Mystery: Who has seen my brother?
Chapter 227 Home
Chapter 227 Going Home
Although it was a detention facility, the place where Admiral was located was actually a comfortable lounge, where neither the soft sofas nor the warm coffee could create any sense of tension.
"Admirsol?"
Upon entering the room, Klein saw a young man huddled in a corner, his head in his hands, muttering something under his breath, but the words were as jumbled and difficult to decipher as if they were countless characters mixed together.
Klein was fluent in Rune, Ancient Fursak, Hermes, Ancient Hermes, Giants and Elven, and had some knowledge of Intis, but even with such powerful language skills, he could not decipher the meaning of Admisor's words.
Perhaps it's just Rune, but it's so chaotic that it's difficult to decipher.
"Admirsol?"
Seeing that he didn't react, Klein called out again and cautiously approached him.
As the distance closed in, the closer they got, the more the chaotic words pierced their ears, making them increasingly hesitant.
Did Admisol really not lose control?
Everything before him made Klein think to himself that Admisor was in very bad shape.
Perhaps hearing Klein's voice, or perhaps sensing the approach of someone behind him, Admiral suddenly stood up, lunged at Klein, gripped his shoulders tightly with both hands, and kept calling out Klein's name.
Admitso's sudden attack caused Klein to take two steps back. He immediately put his hand on Admitso's shoulder to stop the other's sudden approach and maintain a certain distance.
“Calm down, Admisor, calm down, you will be safe, it’s safe here, the goddess will protect us…” Klein tried to calm Admisor down, but to no avail, so he gave up and instead asked, “What did you see?”
Admiral's body suddenly stiffened, like a broken machine abruptly stopping and starting. He clenched his fists, gripping Klein's shoulders tightly, and muttered, "You, you, no, it wasn't you, it wasn't you, I don't know, I don't know..."
I?
Klein was puzzled, but unfortunately, Admisor was in a very bad state, and his words were incoherent, repeating the same few sentences over and over again. Klein tried to soothe him, but to no avail.
If there were a "psychologist"... perhaps I could request a consultation from Miss "Justice"?
Klein pondered this in his mind, while keeping his hands focused, trying his best to separate himself from Admisor.
Surprisingly, although Admitso gripped him extremely tightly, Klein easily pulled him away, but the other man always reached out to Klein at the first moment, like a drowning person constantly waving his hands to grab a floating straw.
Klein had no choice but to call out towards the door, "Captain!"
Upon receiving the message, Dunn and Sega immediately rushed into the house and separated Klein and Admitso. In the instant they separated, Sega pinned Admitso to the ground, his legs half-bent against Admitso's back to prevent him from suddenly attacking.
“Klein?” Dunn called out.
“I’m fine, Captain,” Klein shook his head to indicate that he was alright. “Let’s go outside and talk.”
Dunn nodded and turned to look at Admitso and Siga.
“He’s not injured,” Sica said, looking up, “but his mental state is very poor, which is quite obvious, and we can’t find the reason.”
“Siga continues to guard Admisor,” Dunn instructed, then turned to Klein and said, “Let’s go.”
Dunn led Klein out of the lounge where Admitso was being held and into his office. As soon as they sat down, Dunn asked, "What did Admitso say?"
Klein organized his thoughts, then said seriously, "He saw me." "He saw you?"
“Yes,” Klein said thoughtfully, recalling Admitso’s deranged state, “He saw me, then said it wasn’t me. His language was incoherent, and that was all that was useful.”
“What’s certain is that the person Admisor saw was definitely not you; they just appeared in your image before him,” Dunn said thoughtfully, his hands clasped under his chin. “But why would they appear in your image before Admisor? Admisor kept calling your name. Was he frightened, trying to tell you something, or was the other party asking Admisor to find you?”
“Have you been in contact with…” Dunn paused, suddenly realizing that his question might involve Klein’s Red Gloves work. He slowly raised his hand and pinched his brow, pondering and thinking.
“No,” Klein replied, though Dunn’s words were incomplete, he could guess the question: “We have never been in contact.”
If the captain were to reveal the high-sequence sequences he had actually encountered, he might start to suspect that the captain was about to lose control.
But Klein could never tell Dunn. His expression was serious and earnest, showing no sign of guilt or remorse. Dunn didn't suspect anything either, but simply instructed, "Pay attention to any unusual occurrences, and report them as soon as possible."
Dunn tapped the table and said apologetically, "Today is your day off, but I still need you to help me with some things."
“I’m also a night watchman, Captain,” Klein said with a smile.
Dunn smiled and said, "Go home first. Spend some time with your family while you're back. We'll let you know if anything happens."
Klein nodded, said goodbye to his colleagues at Blackthorn Security, and left. It wasn't until he got into the carriage that he remembered he hadn't asked Admitso for the week's debt.
"Never mind..." Klein muttered to himself, "Admisor is in such a state that he can't collect the debt."
……
The carriage slowly came to a stop on Narcissus Street. Klein reached into his pocket and touched the necklace, only to feel an invisible hand gripping his heart tightly.
Klein stood downstairs at the apartment building, looking up—from where he could see the window of his room.
He took a deep breath and stepped into the apartment. Mondays are always busy; students are at school, and gentlemen and ladies are at work. There was no one around, and the apartment was very quiet. Klein could clearly hear his own footsteps, step by step, approaching the door.
wow-
The keys clinked together, making a crisp sound. He precisely selected the key to No. 2 Narcissus Street and inserted it into the lock.

As the key turned, Klein felt the wooden door loosen beneath his hand. With a gentle push, the door opened inward.
Everything is still the same as before.
The scene inside the room instantly came into Klein's view. He could see the newspapers spread out on the sofa, indicating that someone had been reading them not long ago—perhaps Melissa, perhaps Benson. There were still three clean cups on the coffee table, placed upside down on the saucer.
