Chapter 1241 Jason Todd
Batman is pondering how to deal with Jason, one of the few criminals who has given him a real headache lately.

The main reason is age. According to the data he retrieved from the Gotham Police Department, Jason should only be 11 years old, a full five years younger than Dick.

Children of this age are usually still in school, but due to family reasons, Gison only stayed in school for the first year. After his mother died, he ran away from home to escape his criminal father.

Jason's father was no responsible man; he didn't care whether Jason went to school or even lived.

If it weren't for Wayne Corporation's schooling policy for the poor in the downtown area, which exempts them from paying any tuition fees, Jason probably wouldn't have been able to attend school for even a year.

Wayne Group's policies for the Lower East Side actually go beyond this. Families throughout the Lower East Side that meet the criteria—families facing difficulties supporting elderly parents and children—are eligible for relief funds from Wayne Bank.

It's not a lot, but it's enough for a family to eat and drink for a month. Of course, they can't eat too well, but it's enough to survive.

Normally, as long as eligible families receive welfare benefits and find a regular job, even a low-wage cashier job, they can live a comfortable life and even occasionally treat themselves to a nice meal.

However, the mess in the lower district has been there for so long that the probability of finding an honest family there is about the same as winning the lottery.

In Gotham, this melting pot of corruption, everyone is more or less a little dirty; there's no other way, everyone's just trying to survive.

After Jason ran away from home, Wayne Enterprises' salesman determined that his father was no longer eligible for welfare and disqualified him unless he could bring Jason back to school.

Jason's father did go looking for Jason at first, but young Jason was quick-witted, agile, and had already run out of his neighborhood and gone to another neighborhood.

Jason's dad, whose brain was still sluggish from taking drugs, was convinced that a little Jason couldn't have gone too far. He searched his neighborhood for a month but couldn't find him until his welfare money for the month ran out.

Forced into a corner, Jason's father had no choice but to take up his old job: robbery. That very night, he ran into Commissioner Gordon, who was leading a team to arrest drug dealers.

It was just a matter of convenience; Jason's dad and a bunch of Penguin henchmen got into the same car and brought them back.

Further investigation revealed that Jason's father was a repeat offender, and he was given a heavy sentence for all his previous crimes, and is still in prison.

Jason was unaware of all this; he still believed his father had died from drug overdoses at home.

This made things much more complicated for Jason, as Batman saw him as completely different from the other kids.

In Gotham, it's impossible for anyone not to recognize the Batmobile. Generally speaking, even notorious criminals would avoid the Batmobile, let alone children. But Jason had the guts to come up and remove its tires.

Moreover, after being caught red-handed, he still had the audacity to hit her directly; this ruthlessness is not something an ordinary person possesses.

If left unchecked and Jason continues to roam the streets, Batman believes he will see a rising criminal star who can punch the Penguin and kick Two-Face.

Batman had to admit that for a kid like Jason, the best solution was to simply transfer him out of Gotham.

Gotham's environment is just too nourishing; I'm already over-nourished. It's better to go somewhere else. Batman looked at Jason. Ever since he killed him, the latter hadn't said a word, but judging from the fact that the other guy hadn't put down the tire-removing stick, the kid was definitely not convinced.

However, Batman didn't consider Jason's feelings. He took out his restraints and walked towards Jason.

When the latter saw Batman walking towards him, he was actually a little flustered. After all, Batman was a muscular man who was nearly two meters tall and wearing a black uniform. Anyone would be scared.

Jason's foot had actually stopped hurting a long time ago. The reason he had been sitting on the ground was to wait for an opportunity to decide whether to run away first or launch a sneak attack.

Now that Batman is walking towards him, he has lost his chance to escape, so the only option left is to launch a sneak attack.

Thinking this, Jason raised his hand and lashed out with the stick again after Batman had moved to a suitable distance. This insidious move was aimed directly at Bruce.

Batman has seen plenty of these underhanded moves, and he's used them himself quite often. He's ready to use any move he can against superhumans like Crocodile Man.

Jason's actions were child's play to him. Batman simply stopped, and Jason's bat missed its mark. Then, with just a slight effort, Batman snatched the tire-removing stick from Jason's hand.

Batman casually tossed the tire remover aside and was about to use the restraints to tie Jason up when he suddenly noticed something amiss.

Without hesitation, Batman used his leg strength to lunge towards Jason, who was completely stunned by the sight of the tiger-like Batman. It wasn't until the two of them rolled around on the ground a few times and came to a stop that he came to his senses.

Because of the angle at which the two stopped, Jason was able to see that there were several darts stuck in the spot where he had just been sitting, and they looked somewhat like the style of Japanese ninjas.

"start running."

A deep, hoarse voice entered Jason's ear. It was Batman. He pushed the man behind him with his hand, then stood up and completely shielded him from view.

Before Jason could even get up, he noticed that there were already some people around him who were completely covered up.

Jason noticed that these people were carrying weapons, some were samurai swords, some were throwing stars, and combined with their imposing manner, it was clear that they were a group of people who were not to be trifled with.

As the saying goes, "Listen to advice and you'll eat your fill." The reason Jason dared to swing his bat at Batman was because everyone knew that Batman never killed anyone; at most, he would break your limbs, and he was even kinder to children.

But the guys around him were clearly not good people; you could tell at a glance they would come at you and slash you without even asking what happened.

Therefore, Jason turned and ran, not even caring about the equipment in his backpack; life was far more important than these external things.

Several assassins saw Jason escape and instinctively tried to stop him, but Batman seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, casually throwing a few batarangs to stop them all.

“Let him go,” Batman said coldly. “I know your target is me.”
