Chapter 334 Hell's Border Rebels

Chapter 334 Hell's Border Rebels

Peter was unaware that he had already dealt two blows to Velasco before even meeting him—Velasco's attempt to corrupt his soul had activated Nal's power, amplifying his ability to draw power from the borders of hell, and Velasco's attack on his soul had directly triggered a counterattack from the Web of Fate.

He's still looking for Iliana.

Limbo is a place teeming with demons and corrupted creatures, mostly mutants. For some reason, you can occasionally see demonized mutants. According to the multiverse travel bracelet Miguel gave him, these mutants come from different realities.

"In other words, Velasco may have conquered more than one universe, corrupted a large number of X-Men into his own army, and is an enemy not to be underestimated."

Using his enhanced spider-sense and optical camouflage abilities, which were transformed into the epitaph, Peter concealed himself on the border of hell, evading the demons' attacks, and then began searching for Iliana. For some reason, Iliana seemed to be getting further and further away.

But it wasn't without its gains. For example, Peter found a body that had been cut in two, as well as the corpse of a demon that had been burned by dark magic.

Magic can be categorized into three types based on its properties: white magic, which focuses on protection, repair, healing, and enhancement; and black magic, which focuses on damage and control. Of course, this is merely a classification based on usage and does not imply that magic itself is inherently evil.

In addition, there is chaos magic, also known as primordial magic, which no one can learn except through the records in the Dark Book. Wanda can control chaotic energy, but that is innate.

"Someone is using magic to eliminate demons. Interesting. Regardless of whether it's Iliana or not, they are not our enemies. In that case... wow!"

Peter's spider senses went off passively, and he dodged at top speed. Then, a firestorm swept up from the ground where he had been standing.

Peter looked up at the sky and saw a person flying low there. The person looked like someone Peter had seen not long ago: Storm Ororo, of course, the demon version, at least in appearance.

With its crimson skin and sharp fingers, it looked far removed from humanity. Peter wasn't sure if it was an enemy, but he didn't attack rashly.

However, the opponent seemed quite certain that someone was hiding there, and used an even larger firestorm to suppress it, but it missed Peter. Following the guidance of his spider-sense, Peter strolled leisurely to directly beneath Ororo and fired a web to ensnare his opponent.

Then it pulled the other person down and slammed them down.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I can't be sure which side you're on, but at least I can be sure that you know who killed these demons, right?"

Peter did not manifest, but his voice came from another direction. Before the other person could get up, another unexpected person rushed over.

That was Phantom Cat, but it wasn't the Phantom Cat Peter knew. It seemed to have been affected by the environment of Limbo itself, not only did it actually grow a cat tail and cat ears, but its limbs and face also mutated in the direction of a cat, making it look very strange.

Then, a Wolverine so thin he was practically just a skeleton burst forth, engulfed in flames reeking of sulfur, and charged towards Peter, who was in stealth mode. Peter leaped aside, simultaneously using his webs to trap the burning Wolverine and pin him to the ground.

"I'm sorry, I hope this isn't the answer to your questions." Peter revealed his form, but it seemed to be of no use; the attackers continued to assault him. So Peter had to destabilize the symbiote on his left arm, transforming it into a blade that simultaneously attacked all three of them.

Then, his spider-sense told him what was about to happen: a tall, elderly woman would charge down wielding a greatsword. Sure enough, the moment Peter dodged, a greatsword cleaved the ground he had been standing on. As he dodged, he used his bracelet to confirm whether the elderly Magica, who looked to be in his fifties or sixties, was from his universe.

After confirming that it wasn't one person, Peter asked, "If you're not Velasco's men, could you tell me where the other Iliana Rasputin is? She's from Earth 616, my universe, and she was about twelve years old when she arrived here..."

"We discovered the X-Men were missing, so we came here. I'm Spider-Man, I don't know if you've heard of me before."

Just as he was saying this, the spider senses went off again, and Peter quickly turned around and kicked a blonde girl about his age who was holding a sword in the wrist.

Peter withdrew his strength, but the greatsword in the other girl's hand still flew out. The girl whose sword was kicked away looked very indifferent: "You're too late, Spider-Man. More than three years have passed."

Ilyana Rasputin, who was originally 12 years old, had already celebrated her 15th birthday on the border of hell by killing a giant demon at her birthday party.

At that moment, someone suddenly appeared and said he had come to save her, but no one believed him.

"In reality, we may have only spent a few minutes. For most people in Xavier's School of the Arts, the passage of time is almost negligible."

Peter, having offered his explanation, did not intend for Iliana and the others to believe him from the outset. Trust is a reciprocal thing; only trust forged through actions is truly reliable.

"Okay, maybe you're not our enemy, but so what?"

The demon Wolverine looked at Peter, who appeared to be mostly burned to a skeleton, and pointed at the five people present: "By now, there aren't many left who dare to oppose Velasco. Only these people are left. How do you plan to help us deal with Velasco?"

Could six people really take down Velasco? Wolverine certainly didn't believe it.

"The X-Men from Earth 616 were imprisoned, not corrupted, for the personal purposes of the Immortals."

Peter first listed the most important thing, reinforcements, and then explained how to defeat Velasco: "Then, we rely on the Sorcerer Supreme of our world, who is always watching my movements, and he should have already sensed my disappearance."

This approach of relying on others for rescue was clearly not approved by the demon Wolverine, but there was no other way to solve the problem at the moment.

So, the devilish Wolverine asked the next question.

"How can we release those superheroes while Velasco himself is on his watch?"
