【Brief Comment】
He has ten books to his name, including "Assassination of Ming", "Killing Ming in Brocade Clothes", "The First Pest in the Starry Sky", "I'm Really Not the Number One Special Forces Soldier of Bright Sword", and one of them is "Eunuch". He is an experienced author who has been writing books for 13 years.
The new book is performing very well. Although the collection has not reached 3, the boutique badge has already been lit.
I took a quick look at the content and there are basically a few points I would like to talk about.
The protagonist's past life identity is unknown, but upon waking up, he is a policeman on the streets of 1935. He possesses a special ability, a built-in game system: Command & Conquer, which allows him to accurately identify hidden Japanese.
He saw a Japanese man pretending to be a rickshaw driver, picking up passengers and going directly home. He chose to go home when the flow of people was the highest, which made him suspicious. Although he had not seen many spy movies, he also judged that this man was definitely a Japanese spy.
When he tried to continue observing, a gun was pointed at his head. It turned out that the driver had long been targeted by the Rulixingshe Secret Service. The protagonist vehemently argued that he was merely curious and was simply identifying Japanese individuals by scent, but he was still taken to the Secret Service and imprisoned. After a round of testing, he was recruited as a spy, his primary task being to identify those who were Japanese spies. At this point, the Secret Service had become a powerful, reactionary organization, primarily focused on eliminating Japanese spies.
The protagonist helped the department identify numerous daily failures, improving his skills through training and making a significant contribution in a recent arrest. He successfully apprehended a female Japanese spy, who had disguised herself, and during the interrogation, he witnessed how the department conducted regular interrogations. However, the female spy was cunning and difficult to deal with, specifically requesting the protagonist's personal interrogation, even revealing his true past and identity. She refused to accept the truth, despite having concealed herself so well.
After making a great contribution, the protagonist successfully joined the special training class run by Boss Dai, began to catch the attention of the upper echelons, and was gradually reused. His life would also become different.
This book has several highlights. One is that the setting is relatively new, giving insight into the identity of the Japanese spy. The protagonist is rather foolish and simple, and his growth process is relatively random, as if he is being pushed by external factors. Another is that the plot is more original, with a rhythm similar to that of online novels. The plot is not dull and is quite interesting.
There are a few downsides. First, the writing is subpar, with a lot of verbiage. Second, the paragraphing is unconventional, with a few words forming a paragraph, which isn't my style. Third, the logic is weak and doesn't hold up to scrutiny, and the supporting characters are rather silly. Overall, it's a refreshing, fast-paced novel.
Good spy-themed books are hard to find, but this one strikes me as quite interesting and I'm not against it. I don't have anything else I'd particularly like to discuss. If you're interested, you might want to check it out.
【to sum up】
Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.
