Chapter 493 Earth 811: The Final Battle

After Peter and his team returned to the temporary base with Apocalypse, Katie also returned with her spoils of war. They didn't bring back much: the captain's broken shield, a cobbled-together MK6 suit of armor that could be used by Ultron, and a few tubes of Pym Particles.

There were also some weapons brought out from the Sanctuary. Apocalypse really liked a giant axe and took it, while Peter took the Dragon Fang Sword.

"I'm not sure if this is right, because it seems like I've always been carrying the Dragon Fang Sword in the past."

Peter looked at the professor, who gave him a reassuring smile: "This is good news. It shows that the pasts of the two worlds diverged significantly, and they will not suffer the same fate as us."

Even so, even though the two timelines have begun to diverge into independent universes, Nimrod's plan remains unchanged: the evil artificial intelligence intends to extend its tentacles to other universes and completely annihilate all the mutants in all universes.

“We have to stop him. This might be our only chance.” Peter took a deep breath. “At all costs.”

In one possible Limbo—due to the linear limitation of Limbo's timeline, the theoretically unique and multifaceted Limbo, when conflicting with the flow of time, could generate parallel versions similar to the Pocket Dimension. One such version is the location where Nimrod built his factory and headquarters after contacting Magik.

"My God, that thing is huge."

Katie, who did not witness the massacre in Kenosha, met the "Wild Sentinels" for the first time, who had completely disappeared after the Kenosha massacre. If the original model was the core and central hub of the Sentinels, then the Wild Sentinels were the Sentinels' aircraft carriers. These super robots, hundreds of meters tall and containing a large number of Sentinels, had only one purpose: to carry out mass killings in units of at least millions.

If Magneto were still alive, he might have been able to put up a fight against the Wild Sentinels. Unfortunately, Nimrod personally killed Magneto at the very beginning of the Genosha massacre, and from then on, no one was able to stop the Wild Sentinels.

Now, Peter and his companions have seen seven or eight such monsters on the border of hell.

“There’s nothing left in our world that Nimrod would want to destroy, and his programming won’t allow him to fight aliens.” Peter said helplessly after making a half-complaint, “So Nimrod can only have one enemy: he plans to invade other universes and wipe out the mutants in those universes.”

"As a machine, his ambition is truly unprecedented, and he doesn't consider any logic at all."

As Apocalypse spoke, he took a deep breath, then raised his hands. With a powerful force field, all the Wild Sentinels collapsed instantly. But Apocalypse looked somewhat weak after doing all this, so he looked at Magik: "You can move now, if you really have an army."

“I do have an army.” Iliana raised her sword. “I always have.”

Countless demons emerged from every corner of the Hell's Border. If Nimrod were a sentient being, he would surely have replaced Iliana as the master of the Hell's Border. However, Nimrod is not; he is merely an artificial intelligence. Therefore, Iliana has always been the true master of the Hell's Border.

This means that outside of Nimrod's controlled territory, in other areas of the vast Hell's Frontier, countless demons still obeyed Iliana's orders. They rushed madly into the Sentinel base, charged into battle, and fought against a large number of Sentinel robots.

That's enough. The role of these grunts is over. Now it's up to Peter and his team to take action. They will advance further forward and penetrate deep into Nimrod's core. They need to take advantage of the opportunity when Nimrod's computing power drops due to its actions on 616 to wipe them out in one fell swoop.

Iliana used the teleportation belt to enter a corner of the factory area, where a large number of ordinary sentinels were fighting demons. At the same time, countless sentinel robots began to appear one after another in the factories to attack the demons.

Peter handed a box to Phantom Cat, who nodded and went inside the facility. After a long minute, it finally came out empty-handed.

"It's solved. I've uploaded Ultron to Nimrod's database." This was the second step, and Peter breathed a sigh of relief.

Ultron has always been the survivors' best and only means of evading Nimrod's pursuit and various surveillance devices. However, for this desperate gamble, Peter chose to cram the entire Ultron program into a mainframe and install it into the factory's system. Ultron will do everything in its power to reduce Nimrod's computing power and further weaken them before it is completely destroyed or integrated.

Peter then looked at the professor.

“I found her. Rakshasa is indeed the key to all of this.”

The professor sighed helplessly. Rakshasa was still alive, and had lived until now, at least that's what his brainwave perception told him. In order to ensure that Nimrod wouldn't create new Nimrod Sentinels for their next operation, they had to rescue Rakshasa or kill her.

Everyone looked at Sunspot, who nodded, burned himself, and flew into the sky. After being transformed by Apocalypse, this man was no longer Sunspot.

He is the true sun.

"The scorching flames will bring drought, go forth, my famine knight."

As Apocalypse recovered his strength, he looked at the sunspots in the sky. Several Nimrod Sentinels had already taken off and rushed towards him, but he did not dodge. Instead, he followed the professor's instructions and rushed towards a certain location.

Then came an unprecedented explosion. After the explosion subsided, several Nimrod Sentinels were completely incinerated, leaving only some liquid promethium metal, which returned to Hell's Frontier.

With their final resolve, they entered Nimrod's manufacturing plant.

There is no Rakshasa here, or rather, there is no Rakshasa as Peter and his contemporaries believed.

One after another, identical Rakshasa clones, their brains removed, were born from petri dishes, their DNA extracted, and then destroyed. Meanwhile, one Nimrod Sentinel after another appeared, surrounding everyone.

Then they heard applause.

“A powerful will, my friends, just as I know it in history.”

A Ninglu spoke, even revealing a smile: "Let me introduce myself, I am Ninglu, from 2059."

"I will be the mutant of the new era."

Apocalypse Knights don't necessarily need to be mutants; there's a storyline in the comics where Spider-Man was transformed into an Apocalypse Knight.

Apocalypse's skin color is wrong; he actually has gray skin.
