Chapter 208 Battle Against the Hybrids
Chapter 208 Battle Against the Hybrids (Part 2)
Venom knew perfectly well that he was no match for the hybrids. In fact, he was no match for any of the four symbiotes that made up the hybrids.
Venom is the most ordinary and unremarkable symbiote in Klintauri. Unlike the members of his home space special forces who possess special abilities and can choose benevolent hosts, he is not like a few criminals.
He was just an ordinary symbiote, something you could just grab off the street.
Venom knew perfectly well where its current power to contend with hybrids came from: its host, the young man named Peter Parker. Unlike Venom, whose opponent, whether strong or weak, would make the same choice.
Venom is a coward, an ordinary symbiote. Even when faced with the abduction of a bad symbiote, he doesn't dare to fight back and can only obediently let himself be taken away.
But fortunately, this is how he was able to meet his host.
"Come on, you ugly bastard!" Venom clasped his fists together, using them as hammers to smash them hard into the face of the bastard in front of him. Then he continued to smash the bastard's face, one blow after another. He didn't have much time to hesitate; he had to keep attacking and weakening his opponent to create opportunities for Peter.
Give me some time.
That's what Peter Parker said.
Venom trusts its host.
So Venom, unleashing its full power, relentlessly pounded the hybrid, not caring much about the damage itself, but focusing on preventing the hybrid from retaliating. The problem was, the hybrid wasn't so easily dealt with; after only a few punches, it gripped Venom's fist.
The hybrid's enhanced power surpassed that of the Venom-enhanced Spider-Man. The hybrid slammed his head into Venom, knocking him down and then kicking him. His right hand transformed into a blade, which he thrust at Venom. Venom roared and gripped the blade with both hands, but a corrosive venom began to flow from it, relentlessly corroding his hands. In agony, Venom kicked the hybrid away, then watched his hands slowly regenerate.
The hybrid's massive tentacles supported him as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked at Venom: "You know, in every respect, you are no match for me. Whether it's you or your host, there's only one outcome in the end."
"You brought me here to collect the Codex for Nar," Venom hissed. "Right? A Codex given to Nar can awaken its consciousness, right?"
"Haha, you're a genius!"
Whether it was mockery or not, the Hybrid said this while extending his two arms, which transformed into two enormous blades, and charged towards Venom. Venom narrowly dodged them, then picked up a huge precast concrete slab and hurled it at the Hybrid, who shattered it instantly.
Riot's resistance and tactics, devouring hard skin and strength, extreme agility and acid, lashing flexible control, plus Grant Ward's talent as one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best agents.
The hybrid is now confident that he can completely kill Venom and Spider-Man in front of him.
He's still bloated.
Whether it was Venom, Peter, or both of them who had this thought, the hybrid's body swelled even more as the impact on him increased. This indicated that while the hybrid appeared incredibly powerful, his internal structure was actually unstable.
That's why Peter thought of trying that method, but it was like gambling, and Peter Parker wasn't sure he could win.
But then again, when will Peter Parker be absolutely certain of victory before he takes action?
The hybrid's four tentacles transformed into sharp blades, like cleavers, relentlessly attacking Venom. Venom hastily dodged, simultaneously grabbing one tentacle and biting it hard. His body was pierced, and he was flung away by the hybrid with a agonizing howl. Venom stood up, clutching his abdomen; the blades were coated with potent acid. But that was enough, for he saw the hybrid's body continuing to expand.
Venom reached out towards the hybrid, and then the headless Iron Spider armor flew up, unleashing a barrage of attacks. Most of the attacks couldn't penetrate its tough skin, but Venom had just bitten one of its tentacles, right? The Iron Spider armor was practically targeting that wound, relentlessly attacking. The hybrid, growing impatient, grabbed the Iron Spider armor with one of its tentacles, prompting it to immediately self-destruct. The explosion of its arc reactor blew off one of its tentacles.
"You idiot, you know you're no match for me, what are you resisting for?"
The hybrid's tentacles regenerated rapidly, and its height had already increased to six meters. Venom, clutching its wound, simply looked at the hybrid and grinned.
Do you hate it here?
"what?"
"Human rock and roll, car horns, flames, and all sorts of annoying lights—do you hate this place?" Venom laughed, launching a final charge at the hybrid: "Did your host ask you if you hate this place?"
Are you afraid? Are you afraid of being alone?
"Or he asked you, 'Do you miss home? Are you lonely?'"
This is a question Peter Parker asked him.
Venom roared and charged. The hybrid, unable to comprehend Venom's behavior, controlled its four tentacles to try and stop it. However, the massive black body gradually shrank, becoming agile, slender, and elegant, transforming into a lean, black-clad Spider-Man. Despite the oversized hybrid's attack, he was incredibly sharp and agile. He stepped onto the hybrid's tentacles, and before the acid could reach his feet, his webs had already stuck to the hybrid's head. He had already leaped onto the hybrid's head.
His hands pressed down on the mixed-race man's head.
"You know what? After I discovered that your body wasn't stable and could grow larger, I came up with a plan. You know I've been to other universes?"
"caught you!"
The hybrid reached for its head with both hands, but the venom detached from Peter's body, leaving only a portion connected to Peter. It transformed into a giant mouth, biting down on the hybrid's hands and clamping them tightly.
Peter told the bastard another little secret.
"In another universe, I once wielded a hammer, a hammer that could summon lightning."
The mixed-race man's eyes were wide open.
"So, perhaps the lightning I unleash still retains the characteristics of that hammer. You're very familiar with that thing, aren't you?"
The next moment, a massive bolt of lightning shot into the sky, illuminating the Manhattan night sky.
Here's an explanation: Riot didn't kill Ward because he was deeply influenced by Ward, and the two resonated with each other and were highly compatible. He wanted to preserve his host. Furthermore, he believed he could defeat Venom and Spider-Man.
