Chapter 159 Reunion with Lady Spider
Under the Avengers' supervision, Deadpool, now disarmed, left happily, seemingly without any displeasure. Peter watched Deadpool with some curiosity, then removed the Iron Spider armor and handed it to Tony Stark. This time, a whole suit of Iron Man armor was being used for data collection; the amount of data obtained would likely be enough to keep these geniuses working overtime all night.

How long have I been away this time?

"It's been about five hours, what's wrong?"

"No, it's nothing."

Peter spent about half a month in another universe, but only five hours passed in Universe 616. This seemed to indicate a difference in the flow of time between different universes, but something didn't quite add up. After thinking about it, he felt extremely tired. So, after transforming Venom into his suit, he bid farewell to the Avengers scientists and Reed present: "I'm a little tired, so I'll... go home first?"

“Oh, Peter.” Reed, who was receiving data, seemed to realize that Peter was about to leave: “Johnny said that if you have time sometime, you can come to Baxter Building. He wants to say thank you.”

"I remember."

After watching Peter leave, Tony refocused his attention on the data: "Let me see... Hmm... Peter said the Avengers and other heroes in that universe were all killed. How did they do that...? Zemo infiltrated the Thunder Force?"

Wasn't Zemo dead?
Looks like I need to send a report to the captain and Nick Fury.

On the other side, Peter's spider senses went off as he was leaving. He looked towards the rooftop and saw Julia Carpenter, the Spider Lady, standing there waiting for him. Peter quickly swung his web over. He knew that the riddle-teller must have something to tell him again, and perfect timing, since he also had many questions for her.

"I am glad that the turbulence of the web of fate has subsided."

Lady Spider immediately launched into a riddle, completely disregarding Peter's current state of exhaustion: "Any tremors caused by the web of fate should be avoided until the necessary day arrives."

"Um... what necessary day?"

Peter had had enough of the riddles, so he asked directly what he wanted to know: "What are the Spider Gods? Did they gather together to fight against Shasla?"

Lady Spider was taken aback, momentarily at a loss for words, before finally asking, "Is there anything you don't know?"

“I don’t know anything I don’t know!” Peter exclaimed speechlessly. “Like that Day of Necessity you mentioned, that’s something I know absolutely nothing about!”

"The necessary day is January 15, 2024. On that day, the web of fate is destined to collapse, but whether it will be rebirth or eternal silence depends on the efforts of the spider totem."

Peter remained silent for a long time, completely bewildered by this sudden and incredibly precise information. He scratched his head and asked, "Is it January 15, 2024 in our universe?"

"Of course it belongs to this universe."

“So even if we take away the three months left this year, there are still 24 years left, and we still have ten years before we face the collapse of the Web of Fate—” Peter, who was exhausted by Anansi, breathed a sigh of relief at this moment: “We still have a lot of time to solve this problem, ten years.”

"I suggest you prepare early. You can't rely on any of the Avengers for the end of the Web of Fate. They can't connect to the Web of Fate. The only ones you can rely on are the other Spider Totems—even those ambitious Web Legions." Lady Spider explained the truth about the Web Gods: "When a Spider Totem's perception can transcend a universe, they will see Shasla. Every Spider Totem knows that it is an invincible enemy."

"So they chose to recruit more people, creating more super Spider-Men they call the Web Gods, to increase their chances of defeating Sasla." Peter scratched his head. "Okay, I got it. I'm going home to rest now. Is there anything else?"

"I'm here to answer some of your questions, that's all."

Basically, he didn't resolve any of my confusion. He just told me that Shasla would be out of danger in ten years. Peter waved and swung off toward Queens.

Earth 51821, Spider Legion Headquarters.

Anansi, already incredibly dark-skinned and now charred and emitting black smoke, returned to the Pantheon at the Legion headquarters. In return, one of Karl King's spiders died—this thing was a one-time use item.

“Every time you teleport, our ‘Lamp Beast’ is almost on the verge of collapse.”

The Black Emperor (i.e., the Symbiote God) Spider-Man walked over, looked at the giant spider inside the cocoon, and shook his head: "Next time, we'll have to find a universe with Kal-King and capture a new one. How about multiverse-level lightning power?"

"It's alright, I almost died, but thankfully I didn't." Anansi smiled. "I'm not like Thor from that universe. I am the God of Stories. As long as the stories don't disappear and people remember the name Anansi, even if no one believes in me, I can live forever."

The prerequisite is to avoid encountering Sorens or Shasla.

"And it's fortunate you didn't go, otherwise he could have severed the connection between you and all the symbiotes under your command, and you would have been banished from your own universe."

After Anansi finished speaking, the black-clad Spider-Man remained silent for a long while before finally uttering a dry, "That might be better."

Anansi fell silent. As the most mentally sound among the Web Gods, unaffected by any symbiote, Dark Phoenix, or spider virus, he needed to consider his next move. In short, the Web Gods couldn't arbitrarily traverse the multiverse; that would weaken the Web of Fate's resilience. However, given the kid's personality, he doubted he'd bring that hammer into his own universe.

So, Peter Parker in other universes will have the same strength as he does today, or perhaps even stronger.

"What about the clan leader's safety?"

"The physical barrier of Universe 616 is currently insurmountable for the outside world. It would be easy for them to leave, so there's no need to worry about them being invaded by other multiverses."

After Anansi finished speaking, he thought about it carefully again and finally determined what the Legion should do next.

"Let's find someone to capture a few more Karl Kings. Also, we need to speed things up. The 'patriarch' will definitely choose to form his own Spider Legion, or something else. At that time, the two teams with different ideologies will definitely fight each other."

"We need to hurry up and expand our army; we need to compete with others for manpower."

The final chapter felt a bit uninspired.
