sorry, that trick doesn't work on me."

Amora's face instantly darkened, and then the executioner roared, tearing open the spider web and raising his giant axe to chop down. Peter easily dodged it, frowning as he looked at the ground that was almost split in two. These guys really didn't care about human life at all.

He immediately cast a spell, attempting to pull the two into the mirror space to fight, but Amora then shattered the mirror space and, gritting his teeth, hid behind the executioner and opened a portal.

This Spider-Man is so stubborn, he's so annoying!

"Let's go, Korschi. Leave this guy to our friends to deal with."

Peter couldn't stop a magician from escaping for the time being, especially since the enchantress's words contained something else that was even more attractive to him.

"Friend...you mean Dario Agger, the CEO of Roxon Corporation? She actually thinks that guy can deal with me. It seems that this CEO really has a lot up his sleeve."

Peter was thinking when a message came through the communication: Thor had knocked Namor unconscious and was preparing to take him back to Avengers Tower.
