Chapter 1270 Young Hero Hai's Defection
Chapter 1270 Young Hero Hai's Defection
No matter how hard Robin found it to accept, as the leader of the Young Justice League, he had to truthfully tell his teammates the information he had received.
Everyone else reacted the same way he did; none of them could accept it immediately.
"I don't understand?" Pulse scratched his head. "Didn't Young Master Hai go home? He's still Aquaman's student, didn't Aquaman speak up for him?"
The meaning of "pulse" is not that Aquaman will forgive Aquaman for every mistake he makes; it is based on the premise that Aquaman will never make a mistake.
It can only be said that Hai Shaoxia has left a positive impression on everyone. When this happened, no one thought it was his fault at first, and some even dared to question the Justice League's judgment.
“I don’t know.” Robin shook his head. “Batman doesn’t know much about it either; they seem to be negotiating with Aquaman.”
"Hai Shaoxia is currently being held in a prison in Atlantis. Don't panic, he should be released soon."
Robin began to comfort everyone. Although he was also a little uneasy, it was his duty as a team leader to calm his teammates down.
Even so, everyone still had many questions, but out of trust in the Justice League, they suppressed their dissatisfaction and decided to wait and see.
They waited all day, and everyone continued to carry out their mission as usual, until the next day when they heard even worse news.
Batman gathered all the members of the Young Justice League, including their guardian, Yang Le.
In addition, many other superheroes gathered at the scene, and judging from their serious expressions, nothing good could be coming.
"Everyone's here. I have an announcement to make: Young Master Hai has defected."
Batman calmly uttered words that shocked all the members of the Young Justice League present.
Robin and the others were struck dumb, and even Kid the Lightning couldn't help but open his mouth wide.
"This joke isn't funny at all..."
“Nobody’s joking with you, Lightning Boy,” Yang Le interrupted. “We’re talking about something very serious right now. Listen carefully, and we’ll give you a chance to speak later.”
Once everyone had quieted down, Batman explained the whole story to them.
"After returning to Atlantis, Aquaman Jackson learned that Tura, an Atlantean he was connected with, had died in a mission gone wrong."
'Is Tula the girl Jackson used to like?'
Kid Flash asked a question on the Mind Channel and quickly received an affirmative answer from Robin.
'Yes, but according to Jackson himself, Tura and another friend, Gus, were in love, so he withdrew from the relationship.'
"Jackson couldn't accept this fact and went to the deceased's lover, Gus, accusing him of failing to protect the deceased and launching an attack, but he was quickly stopped by Aquaman who arrived after hearing the news."
"Because the situation was quite serious and involved internal strife, Aquaman imprisoned Jackson to reflect on his actions."
According to Aquaman, his original intention was only to detain Jackson for a few days to calm him down before releasing him, but he did not expect to hear a rumor while in prison.
"The message is that Jackson was actually Black Manta's child."
"Black Manta? Is it the Black Manta I'm thinking of?" Robin's face stiffened.
Before Robin could be confused for long, Batman thoughtfully posted Black Manta's information. "Black Manta is a notorious supervillain and Atlantis's most hated enemy. The specific reasons will not be discussed here."
"Getting back to the main point, unable to accept this fact, Jackson escaped from prison and confronted Aquaman face to face, getting a positive answer from the other man."
Batman paused for a moment, cleared his throat, and continued, "A distraught Jackson attacked Aquaman and then escaped from Atlantis."
"This is the whole story, therefore Young Justice League, we need you to bring back Jackson from the timeline."
Robin clearly hadn't finished processing the information, and only reacted and accepted the mission when Batman called his name.
After giving the mission, Batman led the group of superheroes away. In reality, only he and Yang Le were truly useful; the rest were just there to fill in.
This was to create a serious and formal image for the Young Justice League; otherwise, given Robin and the others' intelligence, they would probably have found the loopholes immediately.
Now, there's a superhero-like aura about it, and even if people don't believe it, they subconsciously feel that it's true.
Seeing the mission information in his hand, Robin said with a bitter face, "Really...?"
"I simply don't believe it," Lightning Boy said firmly.
"Whether we believe it or not, the mission has already been issued," Artemis said in a low voice.
"Everyone, I think instead of guessing here, we should just ask Jackson himself."
The Martian girl forced a smile, but she still jumped out to clap her hands and attract everyone's attention.
“Meghan is right,” Superboy said seriously. “Let’s go find Jackson. I trust Jackson’s character. Let’s put an end to this farce.”
"Let's rest and prepare," Robin said, taking a deep breath. "I'll organize all the information first, and then we'll set off!"
After Robin announced the disbandment, everyone went about their own preparations, some adjusting their equipment, others warming up and getting into shape, much like before.
However, unlike before, this time no one had the usual smiles on their faces, not even the carefree speedster duo were joking around.
"Tsk tsk tsk." Yang Le shook his head as he looked at everyone.
'Judging from their expressions, I wonder what these kids would think if they knew it was all a charade.'
To avoid being overheard by Superboy and Martian Girl's super hearing, Yang Le only dared to grumble in his heart from beginning to end.
As for why he didn't guard against the Martian girl's telepathy, Yang Le naturally had a way to counter it.
"Never mind." Yang Le stretched.
'Even if I'm exposed, these kids won't dare come and question me, so why should I worry about it?'
About twenty minutes later, Robin finished organizing all the data and then gathered all the members in the control room.
"This operation will be carried out by me, Lightning Boy, Superboy, and Martian Girl," Robin said to the group.
"This mission doesn't require too many people, so the rest of you can stay at the base and I'll let you know if needed."
