Kobold Wizard's Journal

Chapter 307 Daydreaming and Random Thoughts

Chapter 307 Daydreaming and Random Thoughts

Several strange and hidden forces of fate are intertwined, some of which are extremely powerful.

Ruger stood in the empty room, enjoying his time alone. He looked at the two scrolls on the old table in front of him and enjoyed the quiet of the old Lunser apothecary. He remembered what Aunt Jenny had said casually as she served him food during their sumptuous dinner.

The first thing that came to mind when he thought of any strange or hidden forces of fate that could entangle him was the inexplicable curse that affected the source of the kobold's bloodline. Whether it was the time span involved, the strangeness of the curse, or the source of the curse, it could all be described as powerful. The strange curse stood there like a lock, ruthlessly hindering the kobold's growth and advancement.

In addition, he thought of Karyu, the so-called half-human. This guy had a mysterious identity, and getting involved with him would inevitably leave a mark on the so-called power of destiny.

Luger stopped humming the random tune, sighed inexplicably, picked up the scroll on the table, and turned to walk out.

There are many things to do and many things to think about.

But Ruger did nothing.

He went straight back to the dining table, waved his hand to put the remaining three dishes into the Abyss Bedroom space, and then opened the space door and followed him in.

"I should ask Big Fool Heng to take out the black and white python meat and roast it," Luger thought to himself.

Ruger strode forward, and as the portal closed, it seemed to keep all the problems and troubles outside, separating everything to be dealt with, as well as the annoying sound of rain, from the outside.

But when he entered the space, he was met with a worried-looking Da Shaheng.

The familiar voice that always appeared immediately was not there to greet him this time.

"Luger, big brother."

Big Fool looked at him with a worried expression, and even managed to squeeze out a couple of words, before turning his head to look at his feet.

Luger's expression remained unchanged, but he slightly increased his pace.

He had already heard the faint snoring.

Aiskin was lying there, fast asleep.

"Has she been like this ever since I left?" Ruger said.

During the days when the blood rain was falling, he focused on squandering his mental energy by concocting potions and meditating. The last time he came in was three days ago.

He did remember those three days, after all, he had been put to sleep by Aunt Jenny's delicious food and had been lying on the table for who knows how long.

Big Fool nodded vigorously.

"Don't be afraid, this might be her Sleep Warrior ability, or perhaps there are some changes caused by the Sleep Warrior that we haven't noticed yet..."

Ruger said with a smile, then clapped his hands.

Let Big Fool set up the pot and grill.

After Luger finished speaking, the worry on Big Fool's face disappeared, and he happily began to prepare.

If these two burly kobolds had anything they enjoyed besides their desire to increase their strength, it would undoubtedly be cooking. They loved every step of the preparation and preparation process, as well as the essential tasting. Second only to food was reading biographical novels, such as The Drunkard Knight's Dragon Slayer and The Life Warrior's Kiss of Death.

“Aiskin has been sleeping for so long, she must be starving. Let’s wake her up with the aroma of delicious food,” Ruger said with a smile.

In fact, Aiskin could be woken up by simply calling her now, but Luger hasn't come yet, and Da Sha Heng still doesn't dare to move around.

Luger smiled and got busy with Big Fool Heng.

As the uniquely cut black and white python meat was hung on the grill and sprinkled with spices while roasting, Aiskin's nose twitched slightly. Ruger sat to the side, smiling in this place where he couldn't hear the rain, watching everything.

"Brother Luger! You didn't leave?"

Aiskin woke up before the second piece of meat was cooked.

"I remember watching you leave before I lay down to sleep..."

Aiskin looked like she was doubting her memory. Luger was amused by her and pointed to the roast meat; he could already hear Aiskin's stomach growling.

The three kobolds immediately began to feast, and also brought out some red insect wine they had bought in the City of Burning Blood, as well as fruit wine and mushroom wine stored in the City of Stars.

"I'll show you something good..."

As Ruger spoke, he brought over the three strange dishes made by Aunt Jenny.

This immediately drew the attention of the two dragonborn kobolds.

"Come on, everyone try a little bit, but don't eat too much."

Luger laughed and said that he was the main force in finishing off these three dishes. Aiskin and Da Shaheng couldn't eat much. Even if these dishes were meant to cleanse the body, they would ultimately affect mental strength. If the two of them ate too much, they would be more likely to have problems.

Aiskin swallowed the roasted meat in her hand and tried to take a small piece of insect leg from the plate that Ruger was holding.

The strangeness of the dishes wasn't a problem for the two kobolds; what they really cared about was Ruger's instructions.

The thick soup made by Da Shaheng is also ready.

The three kobolds sat around the fire, enjoying the food they had prepared while carefully taking the three dishes that Luger had brought. Their cheeks were stuffed full as they ate and drank the mushroom wine.

Luger leaned against the stone bed and ate heartily.

He deliberately slowed down his consumption of the three dishes, wanting to eat more to his heart's content, lest he fall asleep again before eating much.

Just as he expected, Aiskin and Big Fool only took a small bite of the three dishes before they were already a little dizzy, and in the end, most of them ended up in his mouth.

Of course, he only ate the three dishes made by Aunt Jenny after he had eaten and drunk his fill.

In an instant, the three kobolds collapsed to the ground, leaving only the flickering fire burning away the half-piece of magic stone that had been inserted long ago.

The empty wine bottles scattered around them made it seem as if they were drunk.

Luger slept soundly for a long time.

I didn't dream, and there were no strange noises; it was just a simple and wonderful sleep.

When he woke up, Aiskin and Big Fool were still asleep beside him.

The length of time is no longer a concern at this point.

Ruger got up. The flames in the crystal furnace had gone out. Looking at their sleeping figures amidst the rising and falling snores, he couldn't help but smile slightly and stepped out of the spatial portal.

After a good laugh and a satisfying meal, it was time to get down to business.

He habitually went upstairs and unknowingly walked back to his little attic.

He touched the doorknob, pushed the door open, and lay down on the small bed.

The rain outside continued to dangle against the small attic window.

Ruger rested one arm under his head, while his other hand took out the scroll he had obtained from old Renser's room.

Old Dog Renser didn't leave behind any sentimental things like letters; both items were practical.

The thinner scroll contained the recipe for the Painless Body Potion, which I mentioned would be taught to him after the assessment. It was Old Lunser's exclusive modified version.

If he ends up as a useless person, like someone who is injured and unable to advance, he could probably make a decent living in a small wizarding town with one or two unique recipes. He could support a small shop with these recipes and sell some common potions, which would be quite good.

The other is a complete sublimation ceremony.
