Being a knight is not easy

Chapter 352 Black Robe

Chapter 352 Black Robe
As Robin's carriage passed Silva, neither of them was aware of the other's presence.

Robin's carriage traveled smoothly along the road, and inside, Robin closed his eyes to rest, contemplating his upcoming journey to Middle-earth.

Silva and his men rode their horses quickly toward Wilkeburg, cautiously observing their surroundings, completely unaware of the passing carriages.

Alina asked with some displeasure, "Robin, why did you let those people from Middle-earth go?" She sat in the carriage, her arms crossed, her eyes filled with doubt and displeasure.

In her view, those people from Middle-earth might pose a danger, so why didn't Robin take the opportunity to eliminate them?

Robin chuckled and said, "They still have some use!"

In this complex world, everyone can become a pawn in the process of achieving one's own goals.

Although the identities of those from Middle-earth are questionable, they may be hiding a great deal of useful information or resources. Perhaps at some point in the future, they could provide unexpected assistance to one's plans.

Alina listened to Robin's words, still somewhat confused, but she knew Robin always had his reasons. She sighed softly and said, "I hope your judgment is correct, Robin. I'm just worried they'll cause us trouble."

Robin gently patted Alina's hand, reassuring her, "Don't worry, Alina. I've had Bacontean keep a close eye on their movements. If they have any ill intentions, I won't hold back."

Robin's voice was calm and confident. His gaze was fixed on the distance through the carriage window, as if he could already see that the actions of those visitors from the Central Plains were under his control.

Baconton was Robin's biggest backup plan in Wilke territory; after all, he was a second-tier Order Knight.

Baconten plays a crucial role in Robin's plans. He is not only incredibly strong but also fiercely loyal to Robin.

He was like a guardian hidden in the shadows, silently protecting Robin's interests in Wilke territory, ready to deal with any possible threats at any time.

Robin followed the same route into Middle-earth, and their journey was much smoother than before.

The carriage traveled briskly along the road without encountering any major obstacles.

The scenery on both sides of the road rushed past, as if making way for their journey.

This is all because a ghost general was bribing the way along the way. The ghost general now seems to have extensive connections and influence in this land.

His arrangements saved Robin and his companions from many troubles on their journey.

Alina leaned back in the carriage seat, her mood gradually relaxing. She looked at Robin, a hint of admiration in her eyes: "Robin, you always manage to arrange everything so perfectly. But why is this Ghost General so dedicated to helping us?"

Clearly, Alina, who has only recently joined this new family, doesn't know many things.

Robin smiled slightly: "Elina, there is no such thing as help without a reason in this world. The Ghost General has his own purpose in doing this. But I can tell you that the Ghost General is someone I placed in the Middle-earth."

Alina's eyes widened in disbelief. She never imagined that the mysterious demon general was someone Robin had planted in Middle-earth.

How much planning and scheming must have gone into this? Her admiration for Robin grew even stronger.

At the same time, she also realized that Robin's plan was far more complicated than she had imagined.

"Robin, we're almost at our first destination," Wind Chime suddenly reminded them. Her voice broke Alina's thoughts and brought everyone's attention back to the upcoming journey.

Robin glanced out the window and nodded with a smile. A bustling scene came into view. A vibrant town appeared before him, teeming with people.

The buildings are arranged in a pleasing and orderly fashion, including tall taverns, shops filled with goods, and some mysterious-looking magic shops.

“Perfect timing, I can stretch my legs a bit. Fengling, you explain the rules to Alina.” Robin said as he straightened his clothes, preparing to get off the bus.

Wind Chime nodded. "Our mission is very simple: we cannot kill superhumans. The lives of superhumans must be taken by Robin himself."

Alina looked at the wind chimes with a puzzled expression. She didn't understand why such a strange rule had been set.

In her view, battles are unpredictable, and sometimes, in order to protect oneself or one's teammates, it is inevitable to kill the enemy, especially when facing powerful superhumans. How can one guarantee not to kill them and have Robin deal with them personally?
Fengling didn't explain. "Robin will explain it to you tonight." After saying that, she jumped off the carriage first, stretched, and took in the atmosphere of this new place.

Robin got out of the car and took a deep breath. The air here seemed to be filled with an unusual atmosphere.

His eyes shone with excitement and anticipation. This was the first stop on his journey to obtain the Power Fruit, and he could sense that this town must hold many things he needed.

Although Alina was full of doubts, she could only get off the bus.

Looking at Robin and Wind Chime, she secretly made up her mind that no matter what, she would abide by the rules set by Robin and do her best to help him complete his plan.

Soon a boy in black robes ran over and handed a token to Robin.

The boy was panting heavily, clearly having run all the way here.

His black robe fluttered in the wind, and his face showed a hint of tension and awe.

Robin glanced at it and immediately knew that the token was made by the Ghost General, and that his life force still remained on it.

The token emitted a faint but unique aura that only Robin, who was familiar with the Demon General, could detect.

He fiddled with the token, feeling satisfied with the ghost general's arrangements.

"Where is your master?" Robin asked. There was a hint of doubt in his eyes. Based on his understanding of the Ghost General, the Ghost General should have come in person or sent a more capable subordinate.

The boy shook his head: "They don't dare to come."

The boy's voice was somewhat low; he knew this answer might displease Robin, but it was the truth.

After all, the enemy they were about to face was a force to be reckoned with, and even the Ghost General's subordinates couldn't help but feel fear.

Robin scoffed. "Is the intelligence confirmed?" He frowned, somewhat disdainful of this last-minute retreat.

In his view, since one has participated in this project, one should have enough courage to face the risks.

“Confirmed!” The young man nodded firmly: “A legendary knight, five great knights, forty knights, and nearly a hundred ordinary people are all the targets of Baron Carbon’s banquet tonight.”

The boy's eyes held an unwavering determination. He knew the importance of this intelligence and that obtaining it had been a difficult process.
