Chapter 133 A Spirit That Pierces Through the Sky!
Chapter 133 A Spirit That Pierces Through the Sky!
Luke Cage was certain that there wasn't a single good person in this entire police station. The reason was simple: since he was arrested yesterday, it had been almost noon the next day, and he hadn't eaten anything or even drunk a drop of water. He didn't know if it was because he was Black, or if they were deliberately trying to starve him.
This state was extremely agonizing, and Cage didn't know how long he could endure it. He sat on the bed, bored, reminiscing about everything from his transformation from Carl Lucas to Luke Cage.
He recalled everything and realized that his happiest moments were when he helped others, and his most relieved moments were when he stepped forward to ask to attract Hydra's attention. Perhaps it wasn't because he genuinely wanted to help others, but because the former was unrelated to his own experiences, allowing him to focus wholeheartedly; the latter was the moment he could save and change his own destiny, and he had finally made up his mind.
And another moment that would determine his fate had arrived.
As the walls of the detention cell groaned, an entire concrete wall was violently torn off, revealing a man who looked a size larger than Luke Cage: "Luke Cage? The boss sent me to rescue you."
"Who the hell is your boss?"
Seeing Cage's actions, the mercenary wasn't surprised at all. Instead, he raised his hand, ready to release the nerve gas. Luke held his breath, intending to throw a punch.
It was at this time that a series of changes occurred.
"Hey!" Like a shout from a Hong Kong martial arts movie, a person dressed in a green coat descended from the sky, swinging his right fist, which radiated golden energy, and smashed it hard into the burly man's head. Then he shouted, "I am the guardian of New York! The immortal iron fist from the East! I have been waiting for you for a long time, prison breaker!"
A question mark appeared on Luke Cage's bald head.
No, who is this guy? He's wearing a green turtleneck that looks like a cape, but there's no zipper or buttons, revealing his naked body underneath, showing off his eight-pack abs and dragon tattoo. His white skin has absolutely nothing to do with anything Eastern. He's wearing white linen trousers and cloth shoes. The most ridiculous thing is his hood; it looks like a yellow scarf wrapped around the upper half of his face with two eye holes poked out.
Where did Attorney Ma find such an... Immortal Fist?
The super soldiers who rushed over didn't expect this turn of events. Hydra's plan was to face Daredevil, who was just an ordinary person, so a super soldier could handle him.
What is this... Immortal Fist?
But Iron Fist didn't give his opponent time to hesitate. He simply focused his energy in his dantian, concentrating it on his fists. Golden energy surged out, as if a golden Eastern dragon was circling around him. He roared.
"Qi penetrates the rainbow!"
Then, in just a few seconds, dozens of punches carrying immense golden energy slammed into the giant. Each punch seemed to strike a war drum, the sound of the punches booming like muffled thunder. Until the last punch, the iron fist slowed down its punching speed and threw a heavy punch.
The silent thunder suddenly exploded, and golden energy burst forth, flashing with dazzling light between the iron fists. The burly man was sent flying backward, flying dozens of meters before crashing into the wall of another building.
Luke Cage glanced at Iron Fist's fist.
"You...are you serious about dressing like that?" "...Matt's uniform isn't much better."
Iron Fist could only manage to utter this sentence after a long time. He was really not good with words, but it didn't matter. As long as he shouted "Qi Guan Chang Hong" (meaning "a powerful force"), it would be enough to solve everything.
Ophelia, watching the entire event live from the underground base, sighed. Fortunately, they had prepared a contingency plan in case Daredevil's prison break failed. With her order, all the Viper Security personnel were mobilized. They would label everyone who assisted Luke Cage as accomplices and eliminate them all at once.
A large group of people in riot gear stormed into the prison break scene. Both Luke Cage and Iron Fist were ready for battle. Just as the Viper Security personnel had set up their formation, a discordant sound came from their rear. A burly man in a black leather jacket opened fire on them with two automatic rifles. Thanks to the high-grade armor worn by the group, the fatality rate was low. After running out of bullets, he tossed the guns aside and pulled out his own pistol.
After the rifle fire subsided, Daredevil leaped from the rooftop, wielding a short baton and quickly taking down a Viper Security Company employee. The Punisher and Daredevil joined the fray, blocking off the rear, effectively surrounding the group of four.
This is a trap, Ophelia realized almost instantly, but so what? What can four street heroes do without the Avengers?
However, that's not all; in fact, it wasn't four people who came, but five.
The Viper Security Company helicopter had just taken off when it was pulled down. Jessica Jones, while still in mid-air, beat up the helicopter pilot, strangled him unconscious, then brought the helicopter to a stop and walked over to Daredevil.
"She can fly?"
Iron Fist said in utter shock, "I thought... I thought none of us could fly?"
"I'm more curious about why she knows how to fly a helicopter."
As Luke Cage spoke, he charged into the crowd, and the five street heroes engaged in a chaotic battle with Viper Security. Amidst the chaos, Ophelia frowned, sensing a trap. Could Daredevil and his companions alone destroy Viper Security? And even if they did, how would they deal with the American forces further behind?
unless……
The alarm at the Hydra base suddenly went off. Ophelia looked up at one of the screens and saw that Spider-Man and an unfamiliar woman in black armor had infiltrated the base without her noticing. Only then did Ophelia realize what had happened.
"What did Pierce do! What did Zemo do! And Strucker! Spider-Man appeared out of nowhere, and nobody noticed! Are all the other Hydra members incompetent?!"
Enraged, Viper took a deep breath, picked up the walkie-talkie, and gave the order: "Pass the word down, deploy the super soldiers, and take care of Spider-Man."
The last chapter today will be a little later, probably after 10 PM.
