Chapter 364 The Wrathful Spider

The symbiote amplifies, and even exacerbates, the host's emotions. Furthermore, the host's personality, especially that of the first host, greatly influences the symbiote itself. This is a characteristic of the symbiote species, and no symbiote can avoid it.

Venom was initially quite at ease because he trusted his host, Peter, and because Peter never displayed any excessive emotions.

Until this time.

Unlike any enemy before, this damned Fairy King was pure evil, utterly ruthless evil. Evil that cared nothing for human life. Spider-Man was enraged, enraged like never before, and fueled by the symbiote's provocations, this rage reached unprecedented heights.

Can you imagine someone using a spider silk to pull up a telephone pole from the ground, 30 or 40 meters in the air, and then aiming it at an enemy—a brainwashed and manipulated enemy—and hitting them hard with a home run?
At least Venom hadn't thought of that before.

Not to mention Peter's response to "This isn't your fault," which was "Of course I know."

The demon, sent flying, was caught in a spider web and hung from another telephone pole like a cocoon. Another Pumpkin Jack, who had been chasing after him, was about to finish off the loser with his pumpkin bomb when Spider-Man pounced and grabbed him.

And then, and then…

Spider-Man grabbed the pumpkin bomb in the other's hand and crushed it before it could fully explode. At the same time, countless symbiotic tentacles extended from his back, crushing all the bombs on Pumpkin Jack's waist. The flames from the unexploded bombs burned his arms and burned off the symbiotic tentacles.

Then, he punched Pumpkin Jack's stupid, flaming pumpkin head, shattering it with a single blow. He then tossed Pumpkin Jack aside like a dog and covered him with a thick spiderweb.

Because of this battle, some of the more daring New Yorkers who were fleeing in all directions secretly watched the fight and saw the horrific sights that reminded them of the symbiote frenzy two months earlier.

Spider-Man's back, like the tentacles of a spider, extends a large number of symbiotic tentacles that stick directly to the walls of the buildings on both sides, fixing Spider-Man in the air above the street, just like a spider weaving a huge web with black, sticky bio-material.

Waiting for the flies to walk right into the trap.

"Hahaha, you're using a fire-averse symbiote to stop me?"

As if he'd heard an unprecedentedly funny joke, the Fairy King commanded his goblin army to charge at Spider-Man from both sides. However, all they received was a frenzied attack from the symbiote tentacles, which acted like layers of shields; they had to break through them before they could hit Spider-Man.

However, Spider-Man won't wait for them to come and fight.

As the symbiote's giant web prompted the goblins to throw bombs to break through, Spider-Man, whose suit had turned completely black, suddenly appeared from some corner. His right arm transformed into a sharp blade, piercing through the body of a Grey Goblin and slamming him to the ground. Then, three sharp spikes extended from his back, piercing through the bodies of three attacking goblins, before tossing them into a nearby restaurant.

The people who had taken refuge inside the restaurant were horrified by the scene, and some couldn't help but sob as they looked at the "corpses" scattered on the ground.

"What are you crying about! I didn't kill anyone!"

They heard Spider-Man's roar, saw the wounds on those people covered in symbiotic bio-material, and heard their low moans.

As for the tentacles still hanging behind Spider-Man, they exploded, the flames severely scorching the symbiote's tentacles, causing the symbiote to detach and fall to the ground. "Are you alright, Venom?"

It hurts a little, but it's okay. I should be the one asking this question: Are you alright?

"It couldn't be better. Ten have been solved, and there are thirteen left."

Looking at the large group of evil spirits surrounding him, the man in the black uniform became fiercer than ever before: "It won't be long before we take care of it."

One fireball after another burned in the sky above the street. Peter passed through the flames, grabbed the giant pumpkin head of a Pumpkin Jack by the symbiote's magnified claws, and then covered him with the symbiote before slamming him hard to the ground. At the same time, Peter's entire arm was quickly burned by the flames, and for a moment he was no longer protected by the symbiote.

But that didn't stop him from punching another demon on the head, tearing off the ugly goblin mask, and at the same time pulling off the other's belt and tying it to the other's flying skateboard, taking it as far away as possible.

The evil spirits came up with a brilliant idea to deal with Spider-Man. They blew up billboards on nearby rooftops and threw them at Spider-Man, laughing as they dropped bombs, turning Jonah Jameson's billboards into falling fireballs that burned away the boring giant web.

Spider-Man's response was to smash the abandoned vehicles on the guys. Of course, there was no need to worry about their lives; they had been injected with the Green Goblin serum, and as long as the pumpkin bombs on their bodies didn't explode, they wouldn't die.

Can we avoid detonating it?
Even Peter could only say he would try his best. These goblins didn't care about their own lives, or rather, the Goblin King behind them didn't care about theirs. They did more than once to have one of them charge in with a suicide bomb, or have one person hold someone back while the other planned to blow up Peter and the person holding them up together.

This behavior is impossible to stop.

He grew even angrier until the last demon fell to the ground.

"Our Spider-Man looks like he's won the final victory! Hooray! It's a victory surrounded by corpses! The good news is that it seems not many innocent civilians actually died, maybe. Oh, and he saved a few people, how lucky. Looks like I'll have to improve my formula next time and leave fewer survivors."

All that greeted his boring, lame jokes was the black face of Spider-Man in black.

"Alright, alright, this doesn't seem interesting at all, so I've prepared a little gift for you at the end. After all, with so many weaklings beating you up, you deserve a little challenge, right?"

"You've taken care of 22 goblins! Spider-Man! Now there's one left!"

The Fairy King didn't explain what the last one was, but Peter had already seen it.

The green goblin crossed the flames to come.

That was a green goblin.
