Chapter 540 Hulk VS Ghost Rider
Arizona desert, Cube Labs.

Because a young man named Rick Jones, who had never been a ghost boy, accidentally wandered into the testing site, no one, including Bruce Banner, was harmed. Until this moment, a skull riding a fire motorcycle stormed into the testing base, braving heavy military fire to fight his way into the testing building.

"Damn it, stop him! Where's the Avengers?! Where are the Avengers?!"

General Ross, who was in charge of the Cube base, couldn't help but roar, but the people around him were at a loss and didn't know what to do. Accompanying the roar was the Ghost Rider, who was laughing wildly, who stormed into the test field. There were some newly created gamma soldiers here, who were released to deal with the Ghost Rider.

Or rather, they believed they could deal with Ghost Rider.

A strong gamma soldier punched Ghost Rider on the head, but Ghost Rider only subconsciously tilted his head to the side of the fist, then looked at the soldier with a fiery vortex burning in his eyes, and judged him.

"Your soul is stained with the blood of the innocent; accept your judgment."

As the Gamma soldier's eyes were seared by hellfire, he collapsed to the ground. Ghost Rider effortlessly swept through a large group of Gamma soldiers, heading towards Bruce Banner. Banner, completely unaware that he was the target, continued with the normal retreat procedure. As a result, the wall was burned through, and a skull wearing a spiked leather jacket, engulfed in hellfire and bound by chains, emerged.

"Oh my god, I have to become religious from now on."

As Banner spoke, he grabbed his bag and ran away quickly. Ghost Rider ignored the soldiers' rifle fire, melting their weapons with his burning chains. He then hooked Banner's feet with the chains, dragged him to his side, lifted him by the collar, and looked him in the eye.

"Accept your judgment, Bruce Banner, accept your true soul."

Hellfire burned in Banner's eyes. He saw himself being hit by an excessive amount of gamma rays to save a young man named Rick Jones, becoming the Hulk. He saw the battle between the Hulk as a monster and the Hulkbuster team. He saw the great battle with Bronsky in Brooklyn. He saw the Battle of New York and the Avengers.

These are things that never happened in this time and space, but now they have appeared in Banner's memory.

The burning continued, but the trial was over. Ghost Rider, with a mixture of confusion and感慨, said, "You hurt many people, but your soul was kind, your repentance was sincere, and your sins were light..."

A giant green fist slammed into Ghost Rider's burning head without warning, sending him flying. Banner gritted his teeth, his muscles bulging, and roared in pain as he transformed into a giant green monster.

The Ghost Rider, who had fallen into the ruins, got up. He was immune to physical damage, but that didn't mean he was immune to physical effects; he would still be knocked away.

What's Mephisto doing? Wasn't he supposed to only awaken souls? How come he restored the reality that was altered by the Cosmic Cube too?!
Oh, he only mentioned awakening the soul, not other effects, so it can't be considered a lie.

Ghost Rider stood up and saw Hulk charging towards him. He cheered and swung the chain at Hulk, lassoing it tightly around Hulk's neck like a cowboy in the Wild West, then gave a hard yank. He couldn't budge it.

Ghost Rider stared blankly at Hulk for a few seconds, watching Hulk grit his teeth and pull on the chain that was firmly stuck around his neck. He didn't understand why he couldn't break the chain, so he chose to pull on the chain, slamming Ghost Rider to the ground on the other side. Then he switched sides and slammed him to the ground several times. Finally, he simply used Ghost Rider as a flail and slammed him to the ground.

Ghost Rider seized the opportunity, firmly planted himself on the ground, and then flames ignited along the chains, engulfing Hulk's body. Hulk howled in pain under the intense heat, but struggled to grab the chains, pulling them towards him little by little until Ghost Rider was in front of him. Then, he delivered a heavy headbutt to Ghost Rider's head.

Ghost Rider looked at Hulk and asked in confusion.

"Are you sure you want to continue doing this? It's pointless."

The Hulk responded to Ghost Rider with a roar. Whether it was the wind pressure from the roar or Hulk's saliva, it almost extinguished the flames on Ghost Rider's head. Ghost Rider then retaliated with a headbutt, which also set Hulk's head ablaze. Whether it caused any effective damage is unknown, but Hulk's hair is probably gone.

Hulk took two steps back, achieving his goal. His neck was no longer constricted, allowing him to breathe freely. He stomped heavily in the direction of Ghost Rider, and with the ground cracking open, Ghost Rider fell into the crevice and got stuck.

At this moment, applause broke out. Mephisto appeared, smiling as he looked at the two combatants, then at Hulk: "Hulk, Bruce Banner, you were originally two sides of the same person, but through a series of circumstances, you gradually became two people. That's quite remarkable. I have a suggestion that you might find acceptable."

"I can help you restore the entire world, and the price will be negligible. You have two souls; give one to me. The other person can possess both bodies simultaneously, but with only one consciousness. How about that?"

"So, this is your purpose."

The Ghost Rider, who had crawled out of the ground, suddenly spoke up, looked at Mephisto, and hurled his chains at him. Mephisto blocked the chains, raising an eyebrow: "You can't be that stupid, can you, Johnny?"

“Of course not. I made two new friends on the way, Mephisto.” Ghost Rider chuckled, the chains in his hands spinning rapidly, hellfire forming a burning arc in the air. “They taught me a few new tricks.”

Suddenly, a door opened in the arc, and Strange emerged with Peter and Logan, blocking Mephisto's path. Strange, having gathered his strength and prepared his mana, smiled at Mephisto and said, "Mephisto Felice, nice to meet you."

"Can I ask you to go back to hell?"

Fun fact: Ghost Rider doesn't actually ignore physical damage; rather, his inferno grants him immortality and super-fast regeneration, making it appear as if he ignores physical damage. Compared to other self-healing characters, his main advantage is his immortality.
