Chapter 1242 Batman's Shura Field

Chapter 1242 Batman's Shura Field

Batman's statement was not made up out of thin air, but rather derived from a brief deduction.

First of all, let's set aside why Jason, an ordinary street thug, would be targeted by the League of Assassins. If we follow the logic that the latter wanted to find the former, then we would not be able to proceed from the first step.

If the League of Assassins really needed something from Jason, they wouldn't have thrown darts at his head; they would have aimed to cripple his mobility by throwing darts at his arms and legs.

However, Jason is just an ordinary Earthling, and his head is one of his fatal weaknesses. Any normal person would not survive if four or five kunai were stuck in their head.

The League of Assassins' initial goal was to kill Jason, which proves that the former's target was himself, while the latter was just an ordinary person who was dragged into it.

Batman's deduction proved correct; after he said those words, the surrounding assassins stopped moving, as if waiting for someone.

Sure enough, a few seconds later, a figure familiar to Batman emerged from behind the assassins he was facing.

"Talia," Batman murmured the name. The woman was none other than the daughter of Rashomon, the leader of the League of Assassins, and one of the few women who had left a deep impression on Batman.

She was also the first woman to sleep with him.

However, after Yang Le and the others speculated, Batman still didn't know whether the two of them had actually been intimate that night, or whether the latter had simply used her hands to do it for him.

In the past, Talia wouldn't have minded flirting with Batman for a while, but now she's definitely not in the mood for it.

“You know why I’m here, Batman?” Talia asked urgently. “Damian, is he with you?”

Batman's eyes flickered, and anyone who understood micro-expressions could tell that Talia's urgency was genuine; she truly wanted to know Damian's whereabouts immediately. Since that was the case, he wouldn't keep a mother in suspense.

“Damian is indeed with me,” Batman nodded in acknowledgment. “He came to me himself, and frankly, I was surprised by his efficiency.”

"That's good." Talia breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that Batman was not the kind of man who would joke about this, so even without any evidence, she believed him based on words alone.

After getting the answer she wanted, Talia was no longer so nervous, and she returned to her usual composed self.

"It seems you already know everything. I was planning to give you a surprise."

"You have no idea how much I want to see your shocked expression. I believe that expression could give me a good mood for a whole year."

Batman remained silent. Ever since they met, aside from their initial encounter where they drew swords at each other, Talia had always wanted to see him defeated, but thankfully she had never succeeded.

Damian's actions were indeed unexpected, but fortunately Yang Le had informed him of everything beforehand, allowing him to prepare.

"Did you come to me just to say this, Talia?" Batman secretly reached for his All-Purpose Belt, preparing to notify the League to keep everyone here.

Now that we know from Damian that the League of Assassins is connected to the Illuminati, and that Lei Xiaogu is one of the leaders of the Illuminati, we can't simply let Talia go.

After all, unlike Damian, Talia is an adult and the daughter of Rashomon, so she has access to far more information about the Illuminati than Damian, who is a child.

If we can get some information out of her, then our plans against the Illuminati can be improved.

As if reading Batman's mind, Talia deftly drew her pistol from her waist and pointed it at him. "You know Batman, I know you well," Talia said with a smile. "Leaving aside what's behind my back, are you looking down on me by pulling these dirty tricks to my face?"

The Batsuit is indeed bulletproof, but that doesn't mean he won't feel pain when hit by a bullet. Today was just a routine patrol, and Batman was only wearing his everyday suit. This suit doesn't make him immune to bullets.

“That’s it, bat,” Talia said with a smile. “I didn’t come here to cause you trouble, so you’d better not disappoint a mother longing to see her child, okay?”

Batman didn't speak immediately; he was thinking of a way to break the deadlock. The simplest way was to start the Batmobile next to him, but unfortunately, Jason had removed two of its tires, so he couldn't just drive the Batmobile to break the deadlock.

Then we'll have to use riot guns.

Just as Batman, having figured things out, was about to activate the vehicle, he heard a sharp whooshing sound.

"Snapped!"

"Well!"

A sharp pain forced Talia to release her right hand, and the pistol naturally slipped out of her grasp. Then, with another bang, the pistol, which hadn't even hit the ground, was caught by a black rope and pulled away.

"who!?"

Talia asked sharply, while looking in the direction the rope had been pulled away, only to see a graceful woman in a tight-fitting bodysuit.

This woman was in no way inferior to Talia in terms of figure or appearance. Although the former did not have the exotic charm of the latter, her cat-like mystery and aloofness were something that Talia could not match.

"I never expected to see such a rare sight at night~" The cat-like woman wielded the whip with ease, and the pistol that had been wrapped around it obediently fell into her hand.

"I've done you such a big favor, how will you repay me?"

"Oh no?" Talia immediately realized something. She turned her head sharply and found that the assassins who had surrounded Batman were now lying on the ground.

While everyone was distracted by the sudden appearance of the troublemaker, Batman wasted no time. As if he had planned it with the troublemaker, he used the brief time difference to complete the reversal.

"Selena, you don't just wander around at night for no reason, do you have your eye on some treasure this time?"

Batman's response to the woman's question was rather cold, which made her frown repeatedly.

"I really don't like that answer." Catwoman Selena stretched like a cat, displaying her perfect figure to her beloved without reservation.

"I wasn't planning on embarrassing you in front of others, but you've upset me, so why is this woman here?"

This question caused Batman's breathing to falter slightly. He hadn't figured out how to tell Serena about Damian, and explaining Talia's situation required clarifying the whole story.

“That’s true.” Talia said, covering her right hand and trying to sound casual.

"It was just a mother coming to find her child's father and child."
