Chapter 522 The Place in the New World

Let's rewind to 18 hours after Doctor Octopus announced his takeover of Manhattan, around 6 a.m. on June 2nd. As another morning dawned, JJJ, having rested overnight, resumed his battle broadcasts. He continued his relentless reporting of the protests. No one knew where he had hidden a radio, but he was indeed still fighting.

As dawn broke, a war began. The Wild Band's mercenaries emerged from the sewers and engaged in battle with the NYPD, who had been bribed by Doctor Octopus, and Doctor Octopus's octopus robots.
