Chapter 241 The Arrival of Kang
Just as Peter and the others were considering how to deal with the seemingly threatening Kovac, Peter received a call from Gwen. After hanging up, he looked at the Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor with a strange expression and said something that they found unbelievable: "Um, a friend of mine found Kovac. Actually, he's looking for us. To be precise, he's seeking the Avengers' help."

He certainly didn't believe the pistol could eliminate Kovac, but it could emit a static field that froze the time of objects. Perhaps taking Kovac away would cause errors in the timeline, but it didn't matter now. He was Kang the Conqueror, the conqueror of time; rewriting history was just routine for him.

"Kang is here!!!"

Kovacs let out a sharp roar, and the intense energy tore through the stagnant spacetime in an instant. After a moment of astonishment, Peter and the others were surprised to find that a man wearing purple armor had suddenly appeared in the crowd, a man who had never appeared before.

Star-Lord was the first to react. After putting on his mask, he questioned Kang sharply. Kang remained silent because he was also deeply shocked—this man named Kovacs did not have any time travel device on him, yet he was able to break through the time he had stopped, which was really strange.

“My name is Kang the Conqueror, a time traveler from the 31st century, and the ruler of Earth at that time. I have no intention of interfering with your past, but I must take this person with me.”

As Star-Lord spoke, he raised his gun and pointed it at Kang. Kang paused for a moment before explaining, "Because in the future, in 2015, a crisis tore apart the time structure of the entire multiverse, and the entire multiverse is heading towards destruction. And without a doubt, this man is the culprit." Multiverse destruction? Kovak did it?

In an instant, almost everyone fell into thought. Some were considering the feasibility of Kang's words, while others were wondering how this had happened. But in any case, Kang's actions did not stop; he directly attempted to launch an attack.

In contrast, Kovac panicked when he realized that most people were starting to think, because in that instant, he felt abandoned by everyone.

"I won't let you catch me again! Kang! Never again!"

"Wait! Kovac!"

Peter couldn't persuade the unyielding Kovac. A dazzling, almost destructive light erupted from him. Almost instinctively, Peter shielded Gwen, who had no self-defense capabilities, behind him. And almost at that critical moment, Thor slammed his hammer into Kovac, sending him flying.

"Leave this to me, Spider-Man. You are no match for him."

Thor spoke with a serious expression, then raised his hammer and flew up. The warlock Adam followed with a solemn expression. The two were about to face a living cosmic cube.

Peter, however, discovered a new anomaly.

"Wait... where is Kang the Conqueror?"

Yes, the moment Kovacs erupted, Kang disappeared and ran away.

"That guy's name is Conqueror Kang, you might as well call him Runaway Kang." Rocket sighed helplessly, then looked at his own spaceship: "Alright, let's go. Quill, this planet is finished. You don't really think that human bomb can be stopped now, do you?"

Star-Lord silently gazed at the sky; after all, this was his homeland.

In the silence of the crowd, Peter looked at Professor Michael, who had remained silent ever since hearing the term "Cosmic Cube." Peter began to have even greater doubts about the professor's true identity.

"Professor Michael, are you hiding something from us?"

“What?” Michael looked at Peter, not understanding why Spider-Man was saying that. “I don’t understand what you’re talking about, Spider-Man.”

“I could sense danger when I passed by you, Professor Michael. You’re no ordinary person. And when the Kree Empire was mentioned, you showed obvious emotional fluctuations.” Peter finished speaking and looked at the Guardians of the Galaxy: “Moreover, there’s a group of extraterrestrials here. I believe these friends might be able to tell me who you really are.”
