Chapter 622 Namor, what are you doing!
Peter Parker fell silent.
Peter Parker stopped thinking.
Peter mechanically recounted how Namor had knocked Pym unconscious onto the public channel, and then swore he heard the captain utter five consecutive F-words in a row.
Then Peter heard the captain say helplessly to Thor in the voice chat: "Thor, stop Namor, and if necessary, use force to stop him. Acting recklessly without knowing the enemy's specific situation will only bring harm."
Then there was another long silence on the communication channel, until Little Hornet asked uncertainly, "Does Thor not know how to use this thing?"
"He's used it before, so he just hasn't replied."
Tony, looking rather weary, said that Thor's anger was understandable. Whether it was Loki or Odin who planned to open the Winter's Box on Earth, Thor would be caught in a dilemma and would ultimately have no choice but to face it all with anger.
It's just that the situation isn't very good for the Avengers.
“I discussed it with Strange, and it’s difficult to directly combat the Winter’s Box from a magical standpoint.” Peter explained his situation first: “However, I mentioned Iceman from the X-Men to him, and he thinks Iceman might be able to close the Winter’s Box.”
“Great, Janet, go and contact Emma Foster. We need to ask her for help.”
Tony gave Bumblebee instructions, but then everyone fell silent. They were trying to figure out how to close the Winter's Treasure Box after it was opened.
And to devise a way to steal the Winter's Chest before it's opened. This is exactly what Tony wants Peter to do: find evidence that the Avengers are capable of intervening.
Peter immediately activated satellite communication, located the vicinity of Atlantis, transformed his nanosuit into the Iron Spider suit, flew at full speed to the vicinity, and then activated the stealth suit to infiltrate the Roxon Energy Company's cruise ship.
However, he didn't see Thor or Namor along the way, and he didn't know if they had already started fighting.
"This city is more than a thousand meters underwater..."
Both Namor and Sol were focused on the deep sea at that moment, so much so that Roxon Energy, which had been working on building its mining platform, was largely ignored.
As Peter crept into the cruise ship, he continued to analyze the data he had previously discovered at the Roxon Energy headquarters. Apart from the hastily prepared seabed analysis report, all the data from this exploration were strange, giving the impression of shooting the arrow first and then drawing the target.
"It's like assuming there's oil under the seabed here and then finding all sorts of evidence to prove it. If any of these arguments were even slightly plausible, they wouldn't be so outrageous. They're all just made up."
Even so, this is not a capital offense for a company, and it is not enough to justify the Avengers' attack.
The fact that they were in such a hurry only further suggests that their goal was not to become an ordinary Atlantean who was hostile to Namor, nor to obtain the kingdom of Atlantis, but rather to do something more secretive.
Peter pondered as he searched the ship for the others. First, there was Namor and Thor, still... nowhere to be found.
Then came the people on the ship… A blonde woman appeared in the corridor, stunningly beautiful. Peter paused for a moment, then immediately realized that the woman was Amora and chose to follow her.
“Ms. Amora, I hope you can make sufficient commitments. The Roxon Corporation has already invested a considerable amount of resources in the Fog Kingdom, but we have not received any returns, and we cannot continue to invest.”
The Land of Mist? It seems to be one of the Nine Realms, the homeland of the Dark Elves. Speaking of which, although the Casket of Winter is a weapon of the Frost Giants, Malekith is used more often in the comics. Considering this, perhaps Malekith is also one of the masterminds behind it all?
Peter secretly hid in a corner of the conference room, eavesdropping on the conversation, and he quickly understood what had happened.
Roxon Energy and Amora reached an agreement that if Roxon Energy found something Malekith needed, Malekith would allow Roxon Energy employees to enter his Fog Kingdom, allowing them to freely extract oil that had been ignored for millions of years.
and then?
Peter wanted to hear if there was any more exciting news, but he was told that Roxon's reason for doing all this was really to drill for oil?
For a moment, Peter felt incredibly tense, completely at a loss as to how to handle or resolve the situation. Fortunately, he soon didn't have to think about the problem anymore.
Because he heard Thor's roar.
The god of thunder descended from the sky, bringing with him boundless rage. Thor slammed heavily onto the deck, and soon everyone on the mainland, including Daario Agger, went to negotiate with him.
However, Amora ran away beforehand.
"You have stolen the Winter's Chest, which belongs to Asgard. Now, I demand that you hand over the Winter's Chest and come to Asgard to stand trial!"
Whether Thor's question stemmed from a genuine belief in how things should be done or was merely a joke, it drew the attention of Roxon and his group, allowing Peter to explore other parts of the ship.
For example, a computer that is receiving data from a running detection device.
"The detector's receiver is great. It will allow me to see what Roxon is detecting."
Using nanorobots, Peter quickly hacked into the computer, began analyzing and summarizing the data, and looked for anything strange in it.
At that moment, the detector suddenly showed a violent change in the surrounding environment. At first, Peter did not notice what was happening until the whole ship began to shake.
What happened?
Peter quickly adjusted the detector and finally got the answer he wanted. Namor, holding the trident, began to destroy the cruise ship, completely disregarding the lives of the hundreds of people on board.
And something even more troublesome, something that will leave you speechless.
Arger, who was arguing with Thor about the Winter's Chest, was surprisingly calm after encountering this situation and looked directly at Thor.
"Thor! Whatever misunderstandings we may have, these ordinary workers are innocent. I beg you, great god of thunder, save us!"
