Chapter 274 Preparation Time
Ryan rushed to the library under Nick's guidance. It was obvious that Madam Pince knew the library very well, and after Ryan asked, she quickly took out several scrolls from the restricted area for him.

"These are what our ancestors left behind, but honestly, I don't think it's a good idea for a wizard to fight with an axe, spear or sword." Madam Pince said to Ryan after taking out the scrolls on a tray.

"Of course, I know. But I think these things may help me improve my alchemy level." Ryan said after taking the scroll on the tray, "After all, no matter what the content of the competition is, I still have to try my best to improve my own strength, and learning alchemy knowledge is a good way to do it."

Ryan spent the rest of the day studying these scrolls. By reading these materials, he learned a lot of new rune combinations, which gave him another candidate to deal with the dragon. It also meant that he had a game plan that did not require him to reveal more abilities. After all, the enemy was hiding in the dark like a venomous snake in the shadows. If he could hide one more trump card at this time, he would have an advantage in the future.

Ryan was not the only one who spent the Halloween holiday in the library. Warriors from two other schools also came to the library to look for information. However, Ryan also found that the consequences of temporarily adding a second warrior had already appeared.

Under the intimidation of the half-giant headmaster, Beauxbatons still maintained superficial peace, but Ryan could see that they formed two small groups with the two warriors as the core. They just gathered together in appearance but not in spirit.

Durmstrang directly exposed this division, dividing the group into two groups, whether reading in the library or eating in the hall. If they were not in Hogwarts at this time, they might have fought. However, judging from the bruises on the faces and hands of some members, these people may have dueled privately.

However, Hogwarts seemed very harmonious. Apart from some brain-dead guys in Slytherin who made a badge insulting Harry (Ryan found that unlike the plot, this badge did not support his own content. It was probably because those purebloods looked down on Ryan, who they considered a mudblood). Apart from showing the outside world that the school was not united, there were no additional conflicts.

After all, one of the two warriors hid in places with few people to read and practice all day, while the other one, who became a warrior inexplicably and was worried about being pointed at by others, simply hid in the dormitory and did not go out.

When the holidays ended and classes began, Harry found himself in an even worse situation, especially after discovering the Slytherin badges. Fortunately, Ginny comforted him when he had no classes.

But these days are good for Ryan, except that he feels a little uncomfortable with the sudden increase in fans.

"When I won the Order of Merlin last time, not many people paid attention to me." One day after walking the blast-tailed skrewts in the Care of Magical Creatures class, Ryan humbly rejected the request for an autograph from a junior Hufflepuff girl and complained to Hermione sitting opposite him in the cafeteria. Because these people really affected his life.

Ryan is not unaccustomed to the feeling of being admired. After all, he has a savior-like status in both the Plants vs. Zombies world and the Fallout world. Naturally, he has gained countless admirers, but those admirers never affect Ryan's daily life.

"After all, the Order of Merlin is too far away from us and too lofty, while selecting the champions of Hogwarts is something that happens around us. People will always care about things that are closely related to themselves." Hermione said as she put down the cup of pumpkin juice.

"Okay, you're right, but I always feel like the guy wearing sunglasses who was surrounded by people at the London Zoo." Ryan shrugged.

"It would be more like that if you were sitting there eating bamboo," Hermione quipped.

The afternoon class was Potions, and a fight broke out right outside the door of the Potions classroom because of the insulting badge. Potter drew out his wand and started fighting with Malfoy. Ryan was late because he had read for a while at noon, and when he arrived at the door of the Potions classroom, he saw a beam of light flying towards him.

"Stop the curse!" Ryan subconsciously raised his wand. The beam of light shot out from his wand just canceled out the beam of light coming from the opposite side. Only Goyle was injured in this attack, and naturally, Professor Snape, who came to deal with the problem, deducted 50 points from Gryffindor.

In short, this conflict made the atmosphere in the classroom very bad. Fortunately, before the class started for long, Colin Creevey notified Ryan and Harry to go upstairs to take pictures.

Colin kept chattering around Harry and asking him questions all the way until they reached the stairs. He didn't quiet down until they reached the door of the room.

It was a small classroom, and most of the desks had been pushed to the back of the room, leaving a large empty space in the middle. However, there were three desks that were placed next to each other in front of the blackboard, and they were covered with a long piece of velvet. Behind the velvet-covered desks were five chairs, and in one of them sat Ludo Bagman, who was talking to a witch that Alan had never seen before.

The witch was wearing a magenta robe, her hair was arranged in delicate, stiff, weird curls, her thick and fat fingers were holding a crocodile leather handbag, her nails were two inches long and painted red. Although he had never seen her before, Ryan almost recognized who she was by looking at the clothes and the things in her hands.

Rita Skeeter is a journalist who is good at making up stories. She can make up countless pieces of negative information from your ordinary words, and the fabrication level of the automatic feather pen in her hand is even better than that of others. Because the monotonous life in the wizarding world is too monotonous, countless people are looking forward to this reporter sharing the new stories she has just made up with them.

Bagman began to announce what was to be done when he saw that everyone had arrived. "We must check that your wands are fully functional and in good condition, because your wand will be your most important piece of equipment in the upcoming competition events," he said. "The expert is upstairs with Dumbledore. Then we will take some photos. This is Rita Skeeter," he said, pointing to the witch in magenta robes. "She is writing a short article about the tournament for the Daily Prophet..."

A small article? Ryan thought Bagman was a little too optimistic. The man in front of him could write a best-selling novel of hundreds of thousands of words with all kinds of attractive elements in just one sentence. To be honest, with such a talent, why not imitate Lockhart and become a star? It feels like a waste of talent to be a reporter.

Fortunately, she had already found her prey. Just as Ryan was silently complaining in his heart, Rita Skeeter took the initiative to attack.

"Before we begin, could I have a word with Harry?" she asked Bagman, keeping her eyes firmly fixed on him. "Youngest Champion, you know… to spice things up a bit."

She stared at Harry with the look in her eyes that a beast would give to a rabbit.

Harry was still too inexperienced and foolishly agreed to the interview request. Then Rita pulled him into a small cubicle where brooms were stored and began a one-on-one interview. Ryan could only pray for Harry silently at this time, hoping that there would not be too many explosive news in tomorrow's newspaper.
