Chapter 427 You traitor!
"Mr. Maurice Bench, I've basically figured out why Spider-Man was able to defeat you. He released a high-energy particle into the water you controlled. This particle spread rapidly throughout your water, causing it to continuously electrolyze and explode. A brilliant idea. I don't know if Spider-Man came up with it himself or if someone helped him."

Anim Zola cackled, but the Waterman who heard this breathed a sigh of relief. It turned out that his secret affair with Spider-Man hadn't been exposed. That was great.

He then continued the conversation along Zola's lines: "So, is there a solution, Mr. Zola?"

"Yes, the solution is actually very simple: just avoid using water. After all, water is a prerequisite for water electrolysis, and if we don't use water, we can avoid all of this."

Hearing Zola's words, the water elemental seemed a little confused, and then asked Zola, "If I don't use water, then what will I use?"

“The answer is that you are no longer needed, Mr. Maurice Bench.” Zola’s large face revealed a rather satisfied smile. “You think I don’t know your little tricks? We Hydra can monitor all humidity changes in the area near Spider-Man. Do you think we can’t detect those humidity anomalies?”

“Mr. Morris, your every move is under the surveillance of Hydra.”

"Wait, I can explain!"

Hydra spoke in a panic, and Zola fell silent. Hydra quickly thought for a moment and began to organize his thoughts: "Now Spider-Man, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Avengers all believe I really want to surrender. Perhaps this is an opportunity? Dr. Zola, this might be an opportunity to deal with Spider-Man and his crew. You know, we don't just need to face Spider-Man alone, we even need to face the Avengers. If... if..."

The Water Elemental fell silent, for he noticed that Zola was watching him with a mocking gaze, as if he were watching a clown perform. The Water Elemental felt fear.

He no longer had a physical body, yet at this moment he felt cold sweat pouring down his face. He wanted to swallow, but he had no saliva left.

“Mr. Morris, I am very satisfied with the service you have provided for us, and I am also very sorry to see the end of our cooperation.” A regretful face appeared on the large screen on Zola’s body, and then he shook his head helplessly: “Originally, you might have been able to get a minor but advantageous position in our Hydra’s future blueprint, but unfortunately, you will not get it.”

"To tell you the truth, Hydra is far more powerful than you imagine. We have seen the future through the multiverse, and Hydra will prevail in the future. We will eliminate all heroes and those who are willing to help us, and divide the entire world among ourselves."

Zola sighed regretfully, "But unfortunately, there's no place for you here anymore."

"No! No! No!"

The Water Man howled in agony as a raging green flame erupted from his spirit body, burning relentlessly. The Sand Man witnessed the entire process, watching as the "indestructible" spirit that Hydra had told them burned away completely, leaving not even a trace of ash.

The water man died, leaving nothing behind.

Sandman watched all this in silence. He chose not to betray them, nor did he reveal any information about the conspiracy between Hydro-Man and Spider-Man. However, this did not prevent him from feeling a sense of relief after witnessing Hydro-Man's death.

The Sandman saw Anim Zola turn around and look at him. “Mr. Flint Marko, or should I call you Mr. William Baker?”

Zola easily revealed the Sandman's true identity, which he had been hiding, and then smiled kindly: "What I want to tell you is that Hydra never mistreats its friends, but it also never treats its enemies kindly. Unfortunately, Mr. Morris has chosen not to be our friend, so we have no choice but to treat him as an enemy."

"So here's the question: do you want to be our enemy, or our friend?"

After a long silence, the sandman cautiously asked, "What do you need me to do?"

“Go to London,” Zola replied. “If Spider-Man makes it to London alive, you’ll be responsible for killing him.”

Meanwhile, Peter, having finished his negotiations, was waiting for Fury. Fury, as always, was playing with a Rubik's Cube, while telling Peter how things would develop next.

“There are three possible scenarios. First, Hydra doesn’t care, or hasn’t discovered the problem with the Water People. In that case, we can simply bring the Water People and Sand People back, and at worst, keep them locked up. Their existence is evidence, human witnesses proving that Hydra does indeed exist.”

Even the Winter Soldier cannot prove that Hydra truly exists. This is because, organizationally, the Winter Soldier are modified assassins from the former Soviet Union, not Hydra. This reveals the true nature of Hydra—they are a group of people in disguise, whose actions and identities are always concealed, labeled "I am not Hydra."

Therefore, the existence of the Water People and Sand People truly serves as perfect human evidence.

"Chapter Two: Hydra is using them as bait. This situation couldn't be simpler. Anyway, we weren't really planning to accept the surrender. Since our side is fake, they will definitely get nothing in the end. We can then launch a counter-ambush."

Peter then understood what the third possibility was: "So the last possibility is that Hydra discovered the Waterfowl's contact with us and directly destroyed the Waterfowl, right?"

Fury was very satisfied with Spider-Man's reaction and thinking ability, and nodded: "That's right, as long as Hydra doesn't contact you, it's basically a death sentence for Hydra."

At this point, Fury sighed a little. He didn't want the Waterman to die either, because it could only mean one thing: after weighing the pros and cons, Hydra would rather expose a part of itself, cut off its tail to survive, and bury the part that wasn't exposed even deeper, than choose to preserve the entire Hydra.

This would prove something even more troublesome: Hydra is not only hiding by its own inertia, but also has a core leadership that rivals Red Skull's.

The final result proved Fury's most troublesome guess to be true: Hydro-Man did not contact Spider-Man again.

And so, the journey reached its climax, at the place where all the clues converged: Budapest.
