Chapter 1462: Comments on "I Practicing Magic in America"

Hello everyone, I am Cang Yiwei.

Today I would like to recommend a new book to you.

"I Practice Magic in America", Westpale, Level 5 author.

Category: Urban-Urban Superpowers.

Summary:
A demon monk from the world of immortals traveled to America. He originally thought that it would be difficult to practice in modern society, but who knew that America was such a suitable country for practicing magic.

【Brief Comment】

He has 8 books under his name, including "Five Thousand Years of War", "Pet Shop of the Future", "Dragon System of All Heavens and Worlds", 3 of which are masterpieces, and the others are mostly works by eunuchs.

The new book currently has only 100,000 words, yet it's ranked second on the new book list. It has no Silver Alliance members, only a single leader. It's collected over 30,000 times. It's even higher on the new book list than the kindergarten's top book, "Force Me to Be Reborn, Right?" That's pretty impressive! No wonder the author said he'd add another update tonight.

The protagonist, Fang Xiu, is a demon cultivator who travels from a fairy-tale world across the ocean to work in a slaughterhouse. His cultivation requires a variety of killings, perfectly suited to the work of a slaughterhouse, where he earns experience points with each slaughter. Although a demon cultivator, his practice is legitimate and reasonable, avoiding the attention of those with a sense of justice.

Here, the author details the slaughtering process in detail, some of which are incredibly graphic. He then found a part-time job as a sleep tester in haunted houses. The eerie atmosphere perfectly matched his martial arts, and the pay was high. He later developed a Gu (a poisonous insect) and recruited a subordinate. Although the other person was a homeless man who had been cheated on, after the protagonist's guidance, he not only achieved revenge but also developed a desire to be a hero.

Parts of the storyline move at a breakneck pace, making it a bit hard to keep up. The openness of foreign cultures does take some getting used to. The protagonist's method of making money is also somewhat controversial; it's essentially stock speculation. This part wouldn't be well-expanded, as it would easily ruin the book. Therefore, the author maintains a rather reserved approach, not showing any practical examples.

Since this is a demon cultivation novel, the style is rather dark, so please feel free to make some mild comments while reading it, but be sure not to let this book become a huge hit. If it becomes a big hit, it will easily lead to trouble.

Because the author is a veteran who loves to leave things as they are, there is still a risk of the book being finished. I suggest you keep the book for now, and if you are really curious, you can read it later. I am afraid that some exciting plots will need to be revised later, and you will miss it if you miss it. In fact, a story like his about demon cultivation requires a huge imagination and bottom line control. It is very easy to get carried away and send the book in, which would be more trouble than it is worth. It is undeniable that the author is very talented and has unique ideas. For a veteran author to constantly try new styles is a very rare skill and quality. The fact that such a book has reached such a high position itself shows that the plot is deeply loved by readers and should be seen by more people, but a line must be controlled to prevent those with ulterior motives from causing trouble.

There is nothing else I want to say. If you are really short of books to read, just go and read the few books that the author has already completed.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”.

Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

I wrote half of this chapter last night, then got lazy and ran off.

The recent updates are indeed a bit ridiculous, for many reasons, but I haven't given up. For those friends who are in a book drought, there is a place to go when they are bored. I hope more people can read my books and support them more.

I wish you all the best!
