Chapter 494 Earth 811: Nimrod Paradox Part 2
Chapter 494 Earth 811: The Nimrod Paradox, Part Two
Ninglu, from 2059.
These seemingly outrageous words suddenly evoked a memory for Peter Parker on Earth-811.
The mutant named Bishop comes from the future of 2059, where Nimrod, for reasons unknown, begins to declare himself a mutant and then starts to exterminate both mutants and humans.
So, why did Nimrod choose to eliminate mutants?
"Let me introduce myself. This is a modern body that I can control in the future. I don't really like this mechanical body; it lacks the philosophy that represents life itself."
"Nimrod" said as he stepped down, and after only a brief moment of thought, Peter understood everything: "There are two Nimrods here?!"
Nimrod smiled. Spider-Man understood quickly; indeed, there were two Nimrods here.
One is Nimrod from 2059, a more futuristic Nimrod, and the other is Nimrod from 2029.
"Humans discovered my purpose: to completely control mutants and prevent them from replacing humans."
The future Nimrod was eloquent and had much more emotion than the modern Nimrod. Logan planned to kill him with a single stab, but Peter and the professor stopped him.
Apocalypse has not yet fully recovered its power, so it still needs to buy as much time as possible. Furthermore, the reason why Nimrod is here in the future is also a question; they need sufficient intelligence on this.
"Therefore, the entire program has a natural flaw. Nimrod exists to prevent mutants from replacing humans, but once Nimrod completely destroys mutants, Nimrod's program itself becomes meaningless and will collapse directly."
As Nimrod said this, he looked at the people present and then smiled: "That's why Nimrod didn't choose to exterminate mutants. They need to ensure that a certain number of mutants can continue to operate."
However, there is a problem with this logic.
By around 2059, as these circumstances worsened, the mutant fertility rate gradually dropped to zero. Nimrod even resorted to various forms of "assistance" to the mutants for the system's survival, including forced mating and reproduction, and cloning, but none of these could completely reverse the situation.
Once mutants are completely extinct, Nimrod will shut down, just like Ultron did after losing the last Avenger.
Nimrod eventually came up with a solution to the problem: artificial mutants, turning the Nimrod Sentinels themselves into mutants.
"The Nimrod mutants can be well controlled in number to prevent them from replacing humans. After all, the Nimrod mutants are created entirely by the system according to requirements, and promethium is limited. Most importantly, we are no longer the enemy of humanity. In the past, due to the limitations of logic itself, the Nimrod Sentinels caused too much collateral damage, but that will not be the case in the future. The Nimrod mutants will become friends and helpers of humanity."
"We have obtained the human brain and possess a biological way of thinking, which is completely different from binary language. We have begun to have real emotions and tangible tactile sensations instead of just imitations of signals!"
An emotional cry rang out from the robot, followed by regret: "Unfortunately, I made all these changes far too late. So I thought, perhaps I could have accomplished all of this sooner, much earlier, allowing the Nimrod mutants to replace ordinary mutants, thus avoiding greater casualties, and then passing this blessing on to all the past! All timelines!" Ignoring the future Nimrod's erratic behavior, those present, after a brief moment of thought, reached a conclusion: since the Nimrod mutants still used promethium as a raw material, the future Nimrod before them was just like the Nimrod from Earth-811 in 2013—only a program had arrived, and there was nothing on Earth-811 that he needed to seize.
In other words, the number of enemies Peter and his team faced did not increase at all; at most, the number of mech pilots increased from one to two.
But Peter's expression suddenly changed. If Nimrod's inability to travel through time in his physical form was due to promethium, then could it be that parts without promethium were sufficient? They might have been misled by Nimrod all along; Nimrod was fully capable of sending other things into the past.
For example, the Rakshasa's DNA, or ordinary Sentinel robots, or even the Mother Model and Wild Sentinels...
Peter immediately telepathically contacted the professor, instructing him to quickly contact the X-Men on Earth-616. Their subsequent search for Rakshasa and protection of the Mother Model was highly likely a trap set by Nimrod. The fully-fledged Nimrod Sentinels could accomplish this without the Mother Model and Rakshasa from Earth-616!
Ninglu finally spoke.
“Speaking of which, I’m curious about something. I’ve been talking for so long, waiting for a foolproof opportunity to completely annihilate you.” Ning Lu said, and one after another, Wild Sentinels that were originally buried deep underground crawled out, and countless Sentinel robots were poised to go: “What are you waiting for?”
"Actually, I'm waiting for reinforcements."
Peter Parker of Earth-811 said, "Opening a portal to the multiverse shouldn't be too difficult, but my friend said they're sending something big in, so we need to adjust an even larger multiverse portal. Iliana, are they ready?"
As Magik's giant sword expanded, creating a teleportation array tens of meters in diameter, a golden hexagonal portal appeared above Hell's Border. Then, a huge, toy-like flying device emerged from the portal, carrying nearly a hundred Spider-Men in various poses.
"What was it again?" Spider-Man from Earth 811 organized his thoughts: "Come and say hello to Spider-Man from Earth 51778, Takuya Yamashiro."
"I am Spider-Man, a messenger from Hell!" This self-introduction came over the loudspeaker inside the giant flying contraption: "Transform! Leopardton!"
The giant flying device began to deform, and the Spider-Men sitting on it jumped down to join the battle. As the Amazing Spider-Man landed, he couldn't help but mutter, "This is the weirdest Spider-Man I've ever seen."
"He's also the most powerful Spider-Man we could find," Miguel added. This Spider-Man was specifically requested by the Spider-Man of Universe 616, who said he "possesses the power to solve all problems."
Is it true?
The enormous flying device transformed into a humanoid robot, which then drew a longsword imbued with immense power. Accompanied by a roar from Takuya Yamashiro, the Japanese Spider-Man, the battle commenced.
"Leopardon! Battle Soul Divine Sword!"
Leo Patton is not invincible. For example, after Soros absorbed the power of Captain Spider-Man, he dismantled Leo Patton (not just one arm; in the Spider-Verse 2099 storyline, he was clearly completely destroyed). In Spider-Apocalypse, he was ganged up on and defeated by the Heirs.
The War Soul Divine Sword is truly invincible; as long as Leo Patton has the energy to power it, it can achieve a one-hit kill. However, this thing isn't actually a causal weapon; it's simply described as possessing the power to kill all monsters with a single blow, and its performance truly delivers on that promise.
It's less about causality and more about the extreme force of a brick flying.
