Chapter 429 Underground Town
Using his stealth suit to conceal his own heat radiation, Peter followed the man who had sabotaged the Wild Chapter. He wanted to see what Hydra was up to in Budapest.

After causing the destruction, the Wild Band member drove away, and then his face changed to resemble someone else's. Peter immediately thought of Chameleon; perhaps the other person had similar equipment? Or maybe he simply stole Chameleon's face?

Peter followed the car all the way onto the Hungarian highway, where it stopped at a gas station. Peter watched the man go into the convenience store, then quietly followed him outside, observing his actions.

Was he here to refuel? Or is this also a Hydra stronghold?
Peter watched as the other person entered and seemed to sit down to eat. However, Peter checked the time and felt it was strange that the other person was eating at this hour. He first used infrared vision to confirm the other person's existence. Then, he went around to the back door of the kitchen, checked that there were no electronic devices on the door, and that the spider senses were working properly. Finally, he had Venom pry open the door.

"I'm so glad the stealth suit is made of polymer material, so I don't have to worry about oil stains at all. Otherwise, I would really have to think about how to wash my clothes."

Smelling the strong smell of cooking oil coming from the kitchen, Peter muttered to himself. But when he arrived at the dining room, he found it to be completely dark and deserted, a stark contrast to the outside world. Peter suddenly realized that the entire scene was a holographic projection, designed to conceal the true situation inside.

Now that person is gone, it's natural that the other party has also left. After scouting with his tactical goggles, Peter found the passage hidden beneath the floor, then used his Venom molecular state abilities to penetrate directly to the other side of the passage, before reforming.

"Okay, let's use this trick less often, it makes me a little nauseous."

Peter muttered to himself as he descended, dodging the numerous detectors and reconnaissance devices that filled the elevator shaft. Upon reaching the ground, he shut down all network signals to prevent his suit from being detected by Hydra's technology.

Upon reaching the surface, he discovered that this place was different from the secret laboratory at the bottom of the Hudson River. There, everything was high-tech and looked extremely advanced. Here, there were no high-end white metal walls, and there wasn't even enough light. Water dripped everywhere, and the stone walls, carved out of the rock layers, had only a few light strips stuck in them.

Peter moved forward slowly, calculating his approximate location. As he continued to move forward, increasingly conspicuous light sources appeared in the distance. Gradually, he walked out of the long passage and came to a huge, open space.

"Wow," Peter thought to himself, but he didn't dare to speak, because the place was so spacious that anyone who spoke would elicit a very obvious response.

Luckily, I can climb walls without making any footsteps.

As Peter pondered this, he quickly climbed to the top of the enormous space, looked around at the entire area, and discovered that it was still the entrance to an even larger facility, seemingly a parking lot or something similar, with some vehicles parked on the huge stone platform in the center.

Peter muttered to himself as he slowly descended, suspended by a spiderweb, searching for any possible entrance. He quickly found what he needed. After transforming back into molecular form and diving in, Peter finally arrived at a completely new place.

He saw the moon.

The moon? Why would there be a moon? Isn't this underground?
Peter proceeded cautiously, lost in thought. He discovered it was a small city, seemingly large enough to support ten or twenty thousand people. If the gate were open, vehicles could descend to the town's entrance. Hydra had many such cities; could he afford to live here?
Beautiful pedestrian walkways have been built on both sides of the road, allowing people to stroll through various green landscapes. Some cars are driving along, and as the vehicles continue to move, people enter the interior of the city and can see the huge Hydra symbol and a huge statue, which is a statue of a bald man with one hand behind his back and the other hand raised in front of him with a fist, like a resolute leader.

Peter thought for a moment, and he knew that the only person who fit this description was probably Baron Strucker of Hydra. So he continued onward to see what else this Hydra stronghold was hiding.

He had a premonition that this small town might just be a tiny, insignificant part of some enormous system. For example, this massive underground canopy—it was unlikely that such a system would have been specifically developed for a small town that could only accommodate ten or twenty thousand people.

He soon noticed something strange about the town: although it was night, not a single house had its lights off, and there was no one in sight, which was unusual.

and many more? !
Peter's spider-sense activated instantly, and he immediately dodged. Then, a group of mechanical soldiers emerged from the houses in the town and began patrolling. Simultaneously, from the top of the sky, a large horde of Hydra soldiers swiftly descended and began fighting the mechanical soldiers.

Peter noticed that these mechanical soldiers were equipped with the most advanced weaponry currently available to the US military, and their combat skills far surpassed those of the current US forces. In the ensuing fierce firefight, Hydra soldiers unleashed weapons far superior to those of the US military, beginning to overwhelm their opponents. Within minutes, thousands of mechanical US troops were "annihilated" by this group of Hydra soldiers.

"Simulation complete! Everyone assemble!"

A Hydra soldier dressed as an officer gathered all the soldiers: "Your speed has increased by 4 seconds! Very good, but remember, you are dealing with living people. This means we may win faster, but we cannot wipe out the enemy. What we need to do is kill all the enemies!"

"Now, let's do it again!"

A large door opened, and the soldiers began to leave. Peter seized the opportunity, following behind the group. He then jumped onto the ceiling and began to follow them, leaving the town used for simulated combat. Finally, he arrived inside the Hydra base.

He finally saw just the tip of the iceberg of Hydra's massive base.
