Conquer Europe from the West

Chapter 7: Surrender or be bombed!

Chapter 7: Surrender or be bombed!

The Farlans' tower defense tactics are very simple.

A group of people gathered in the corridor and shot down through the gap in the stairs.

Once something appears, they just have to pull the trigger, and the rest is not up to them.

The flying bullets could certainly repel the enemy, but at the same time, the Farlans who had lost their retreat could only control the corridor as an advantage - there were a total of 25 people in the building, but 12 people were killed on the first and third floors alone, and the remaining five were communicators and civilian staff who had no combat capability.

Now the only people they can use are the eight people guarding the stairs.

The leading Farlan commander kept shouting "fire" and "ready" in Farlan in the corridor, accompanied by a wave of volleys almost every few seconds, completely pinning Ryan and others who were trying to push forward to the first floor.

Ryan originally wanted to use a grenade to create a breakthrough, but the wooden-handled grenade hit the wall and didn't bounce off at all, and he almost blew himself up.

But his actions really scared the Farlanes upstairs and Brinkman and others standing next to him half to death.

Although the wooden-handled grenade did not bounce upstairs as Ryan had expected, when it landed on the middle platform of the stairs from the first floor to the second floor, it immediately dispersed all the Farlan soldiers surrounding the stairs.

They screamed and squeezed into the passage they came from, and only rushed back to the corridor entrance after the grenade exploded, and began to suppress the fire with crackling sounds.

For a moment, the corridor was filled with flying debris and bullet fragments.

Brinkman was unwilling to give up the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and she even reached out to pull off the necklace around her neck.

"If I had this..."

Ryan saw her mumbling to herself in the corner and thought she was stupid, but then he heard her shout to a sergeant standing opposite her: "McQuay, give them another one!"

Upon hearing this, the sergeant immediately took out two grenades and prepared to imitate Ryan's actions and throw them onto the platform in the middle of the stairs.

But before he could do anything, Ryan, who was standing further back, grabbed his hand and said, "Wait!"

The sergeant stopped immediately, but his eyes were still on Brinkman.

It was obvious that he had no trust in this officer who had just been given command.

Lieutenant Brinkman was also stunned for a moment, and his hands that were holding the jewel necklace kept exerting force until his knuckles turned white.

Ryan naturally didn't understand what Brinkmann's actions meant, and it could even be said that he didn't have the chance to care so much at all.

The most important thing at this time is to attack the corridor, rather than worrying about such trivial matters here.

One hundred and eighty seconds had passed since the battle began. Farlan's troops would reach the command post in the same amount of time. If Wolf could suppress them with machine guns, the time might be extended to two hundred and forty seconds.

But that was only 240 seconds.

Ryan must race against time.

He held onto the sergeant named McIver, and because he was afraid that the Farlane upstairs could understand the Imperial language, he could only whisper in his ear:

"Don't pull the trigger on the first grenade! After you throw it in, wait for them to back off, then throw the fucking second grenade!"

His words immediately made McIver's blue eyes light up.

In Brinkman's opinion, it was as if a normal person suddenly turned into a hungry wolf, and his entire temperament changed 180 degrees!

"Understood! Sir!" McIver immediately shouted at the top of his voice and threw the first grenade in his hand.

Several exclamations were immediately heard from upstairs, and the footsteps of the Farlans began to move towards both sides of the corridor.

McIver didn't hesitate. He immediately pulled the second grenade, rushed to the staircase, and threw it directly into the second-floor corridor. More exclamations and screams rang out, and with the second grenade being pulled, the scene became even more tragic.

The two consecutive roars made Ryan and the others dazzled, but compared to those Farlan guys who were actually hit by two grenades, this was already the best that could be.

Without hesitation, Ryan immediately glanced at the map.

The second floor is cleared!
McIver confirmed this information earlier than him.

The only sounds on the stairs were his shouts of "LOS LOS LOS". Another sergeant immediately rushed up with him, holding the pistol he had seized from the Farlans.

Brinkman was also one step faster than Ryan. She rushed to the second floor first and shot at the Farlan soldier who was the farthest away from her, who had not been completely killed and was obviously still half alive.

The soldier, who had been half-killed by the explosion, breathed his last immediately. His hands twitched weakly twice, and he was supported by the rubble beside him and half-lifted in the air.

Ryan didn't understand why she did that, but he still said, "There's no one on the second floor! They're on the third floor!"

"Yes, sir!"

The two non-commissioned officers in front shouted immediately and fired two shots from their pistols at the corridor above.

But there was obviously no one up there.

They broke through to the top floor, the third floor, without any obstruction.

The soldiers who had been hit by the grenade were now lying on the ground, not breathing. A big hole had been blown out of the room on one side, and it was obvious that no one was there.

Knowing this, the two non-commissioned officers did not hesitate and directly surrounded the only remaining room.

Ryan stepped forward, but suddenly remembered that he didn't speak Farlan at all.

"Come here, Lieutenant!"

He pulled Brinkman, who was standing nearby, over and said, "Make them surrender, or we'll feed them grenades!"

Brinkmann glanced at him and then began to shout in Farlane.

Just as he finished speaking, a man's voice came from inside: "Non!"

Ryan still understood this.

He fired eight shots directly at the wooden door, emptying the magazine he had just replaced.

Immediately, several screams were heard from inside.

"Grenade!" Ryan shouted!
"Grenade!" Brinkmann shouted in Farsi next.

"Yes!" McIver responded immediately, and in order to imitate the sound of pulling the rope, he even rubbed his shoulder hard against the rough wall.

This completely stunned the Farlane inside.

But the man from before was still resisting stubbornly.

Two gunshots rang out in the room, one hitting the wall and the other penetrating the wooden door.

But soon, accompanied by two more gunshots, another Farlane hiding in the room also shouted.

"Wait! I surrender, I surrender!"
