I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.
Chapter 242 Marvel
Chapter 242 Ma-Vell
Spider-Man's accusations were made without any evidence and were based entirely on his intuition.
So almost as soon as he finished speaking, Carol Danvers frowned and retorted, "Spider-Man, watch your words. Are you questioning whether a US military science director is actually an alien? You need to take responsibility for your words."
And that was indeed Peter's meaning. Professor Michael rubbed the bridge of his nose and helplessly raised his hand.
"No, Spider-Man is right. If the Guardians of the Galaxy hadn't come, I might have been able to keep it a secret, but now that they're here, I can't hide it anymore."
As Michael spoke, he raised his hand, and his skin subtly changed, turning a pale blue in the sunlight—the color of his blood. Simultaneously, the bracelet on his arm transformed, releasing a green-patterned suit of armor that covered him, with an eight-pointed star on the chest.
"My name is Mar-Vell, and I belong to the science force of the Kree Empire. I have come to Earth to carry out a special investigation mission."
After a moment of hesitation, Carroll pointed his weapon directly at Michael, or rather, Mar-Vell.
"You've always been an alien?! You've been lying to me all along?!"
“I meant no harm, Carol.”
Peter didn't care about that. Even if Kovacs hadn't come, Mar-Vell was still his main subject of investigation. He simply asked, "Okay, let's take it one step at a time. First, what mission did you come to Earth for?"
"The Kree Empire rose to power thousands of years ago. At that time, the Kree Empire was still in its infancy and faced many enemies, but it did not have enough manpower. Therefore, the Kree planned to find intelligent life and transform them into their soldiers. Earth was one of these planets."
Mar-Vell explained the background of his mission: "Kree scientists studied a portion of your ancestors' DNA, hoping to create a type of super-powered soldier that could be commanded. However, with the successful rise of the Kree Empire, this plan was abandoned. We imparted technology, knowledge, and the Kree language to these cyborgs, and made an agreement with them that if the Kree Empire were to go to war in the future, they would be obligated to join the war effort."
Peter knew who Mar-Vell was referring to: the Inhumans, one of Marvel's superhuman races. The Inhumans originated from the Kree's genetic modifications of humans. They have several distinct characteristics, the most obvious being that awakening their abilities requires a substance called the Terrigen Mist, which is highly toxic to mutants who have awakened their X-gene.
In addition, their TV series are terrible, and their leader Black Bolt gets his head blown off by a mother in WandaVision.
However, currently, the Inhumans are basically not on Earth, so even if Mar-Vell is looking for them, he simply won't be able to find them. Most of the Inhumans live in the Blue Sector of the Moon, where they have established their own empire. A small number of Inhumans remain on Earth according to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. storyline, but their numbers are few and they have gone into seclusion.
Given the current chaotic state of the universe, the plot may not unfold as originally planned, and Peter estimates there will be even fewer Inhumans left on Earth.
"Now that the Kree Empire and the Skrull Empire are at war again, we are evenly matched and neither side can gain the upper hand. So the Kree leadership came up with this plan and sent me to investigate whether these Inhumans still exist on Earth. If so, they hope that they can fulfill their obligations and join the war."
From the Kree's perspective, the Inhumans were a race they helped civilize, who taught them technology and culture, and with whom they signed treaties; their actions were therefore perfectly justifiable. Of course, from Earth's perspective, they wouldn't see it that way. However, the biggest problem is that, to this day, even S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't know of the Inhumans' existence on Earth. "So… judging from the current situation, you haven't found them?"
Carol recovered slightly, while Mar-Vell nodded. Superhumans like Spider-Man were naturally outside his investigation scope. He had tested the mutants' genetic sequences and found that the X-gene could not coexist with the Terrigen Mist, so the mutants were not Inhumans.
“Personally, I do not want Earth to be drawn into a war between two interstellar empires, so I am writing a report on this. As long as it can be confirmed that the Inhumans no longer exist, then Earth has no strategic value to either side and there is no need to get involved in the war zone.”
Mar-Vell spoke quite earnestly, but whether the locals actually believed this alien was another matter entirely. Cindy had already notified S.H.I.E.L.D., and Carol would certainly inform the US military as well. Now, however, they faced an even more troublesome matter: dealing with Kovacs.
“You reacted to the term ‘Cosmic Cube,’ Mr. Mar-Vell.” Peter looked at Mar-Vell and asked, “Do you know what that is?”
"Yes, thousands of years ago, when our technological development was about the same as yours now, the Skrulls in the universe were already an incredibly powerful cosmic empire. Their emperor created a powerful weapon called the Cosmic Cube, which they used to conquer countless planets and civilizations, including the Kree."
Mar-Vell recounted the history of the Cosmic Cube: "But the Cosmic Cube was an uncontrollable and powerful weapon. It was influenced by the tyrannical mind of the Skrull Emperor at the time, who destroyed two-thirds of the Skrull Empire, which gave us Kree the opportunity to rise."
"And then... how did you solve that Cosmic Cube?"
"Through communication, the Cosmic Cube has evolved its own rationality, becoming a weapon with self-awareness. The Supreme Intelligence, the highest ruler of the Kree Empire, communicated with it, introducing it to the Kree's morality and ideals. Finally, the Cosmic Cube perfected its rationality and autonomously left this universe."
After finishing his statement, Ma-Weil added, "I think perhaps Kovacs isn't mentally unstable, but rather hasn't developed a complete personality, which led to his madness. He comes from the 31st century; it's possible that the conqueror Kang who just appeared recreated him in the future."
But this contradicts what Kang said. Peter frowned and thought about it, while Star-Lord quickly understood what everyone was going to do: "So, what we need to do is calm that madman down, find him a kindergarten teacher, and let him go home on his own."
Peter added one last thing.
"And to prevent the conqueror Kang from provoking him."
In the chapters that could be changed, the Cosmic Cube and the Cosmic Cube have been corrected. The Cosmic Cube is the shell of the Space Stone, and the Cosmic Cube is the Cosmic Cube.
And pp made a mistake, thinking they were the same thing.
