Cundi Bodhisattva said: "Of course they were alarmed, but the fact that Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva came forward to preside over this matter is enough to show the attitude of all the Buddhas."

The Peacock King nodded, then felt relieved and said, "Venerable, I cannot return to Lingshan now."

"Oh?" asked Guanyin Bodhisattva, "What's the inconvenience?"

A trace of embarrassment appeared on the face of the Peacock King. After a moment, she told the matter of the "body contract" to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.

After hearing this, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva could not help but burst into laughter. Hearing Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's laughter, the Peacock King said, "Venerable, please do not laugh at me."

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Daoist friend, you have worldly desires."

The so-called "mortal thoughts" do not refer specifically to the heart of love, but refer to the fact that the gods and bodhisattvas, who are supposed to be pure and desireless, have given rise to the "delusional hearts" of mortals. The seven emotions and six desires are all worldly thoughts.

"Have I been tempted by worldly desires?" The Peacock King was stunned when he heard this.

Bodhisattva Cundi nodded and said, "The Lingtai Mountain God was innocent, but you insisted on finding out his true colors. This is because you have a delusional mind. The Asura tribe incident happened because you were tempted by worldly desires, so you were blinded by the divine secrets and were unable to detect this matter in advance."

The Peacock Queen suddenly felt a chill all over her body, and a cold sweat broke out from her back. She suddenly understood, "Yes, if the Lingtai Mountain God hadn't asked for the knife, how could Kong Ling be greedy after receiving my decree? How could he have realized in advance that the Heavenly Sin Knife was given to the Great Black Yaksha by Jie Hanli?"

If Zhuang Yan had not asked for the sword, the Big Black Yaksha would have attacked the West Sea as usual, but he would not have revealed that he had the Heavenly Evil Sword in his hand.

“Hoo.” After a moment, the Peacock King came to her senses as if enlightened. She exhaled a breath of foul air, clasped her hands together and bowed, saying, “If it weren’t for the Venerable’s enlightenment, I would have been trapped by my mortal mind and fallen into disaster.”

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Daoist friend, you should return to Lingshan as soon as possible to preside over the affairs of the Asura Department." At this time, the Peacock King had already realized his true nature, and his worldly thoughts had been erased. He became neither sad nor happy, neither shocked nor angry, and his appearance was solemn and dignified, with an empty mind.

"Yes." The Peacock King nodded and said, "After I bid farewell to the Lingtai Mountain God, I will return to Lingshan."

"Good." Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva nodded, and then dispersed the projected Dharma image.

Afterwards, the Peacock King walked out of the monastery and went to the Eight Immortals Pavilion in Danchi Ridge to meet Zhuang Yan again.

Zhuang Yan saw her coming back and couldn't help but smile and said, "Daoist friend Jinque, are you feeling better?"

The Peacock King walked straight to Zhuang Yan and sat down. He then looked at Zhuang Yan and smiled slightly. He then formed a magic seal with his hands, and a fairy light lit up around him.

The moment the fairy light came on, the vitality of the Goldfinch Fairy dissipated at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the Goldfinch Fairy's originally plump and beautiful face turned pale.

As the vitality faded away, the fairy light on the Golden Bird Fairy's body also slowly dissipated. Then the Golden Bird Fairy sat there with her head lowered, and her body had already died.

Zhuang Yan was not surprised to see this scene, but slowly stood up. Then a brilliant Buddhist light suddenly appeared above the Eight Immortals Pavilion.

The next moment, the Buddha's light fell into the pavilion, revealing a Bodhisattva wearing a white silk dress, a colorful crown, a necklace, earrings, and armlets, with a Buddha's light behind his head and a solemn appearance.

Zhuang Yan looked at the body of the Golden Bird Fairy, then at the Bodhisattva in front of him, and immediately bowed and smiled, "The Bodhisattva is finally willing to show his true form to people."

Zhuang Yan of the Peacock Ming Dynasty said: "You have indeed seen through my identity long ago."

Zhuang Yan smiled and said, "Why did the Bodhisattva hide his identity and transform himself into a spirit platform?"

The Peacock King said: "Nothing special, I just want to see the legendary Lingtai Mountain God. It really lives up to his reputation. He deceives people without leaving any traces. Even this poor monk has been fooled."

Zhuang Yan smiled and said, "Are you talking about the jade slips signed with the Dharma Seal? I'm sorry, but since the Bodhisattva has already signed this slip, he cannot break the contract."

The Peacock King smiled and said, "Take out the jade slip and have a look."

Upon hearing this, Zhuang Yan immediately took out the jade slip. However, the moment the jade slip was taken out, it immediately turned into a puff of green smoke and disappeared along with the body of the Golden Bird Fairy.

“Hahaha.” The Peacock King laughed loudly and said, “I have cut off my own Dharma body, and the seal on the jade slip will naturally be destroyed as well.”

Zhuang Yan sighed and said, "Bodhisattva is a Bodhisattva, and indeed, he has great powers."

"How can such a small trick trap me?" The Peacock King said with a smug smile, "Mountain God, please forgive me for not being able to give you the precious sword. As for your ridicule of me, I will not bother with you. Besides, I have to return to Lingshan now, so I'll take my leave first."

Looking at the Peacock King who turned and left, Zhuang Yan immediately said: "Bodhisattva, you can argue with me, but don't argue with Master Lan Caihe. He is not guilty of ignorance."

The Peacock King laughed loudly, then turned around and said in a clear voice: "How could I care about such a small bad word? But the feud has been established. If you do it on the first day, I will do it on the fifteenth. If you ridicule me today, don't blame me for ridiculing you in the future."

After saying this, the Peacock King waved her sleeves and laughed loudly. Then, a flash of Buddha's light appeared under her feet, and she disappeared without a trace in the blink of an eye.

Looking at the Buddha light of the Peacock King leaving, Zhuang Yan stroked his chin and said, "This Bodhisattva is so arrogant even after running away from a loss. I must find an opportunity to trick her again!"
