Chapter 1269 The Imprisoned Young Hero
Chapter 1269 The Imprisoned Young Hero
The Young Justice League has become more and more like a mature team, and their level of professionalism is no less than that of a professional superhero team.
However, this does not mean that they all meet the criteria for joining the Justice League. In fact, the children still have some deficiencies in their abilities, and their ability to reach this level is the result of the team members supporting each other.
However, even superheroes are not perfect, so it's believed that they will soon become members of the Justice League.
Robin brought up this topic during his sparring session with Kid Flash today.
"Join the Justice League?" Robin paused, taken aback. "Why are you suddenly asking this?"
"It's nothing, we're just looking for something to talk about." Lightning Boy waved his hand. "Never mind that for now, what are your thoughts on this?"
"I don't really have any thoughts on it." Robin picked up a towel to wipe his sweat. "If you hadn't brought it up, I probably would have forgotten about it."
"How do you say this?"
"It means exactly what it says. I feel that our current team is pretty good."
Robin counted on his fingers: "Giant plants, Biarriya, two worlds, retrieving the Helmet of Destiny, defeating the Witch Child, and recently we also defeated Mongo and stopped the War World from bombing Earth."
"I'm telling you, bro, many Justice League heroes don't have as many achievements as us."
“I joined the Justice League to help more people, and now that can be achieved in the Young Justice League, I feel it doesn’t matter whether I join the Justice League or not.”
“Now that you mention it, I guess you’re right.” Kid Flash scratched his cheek. “But we all have to grow up eventually. If we’re all grown up and our team is still called the Young Justice League, don’t you think it’ll be like we’re still Boy Scouts?”
“Why not just change the team name?” Robin rolled her eyes. “The name ‘Young Justice League’ wasn’t chosen by us in the first place, and there’s no hard and fast rule from Batman. If you don’t like it, you can just change the name.”
Robin's suggestion really piqued the interest of the Kid Flash. He even stopped training and focused intently on coming up with a new name that suited their team.
This is not an easy task. The Kid Flash has already said that they will grow up sooner or later, so it would be best if they could use this name until they grow up.
In other words, some rather cheesy or childish names definitely can't be chosen.
Robin hadn't expected Kid Flash to be so interested, but considering that this meant the latter wouldn't bother him for a long time, he decided not to offer to help him.
Robin, who was enjoying a rare moment of leisure, wanted to go and discuss something with Jackson, but then remembered that Jackson was on holiday and had gone home. Helpless, he could only take his microcomputer to the cafeteria.
Now that things have come to this, let’s eat first.
Unlike the Justice League, the Junior Justice League has a cafeteria, but no full-time chef.
Generally, the guardians are responsible for cooking, like Red Tornado and Yang Le. Since the former is no longer a guardian, Yang Le is now mainly in charge of their meals.
Yang Le has his own things to do, so he can't come to cook every day. Therefore, the children usually take turns cooking on their own.
For a long time, the diet was provided by Haimei, the original Blue Beetle, since his Scarab had been removed.
Without the Blue Beetle, Haimei's fighting style would have to change drastically. Fortunately, the second-generation Blue Beetle stepped forward and became Haimei's teacher.
Although the second-generation Blue Beetle didn't inherit the Scarab from the first Blue Beetle, he became a superhero praised even by Batman through his relentless efforts and the use of other high-tech gadgets and his own skills. Training takes a lot of time, and during this period when he couldn't go on missions, Jaime took on many logistical tasks for the Young Justice League, until Yang Le handed over the Gatack he invented to him.
The children then returned to their original shift system.
Robin happened to be on duty today. He doesn't know how to cook, so he just planned to cook a big pot of spaghetti and grill some steaks.
These are all relatively simple things. Just rinse the pasta and add the prepared sauce. The steak is also marinated, so you can just throw it in the oven.
After completing these preparations, Robin put the food in the pot, closed the oven door, and decided to pass the time by researching, as usual.
It was precisely because he always made use of these spare moments to read that Robin was able to answer his companions' questions fluently.
"Drip!"
Robin, who was concentrating intently, was interrupted by the sudden sound of a communication device. He immediately answered the call.
"This is Robin."
"This is Batman."
"Batman? What happened? Is there a new mission?"
Upon hearing that it was Batman's communication, Robin immediately sat up straight. He knew that the latter would not contact him casually under normal circumstances, especially during "working hours".
"I need you to convey this message to all members of the Young Justice League: Aquaman has violated the laws of Atlantis and is now imprisoned."
"What!?" Robin jumped up, so much so that he knocked over the chair behind him.
"How is that possible? There must be some misunderstanding."
"I don't know." Batman's voice was as calm as ever, and no one would suspect that he was actually reading from a script on the other end of the communicator.
"This is the information the Justice League received. We will investigate. I'm informing you so that you understand that Jackson is unlikely to be back in the next few days."
"Do you need our help?" Robin asked hastily. Actually, he wanted to say that he definitely needed their help, but after hesitating for a moment, he changed his words.
“No need. We’ll handle Aquaman. You’re in charge of informing your team.” Batman refused Robin’s request. “Remember to keep your team calm and don’t let them do anything out of line.”
"Atlantis has its own laws, and if things go wrong, it could cause international problems."
“…I understand.” Robin was silent for a moment. “I will inform everyone.”
Batman then hung up the call. Robin leaned on the table, seemingly lost in thought. Luckily, Stargirl and the others, feeling hungry, went into the cafeteria; otherwise, he might have blown up the kitchen.
"What happened, Robin?" Zatanna asked with concern.
"What could make you so distracted?" Superboy crossed his arms. "If we hadn't arrived early, the kitchen would have caught fire."
