Chapter 449 Shattering and Distortion

The silver carriage sped across the sky, heading towards the largest island in the distance, following the direction in which the two combs disappeared.

As everyone gradually discovered the difference, just as Valin had said at the beginning, this was a strange fairy kingdom unlike any other. Even people like Luger and Mahama, who knew very little about fairies, could sense the oddities.

First of all, while the fairy kingdoms are all different and varied, they all share a similar atmosphere, which is common knowledge.

This vast fairy kingdom was lifeless and filled with a faint power of faith.

Ruger suddenly withdrew his gaze from below and turned to look at the horizon.

"Did you notice that?"

Zorn took small sips of his drink.

Luger stared intently at the horizon. His ability to detect the anomaly so quickly was related to his previous experience. The feeling of the space cracking and constantly repairing itself was still vivid in his mind.

"This seems to be a fairy kingdom in the process of falling apart?" Ruger said hesitantly.

“You could say that I noticed it while the carriage was moving,” Zorn said, placing the wine bottle on his lap and looking out the round window. “Normally, a carriage wouldn’t move so smoothly or so fast. This means that cracks have appeared in the Fairy Kingdom. So you could say that it is a kingdom that is breaking down and on the verge of destruction.”

The young people listened intently to what Zorn had to say.

Luger only sensed the rupture of the fairy kingdom, but dared not assert its destruction. Zorn's words were the final conclusion.

With the knowledge of a seasoned third-ring wizard, and with some understanding of spatial powers, this statement can be considered a pronouncement of the fate of this kingdom.

As the goal draws near.

Amidst all the anomalies, Ruger also sensed the presence of a nightmare world.

"Lord Zorn, this fairy kingdom must have only recently begun its path to destruction, right?" Ruger suddenly asked.

Zorn smiled. "You could say that."

Luger tilted his head and gazed out the window.

Mahama and Valin stared blankly at the two, or rather, at the conversation between the two wizards.

All these chaotic things in the fairy kingdom can only remind one of one thing.

That was the dramatic change that covered three sea areas.

Only the aftershocks of the sorcerer god could encompass these miscellaneous powers, making it not difficult for a fairy kingdom to be destroyed.

The question of why this kingdom met such a fate is the question of the master of this fairy kingdom.

That fairy king.

Such a vast kingdom could also be ruled by a great demon king.

"The state of a kingdom also affects its ruler. Even gentle fairies can reveal their foul fangs," Zorn said. Ruger flipped through the spellbook on fireball again, hoping to learn the spell more quickly.

As he looked through the pages again, he suddenly noticed Zorn's smile. Combining this with the content of their casual conversation along the way, a thought struck him.

The group began to walk along the path beneath their feet through the strange forest.

With the smiling wizard Zorn present, these inexperienced young people felt quite at ease.

Ruger even practiced the casting gestures and incantations for the fireball spell while walking.

Meanwhile, the wonders of the fairy kingdom were also attracting his attention.

For example, in this absurd forest, all sorts of things that shouldn't be together grow haphazardly, and in such a forest there is even a road covered with a bright red carpet.

It was like a dreamlike paradise, but there were no playful little fairies to be seen.

He turned his head and glanced at the wizard Zorn, who also slowed down.

"It hurts so much, can you help me?"

A timid voice rang out, and a tiny fairy, no bigger than a palm, was sitting on top of a mushroom, clutching her leg.

“Eat it, and you can come with me, leave this world with me.” Zorn said, slowly approaching and offering his finger.

Ruger sensed the aura of a demon on the piece of flesh. It was a piece of demon flesh and blood, with some other things on it, probably a potion concocted by Zorn, and it also had a trace of the filthy spring from the abyss that Ruger had given him before.

The little fairy stared blankly at the extended finger, wiped away her tears with her little hand, and hesitated. But then the change in her legs caused a look of pain to reappear on her bewildered and hesitant face.

"The mushroom can sense your kindness, but it smells bad..."

The little fairy endured the pain, looked around for a while, and then suddenly said this, almost making Luger burst out laughing.

“It will reduce your pain. Eat it, and you can leave here with me,” Zorn said patiently.

The little fairy looked at him, clenched her little fist, mustered her courage, and approached the tiny piece of flesh at her fingertips.

Just when Luger thought he would fail again, the little fairy closed her eyes, opened her mouth wide, and clenched her little fists at her sides. She didn't dare to touch the piece of meat, but she took a bite. Seeing this, Zorn raised a finger and stuffed the little piece of meat into the fairy's wide-open mouth.

The demonic aura then appeared, and Zorn smiled with satisfaction upon seeing this, squeezing a drop of blood from his fingertip onto the fairy's forehead.

The little fairy, exuding a demonic aura, stood there bewildered, seemingly undergoing a transformation.

Zorn grabbed it and stuffed it into the hair on his chest, disappearing without a trace.

“Alright, let’s continue,” Zorn said with a smile, and started walking.

The three young people looked at each other and strolled after him.
