Chapter 623 They started fighting!
Namor pulled off a major stunt at a very inopportune time—in order to weaken Kron's fighting force as much as possible, he chose to target Kron's ally, the Roxon Corporation, first.
But whether Namor had been in Atlantis for too long or had lost his mind (the latter being more likely), he completely forgot one thing: one of Roxon Corporation's ships could not represent the entire company. Even if he really smashed the ship, the entire company still had enough power to continue its operations.
Not to mention that he already knew from the Avengers that the one who carried out all of this was actually the witch Amora, and would Amora care about this ship of mortals?
As for Dario Agger, if Thor hadn't been there, he would have transformed into a minotaur and given Namor a good fight. But since Thor was there, why waste his energy?
As for Thor, although he was furious, he didn't intend to take action against these people. Although some of them might be Hydra agents, Thor didn't believe that a company could have all its employees working for Hydra; the risk of exposure would be too great. Therefore, there were actually a large number of innocent people on this ship.
Moreover, Thor didn't even consider the possibility of Loki collaborating with Hydra; he only believed that the Roxon Company had been bewitched by Amora. This way, Amora could hand over the Winter's Chest to Roxon's men, who would then deliver it to Kron, thus nominally freeing Asgard from direct interference in the Olympics.
In summary...
“Stop, Namor. Your attacks here are pointless. Most of the crew here are innocent. Even if you intend to take action, dealing with them will not help you fight the Winter's Chest.”
Thor obediently went to Namor, who was holding a trident and planning to poke eighty holes in the ship, trying to stop Namor from taking further action. However, Namor was furious and looked at Thor: "Get out of my way! Avenger! These people are all accomplices of that bastard Kron, they must die here."
“I don’t want to fight you, Namor. You are, after all, the victim…”
"Victim!" Namor glared at Thor, his anger rising like a cloud of mist. "I am not a victim! I am Namor McKenzie! Lord of the Seven Seas! The rightful King of Atlantis! I am..."
“You’re like a helpless child, Namo, stop!”
Undoubtedly, Thor's words did not help at all. Namor angrily threw a trident at Thor. Thor dodged to the side and saw Namor rushing up. Namor punched Thor squarely in the face, sending Thor flying more than ten meters away while he was flying in the air.
“Very well, Atlantean.” Thor stared at Namor, raising his hammer. “You will bear the wrath of Odin’s son!”
In an instant, lightning and a waterspout collided. Ager watched the earth-shattering battle with a smile, while the captain rushed over to report: "Mr. Ager, the ship has several holes in it and is leaking..."
"This is a 21st-century ship, Captain. Even ships from the Age of Exploration wouldn't sink just because a few holes were pierced by a trident. Let's continue our work."
After Ager finished speaking, he looked at the motionless captain and raised an eyebrow: "What are you waiting for? We have an Avenger protecting us here, not to mention a god."
Meanwhile, Peter was still monitoring the progress of the underwater probe. This probe, clearly far more advanced than usual, had reached a depth of over a thousand meters and was displaying a vibrant, lag-free video feed. The device seemed to have received some kind of instruction and was moving rapidly. Peter frowned, intending to see exactly where it had gone.
Then he heard the captain's communication.
“Spider-Man, satellite signals show you’re in the Pacific Ocean?” “Uh, yes, Captain. I opened a portal and came over. I’m much more skilled at teleportation magic now; as long as there’s a clear location description, I can teleport here. I’m going to see what the Rockxon Corporation is up to. They’re clearly not doing oil exploration anymore; it seems like they’re looking for something else. Maybe Namor knows.”
"I can't get in touch with Saul, can you stop Namor...?"
Peter immediately interrupted the captain: "The two of them are already fighting."
team leader:???
The captain remained silent for a long time after hearing this before finally reacting: "Something's not right. I admit Namor has a bad temper... or rather, a terrible one, and his behavior is different from that of the surface dwellers, but he shouldn't be this reckless. It's like he's lost his mind..."
"If it is a blonde woman wearing a green medieval robe, then I saw the enchantress Amora that Thor mentioned on the ship. Judging from her name, she has the magic to charm others. It would be normal for someone with a bad temper to become so irritable if she were affected by magic."
Peter then offered the captain a suggestion: "But considering Namor's personality, Captain, don't you think having Thor beat him up would actually be a good idea?"
"That's a good idea indeed; disobedient soldiers need to be taught a lesson."
The captain chuckled, then gave Peter a heads-up: "I'm not entirely sure what Rockxon gave the White House, but the White House isn't willing to revoke Rockxon's overseas mining licenses. Since you say they're looking for something else, then find that thing. Also, be careful."
"learn."
Peter, who had hung up the phone, continued to monitor the situation. The commotion outside was terrifying, but it didn't affect Peter inside the ship. His spider-sense precognitive abilities didn't see Thor or Namor sink the ship, and he had already relinquished control of the monitoring equipment, deleting his control records and allowing the Roxon Corporation personnel to continue the investigation.
Finally, the robot stopped on a building in Atlantis. Peter transmitted all of this back to Avengers headquarters, hoping they could provide some answers.
as well as.
“If you’re planning to ambush me with magic, ma’am, my advice is not to raise your hands so high—the movement is a bit too exaggerated.”
Four mechanical spider claws emerged from behind Peter. He stood up, turned around, and looked at Amora, who had walked up behind him and was preparing to ambush him. He then dispelled his invisibility, which was of little use to a mage.
Amora looked at the mortal and chuckled softly: "Even so, what can you do, child?"
"Uh, so you're being arrested?"
I went back and took a look and found that the previous chapter was poorly written.
