Chapter 484 Adaptation and Growth

Chapter 484 Adaptation and Growth

Ruger stretched his shoulders as he looked up at the old demon above.

The two-headed demon, who had previously been behaving like a well-behaved child, now stood respectfully beside Mahama. It was this fellow who respectfully handed over the tokens and blood crystals that had been used to wager. The surrounding demons had unconsciously moved away from the old demon, looking at it with even more awe and curiosity. This made the place where Mahama stood less crowded. The two-headed demon, on the other hand, was even more curious as it secretly watched the old demon. The old demon, in turn, seemed to be quite fond of this strange demon with many thoughts on his mind.

The old devil's requirement for him seemed to be three victories?
Ruger tilted his head, seemingly lost in thought.

Boom!

A demon with flaming hooves and a pig-like head leaped down from the top, swishing its tail.

Ruger noticed that this guy wasn't resting at the edge of the pit, but in a hole outside the pit. He then leaped out of that hole, flying over the heads of the demons and landing at the bottom of the pit like a boulder.

It was this impact that caused flickering flames to ignite on its two thick hooves.

This is a large creature that is slightly taller than Mahama.

When Ruger noticed the other person's ferocious smile, he also noticed that the bone token the other person threw seemed very different from his own.

A deafening cheer erupted from the edge of the enormous pit, as strange demons screamed and made all sorts of indescribable noises.

The old demon threw down two plaques and a large amount of blood crystals from the pit.

Ruger looked up and glanced sideways. Some of the large amount of blood crystals had been taken from the pouch on the mount's neck. They had obtained them from the strange bird, and at the moment of choosing to submit, they naturally belonged to the old demon.

As the old demon threw down the item, he glanced at the two-headed demon beside him.

Ruger raised an eyebrow.

This strange old fellow is probably betting on his own death.

Mahama gave her a worried look, but quickly concealed it.

Ruger responded with a faint smile.

The smile, though slightly sinister on his demonic face, even made the two-headed demon beside Mahama tremble slightly, misunderstood.

"strength."

The powerful demon shook the broken, half-broken horn on the pig's head.

As the rough words fell, it pushed off the ground with its hoof, and flames erupted again, as did its fist, as it pounced forward.

Ruger also raised his fist to meet him.

Bang!Bang!
The two fists collided, stopping the pig-headed demon's massive body, while Luger was sent flying back several steps by the heavy blow.

The power amplification from the Fallen Magic of Stinginess is actually quite strong, and Ruger has already unwound the Hourglass of Impermanence, which is equivalent to his current full state as a Dragonborn kobold, but it is still a little bit lacking.

He estimated that if he had chosen a Strength Warrior instead of a Life Warrior to form the Ascension Ritual, then on this purely strength level, they would probably be relatively evenly matched.

Of course, he could secretly cast a Bull Power on himself, but that would be futile. Just like when Baant solved the spell problem, with the curse of stinginess attached to him, the Bull Power he could enjoy was negligible, as they had almost the same spell effects.

As for Baront, he only solved the problem of weakening when casting spells simultaneously between the two zero-ring spells, Bull Might and Mighty Strength.

Bang!Bang bang!

The pig-headed demon laughed loudly and let out a strange cry as it pressed closer and closer.

Although Luger could withstand every punch it threw, he was gradually retreating towards the edge of the pit.

The pig-headed demon unleashed even more flames from its fists, scorching Ruger's fists.

The demons surrounding the crater cried out in alarm and screams, seemingly astonished that Ruger's small frame could barely hold its own against the giant pig-headed creature.

Ruger seemed oblivious to all of this. The pig's screams and the gasps of the onlookers were of no importance to him; none of them were as interesting as his own feelings. With each punch, the burning sensation of the flames gave him a strange sense of comfort, as if he were stretching his body and moving his limbs.

Is the demon of miserliness growing stronger? Ruger thinks it should be phrased differently.

It should be said that we are adapting.

He adapted to himself, to the specific environment, to the food, and to this great abyss that the old demon spoke of.

This spell was originally adapted, born within his mental space because of him, so it was naturally a highly compatible spell. At the beginning of the fusion preparation, its core Demon Body spell had already amplified its adaptability to the limit of his ability, and it was able to do so by relying on the high compatibility between the Demon Body and him.

The demon of stinginess is still growing.

After a series of startling thumping sounds, Luger gradually adapted, or rather, began to feel the comfort.

“It’s still a little worse.”

Ruger muttered to himself.

In terms of strength, it is still inferior to this big guy.

Meanwhile, his hands were already torn and bleeding, and he was only able to hold on thanks to the regenerative abilities of the dragonborn kobolds, which they had inherited from the alien dragons, and the remaining life force of the Life Warriors.

Luger had been beaten to the edge of the pit.

He stretched his body, making a series of cracking sounds. His fists were no longer just covered in messy wounds; as before, malice was attached to them, and Lesser Sharpness spells were intertwined.

He didn't want to use the second form of his foul-smelling skin here; one punch would suffice.

This is the biggest difference between wizards and demons.

Wizards are classified in a relatively detailed way, but it's really just based on the accumulation of spiritual power, the level of knowledge they possess, and the level of magic they wield. It's a distinction of inner qualities, a difference in life level. Judging strength based on these distinctions has always been secondary; in certain situations, a wizard's ring level doesn't necessarily represent absolute dominance.

This point is amplified even more when it comes to demons.

Therefore, old wizards don't care much about the classification of demons, because their methods are too simplistic, and once they reach a certain level of growth, they become powerless against wizards.

Aside from some top lords and some overly peculiar demons, normal creatures rarely attract the attention of those old wizards.

Luger landed a punch, and the pig-headed demon immediately lost his strength in pain.

If he were to lose to a demon of the same level, it would bring shame upon all wizards.

Another powerful punch landed.

The surrounding demons cried out in alarm, and the scene immediately began to turn around amidst their bewildered cries.

Instead of dealing with his opponents as decisively as he had with his previous ones, Ruger threw punch after punch, forcing the towering demon to retreat repeatedly. Just like the moment before, he knew that sometimes it was necessary to change his style; always dealing with things so cleanly and decisively was not a good thing.

Punch after punch, the fists wrapped in Lesser Sharpness Technique were like knives and axes.

The demon's hard hands gradually disappeared, and the blood that flowed out was dried by its own flames, until a fist struck the center of its chest, and a fresh, beating heart was held in those hands, and only then did everything come to an end.

Ruger got the plaque; it was a blood-red bone.

Rough and simple, yet exuding a powerful aura, it suggests that the bone once belonged to a powerful demon, or was stained with the blood of a demon.

The old demon smiled as he looked at the blood crystal that had returned to his hand, and the new identity card that Luger had tossed to him. He seemed to be lost in his own imagination, fantasizing about how to use these things.

Another demon is about to jump down.

But Luger only glanced at it before strolling up the sloping ramp, and the impatient demons only dared to shout curses from afar.
