Chapter 390 A Day Trip to Lisbon
The best time to visit a city is when you've never been there before, but have only heard about it; the second best time is when you only come for a day.

For example, Lisbon's old town boasts the world's oldest tram, a non-electric sightseeing elevator built in the early 20th century, and historic buildings full of 19th-century style. If you're just visiting as a tourist, these historical buildings paired with the Portuguese folk song "Fado" certainly offer a unique experience.

"And for the city itself, this is a symbol of shame, with people living in dilapidated old houses and using songs to trace back to past glories." The bearded man said as he poured himself a glass of water, drank it all in one gulp, and then looked out the window.

The Wild Chapter members thought they would obediently wait in Madrid for them to be surrounded and wiped out; no one knew they had already arrived. Even less did anyone know who S.H.I.E.L.D.'s so-called reinforcements were, or what their skills were—he already knew all of that.

The man took off his green and black striped short-sleeved shirt, and a gust of sand drifted out of the window.

For the students from Midtown Middle School participating in the cultural tour, excluding the day they arrive at the airport, the entire tour group only has one day planned in Lisbon. On the third day of the trip, they will take a bus to Madrid, the capital of Spain, and then spend a total of three days in Madrid. Therefore, they only have one day to explore Lisbon.

The bad news was that Harry discovered his girlfriend hadn't brought a swimsuit to Southern Europe. Even worse, although Lisbon is a seaside city, Harry forgot something crucial: normally, beaches aren't in the city.

His day trip to Lisbon shattered his Southern European fantasies.

"Then, Peter was incredibly busy. He can actually take photos—no, his photography skills are amazing!" Harry couldn't help but marvel at Peter, who was constantly busy with his camera. When a photographer is discovered, he becomes the busiest person in the entire tour group. Sometimes Harry even wondered if Peter, after working all day, could even take a single photo with Gwen or Cindy.

Thinking of this, Harry looked to the side, but instead of finding Gwen and Cindy, he saw Jessica and Felicia sitting in the cafe. He wondered if it was just his imagination, but he felt that Jessica had been less and less active lately.

Inside the coffee shop, Felicia was talking to Jessica about this: "You've been less and less active lately."

"Hmm? Is it that obvious?" Jessica paused for a moment, then laughed nonchalantly. "Did you even notice?"

“I once met Dr. Jonathan and asked him about it. He’s developing a special drug specifically for you.”

When Felicia saw Jonathan Drew's genetically modified spider for treating ALS on Osborn Technology's system, she knew who it was intended for. It was unlikely to be Osborn, but if Norman Osborn or Harry had ALS, he wouldn't develop only one treatment; therefore, the only person with the disease could be Jessica.

Are you planning to keep this a secret from everyone?

“How can you say we’re keeping it a secret? We just don’t want to trouble others. We’ll be in a wheelchair sooner or later, and telling others now would only make them worry.” Jessica Drew shrugged. “Besides, we’re all members of the detective agency. Shouldn’t they discover the problem themselves and deduce the truth?”

Felicia could only sigh along with her. After a while, Jessica said quietly.

"Sometimes I think, if I had just died during the Battle of New York and never knew about this..."

"Shut up." Felicia frowned, interrupting Jessica. "Don't say such unlucky things. Besides, don't you still have a deduction to complete?"

"Hmm... Spider-Man? My dad told me he works with Spider-Man, but he won't tell me who Spider-Man is and told me not to bother him. I guess that makes sense, but I still want to thank him face-to-face while I can still move." "Maybe he's already heard you?"

Jessica narrowed her eyes, looked at Felicia, and suddenly laughed: "Why does it feel like you know him too?"

"Isn't there a website that records what people say to thank Spider-Man?" Felicia just shrugged. "Didn't you leave a message on it?"

"Maybe yes, maybe no, who knows?"

Harry, who was watching Peter taking pictures of his classmates, yawned, wondering what to eat later. He squinted and looked into the distance. He felt like he was hallucinating, because in Lisbon, he actually saw... a sandstorm?

I must have been out of my mind from the heat in Southern Europe. How could I possibly see a sandstorm in Lisbon?
Harry chuckled self-deprecatingly, shook his head, looked in the direction the sandstorm was coming from, and then squinted to look at it, because no matter how he looked at it, it seemed that the sandstorm was forming in the distance and getting closer and closer.

Not only that, the sandstorm seemed to have... a face.

"Peter! Peter!"

Peter, who was taking pictures of Lightning and Betty, looked at Harry in confusion, wondering why he had suddenly called out. His spider-sense hadn't even gone off. He looked in the direction Harry was pointing and saw a massive sandstorm and an incredibly blurry face.

Holy crap! Sandman!
No, isn't the scale of these sand people terrifying?

Peter opened his mouth, then immediately realized what was happening and shouted, "Everyone, find somewhere indoors and hide! Quickly! Find a place to hide, and close all the doors and windows!"

Those who heard Peter's shouts looked up and saw the overwhelming sandstorm and the huge, blurry human face. Peter Parker set an example by being the first to rush out, find a shop to hide in, and call his classmates inside. After Lightning and the others went inside, they discovered a problem.

What about Peter Parker?
"Ha, the Sandmen will appear in Madrid. Next time, Silver Sable will have to make sure you get the information more accurate."

Spider-Man, dressed in his regular suit, appeared on the roof of the convenience store. Peter checked the parameters of all the equipment and then asked his partner, "How's your rest, Venom?"

[Perfect condition, aha, I'm going to take on ten of them!]

"I'm not sure you'd be willing to fight ten of these sand people."

I don't know why, but I was extremely irritable while writing today.
