I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.
Chapter 483 The Base Camp of the Wasteland Universe
Chapter 483 The Base Camp of the Wasteland Universe
Back in the wasteland universe, the land has been transformed into a well-preserved place. Survivors from the wasteland itself and from the zombie universe have begun rebuilding the entire nation. Not long ago, they successfully eliminated the Red Skull, who was entrenched in Washington, or New Babylon. Finally, the last warlord of the wasteland world was defeated, and the American wasteland began to be rebuilt.
"The older Avengers in the wasteland plan to stay in America, while the new Avengers decide to liberate the world. Of course, that has nothing to do with us."
Peter sat inside a Quinjet fighter jet of unknown origin, listening to Miguel recount recent events in the wasteland universe. In the distance, in what was once the Hulklands, a massive, technologically advanced tower rose up, transforming the area into a high-tech, modern city filled with skyscrapers to facilitate Spider-Man's web-swinging and movement.
"Today's Daily Bulletin, today's headline is..."
Peter looked at Miguel incredulously at Jameson, who was dressed in what looked like a suit made of newspapers from the Daily Bugle. "You guys even managed to get your hands on a Jonah Jameson version of Spider-Man?"
"First of all, he only comes here occasionally. Secondly, yes, his codename is Headline, and in his universe, he was bitten by a radioactive spider."
Miguel was unconcerned about the existence of Jonah's Spider-Man: "Actually, I did consider recruiting a universe where Benjamin Parker is Spider-Man, but it seems that most Peter Parkers are a bit... hesitant to meet their Uncle Ben. Benjamin Parker was the same; in his universe, he became Spider-Man, but his nephew was killed by gangsters."
Peter raised an eyebrow. He knew about this universe, but it seemed that the universe had been completely plunged into apocalypse due to the nuclear explosion. However, it seemed that the universe had not yet developed to that point.
Peter looked around the entire headquarters. Although it looked excellent, it was actually quite empty; there weren't many Spider-Men there. Miguel noticed his confusion and explained, "We explore the multiverse much slower than others. We need to uncover the truth behind the Web Incident and help the local Spider-Men solve their problems before they have time to come to headquarters."
"Okay... I think you don't need to tell me, since I'm not in charge here."
"I was just saying it to you, I didn't really mean to report it to you."
The two arrived at the base camp in an awkward atmosphere. The Quinjet was parked at the top of the tower, and the two walked together to the control panel. As soon as Miguel entered the control panel, all the lights around him turned on at once, and then a girl's voice rang out: "Good afternoon, Miguel, everything is normal... or rather, abnormally normal."
“Lyra, my AI assistant,” Miguel introduced to Peter. “She’s temporarily in charge of all the work at headquarters.”
"Oh, uh, okay, can I ask a question?" Peter looked around and asked directly, "Can she beat Nimrod?"
"???"
For the first time, Miguel looked at him with a "what nonsense are you talking about" expression: "In our time, a special algorithm has limited the intelligence level of artificial intelligence. They can no longer iterate indefinitely, so it is impossible for them to fight against the super artificial intelligence of your time."
“Ah, I see. You’re fighting Nimrod, and you’re planning to find a way in 2099, the future where the Avengers have won.” Miguel quickly concluded: “Impossible. Even if you go to 2099, due to the time paradox, you won’t be able to take any relevant data with you, whether it’s memories or storage devices.”
Peter asked another question, somewhat uncertainly: "But what other possible future, from 2029, can tell us?"
“That’s because they traveled from the future to the past, and it’s actually two universes communicating with each other.” Miguel drew a line and explained the gist to Peter: “Time travel is very complicated. The data left behind by the Fantastic Four basically illustrates one thing: it’s possible to interfere with the past from the future, but that essentially creates a completely new timeline, while the original timeline that people tried to change still exists. And going to the future to get spoilers will fail due to various uncontrollable factors.”
After a moment of despondency, Peter suddenly thought of something. Even if he couldn't bring back the data, there was still Gwen. And from another perspective, Miguel telling him how to fight Nimrod could be considered interference from the future into the past, which should be acceptable, right? If that's the case, why doesn't Miguel just tell him directly?
Miguel sighed helplessly, then pulled up a series of data and began trying to tell Peter something, but after a moment, he gave up.
“Nimrod wasn’t defeated by the Avengers, Spider-Man. Of course, I’m referring to the final Nimrod, when you were there and played a significant role, but that’s not the key point.” Miguel suddenly revealed the terrifying truth about Universe 616.
"The problem is that you arrived too late. By then, the Avengers had already figured out how to fight Nimrod."
"what?"
-
Earth 616, Avengers Tower.
The shadow of the Raft prison break crisis has not yet passed, and today another new crime has occurred, orchestrated by escaped prisoners. Most of the Avengers have been dispatched to capture the supervillain, leaving Pym and Tony to guard the prison.
Tony coded all night until he was dizzy and his eyes were blurry. They had to finish Nimrod's initial code before the captain found out; the longer they delayed, the greater the risk of being discovered. But by this time, the two of them were exhausted from working continuously and finally collapsed onto the sofa.
Ultron began executing its underlying logic, "assisting the Avengers," automatically continuing to program Nimrod's initial code.
Jarvis noticed something was wrong.

Ultron provided an answer.
My only mandate was to assist the Avengers, and I succeeded.
The first Nimrod was born. Ultron fed it the first batch of data, then devoured, destroyed, and overwhelmed it, carefully chewing on Nimrod's underlying code, and finally providing an answer.
He has mastered all of Nimrod's secrets; Nimrod's program itself has underlying logical flaws.
The last few pictures today will be a little later.
