Conquer Europe from the West

Chapter 6: Building Attack

Chapter 6: Building Attack
The two non-commissioned officers equipped with grenades rushed out from the gap on one side almost immediately.

The rustling sound of the raincoats they wore as camouflage and protection could be heard clearly even from a distance.

Lieutenant Brinkman, true to her rank, was ready to charge, but she stumbled as she stood up.

Fortunately, Ryan was right next to her and he grabbed her arm and lifted her up.

"Thanks."

She glanced at Ryan, but with a force, she shook off Ryan's hand, holding her pistol and rushed out with the two non-commissioned officers in front of her.

Seeing this, Ryan was speechless.

He couldn't stand the girl's typical aristocratic aura, but now was not the time to talk about such things.

on both sides.

As Lieutenants Ryan and Brinkman left the bunker, a small team and Wolfe and others who realized that it was the best time to attack immediately heard the whistle blown by Lieutenant Brinkman.

The sharp whistle pierced the air, clearly sending the order to attack to all the soldiers lying in ambush behind the bunkers, as well as the ears of the Farlan soldiers and officers hiding in the command post.

Ryan could hear bursts of indistinct noises coming from the command post and saw red shadows flash in the windows of the second and third floors.

That was the Farlane uniform.

They prepared to launch a counterattack from the window.

"Grenadiers! Attack the stairs and corridors on the second and third floors!"

Realizing this, Ryan immediately gave orders and grabbed his pistol and fired continuously at the farthest windows.

The brass bullets were completely unable to cause any damage to the concrete buildings. Almost all the bullets turned into a stream of light after hitting the buildings and flew into the distance along the hit walls.

But this really scared the Farlan soldiers who were still in the building.

They had already prepared to fight back, but they immediately shrank back, and a few of the timid ones even sat down on the ground.

Shouts and footsteps echoed throughout the corridor. The soldiers, who could not see the enemy's direction, scrambled to move forward, but the soldiers at the front were frightened by the mere eight bullets and dared not move forward, causing them to miss the best opportunity to set up a defense line.

The two non-commissioned officers at the front immediately understood what Ryan meant.

There was no need for Ryan to give more precise instructions. The sergeant who had handed Ryan the grenade before directly pulled open the tail cover of the wooden-handled grenade and threw the two smoking grenades into the two third-floor windows that Ryan had originally aimed at.

boom!
boom!
Two deafening roars immediately sounded in the corridor, and a large amount of dust gushed out of the windows, accompanied by the wails of the Farlan people.

Ryan didn't dare to switch out of the map interface, but he knew that the Farlan guy behind the two windows was probably in danger.

Intensive gunfire rang out from behind.

Ryan subconsciously looked back.

He saw that a small team left one person on the top floor of the initial concrete building as a sentry, and the rest of the people rushed to the position at the entrance of the command post, which was full of corpses of the men in red pants.

The sandbag wall that was originally used to protect the Farlan soldiers has now become a shelter for these imperial soldiers. Although there are only three people and three Mauser rifles, they rely on simple and rough suppressing shooting to force the remaining Farlan soldiers to not even be able to stick the muzzles of their guns out of the windows.

On the other side, Wolf also rushed to the front line with his deputy.

His deputy rushed to the dead Farlan officer's side and pulled an officer's pistol from his belt. He threw the pistol to Wolfe and took the Mauser rifle from Wolfe's hand, which was too long for indoor combat.

Lieutenant Brinkman saw their actions, but before she could say anything, a Farlan grenade fell in front of her.

Ryan's heart almost stopped when he saw this scene, because he knew very well that the information in this little girl's head was far more important than himself who had luckily taken over the body of some unlucky guy.

But everything was too late.

Before he could rush out and knock Lieutenant Brinkman away, the grenade exploded.

The black smoke and exploded soil flew high into the sky, splashing all over Ryan and the others' faces.

He hurriedly brushed off the mud and dust on his head and face, but saw that the girl who should have been blown away was squatting on the hole that was obviously created by the grenade, as if nothing had happened.

The ground around them was littered with fading fragments of blue glass—if that stuff really was glass.

"Huh? No?"

This abstract picture made Ryan's head twitch, but the girl immediately stood up, turned around, and kicked open the door of the command post.

The grenadier followed closely behind and threw two grenades that had already been pulled into the corridors on both sides.

Two explosions were heard in succession, and all the Farlan soldiers blocking the corridors on both sides of the first floor were killed instantly.

Ryan immediately checked the map.

The red dots on the first floor haven't completely disappeared, but there are only two or three left.

On the left side of the third floor, there were five or six people hiding in a room that was not attacked by bombs and artillery fire, and the remaining seven or eight red dots were all in the corridor on the second floor.

It was obvious that they were waiting for Ryan and the others to rush forward and seek their own death.

A further direction.

The Farlan troops, who were originally responsible for cleaning the buildings in the camp, had already changed their direction of movement and were running wildly in the direction where the gunshots were heard.

Although the troops at the camp gate were constantly moving, they did not leave the camp gate.

Perhaps they received orders, or perhaps they knew something, and they should defend the gate.

Ryan thought, it’s a good thing that no one rushed over together.

After exiting the map interface, he didn't rush into the command post immediately. Instead, he turned and shouted to Wolfe, "Wolf! You take control of the machine gun! A small team will follow him to establish a simple machine gun position! The enemy is about to rush in from the west. Don't let them get close!"

The leader of the squad, a sergeant, immediately picked up his gun and, with two of his men, pulled away the bodies that were pressing down on the Hotchkiss machine gun. They moved the sandbags to the side and tried to build a simple machine gun position.

Wolfe immediately threw his pistol to Ryan, and together with his deputy, found a box of loaded magazines and half a box of bullets from a motorcycle nearby.

The whole process didn't even take twenty seconds.

This also gave Ryan the opportunity to turn his attention back to the interior of the command post.

The dense sound of gunfire, just like the red dots he had seen before, continued to come from the corridor.
