Chapter 231 Failed Lawsuit

Spending a whole day in Hogsmeade was indeed a pleasant experience, but this good mood did not last until the end of the day. As soon as Hermione put down the package after returning to Gryffindor Tower, she received a letter from Hagrid.

"A letter from Hagrid? Ah, I remember now. Today is the day his Hippogriff goes to London for trial. Maybe this is the verdict of the trial." After saying that, Hermione unfolded the letter and placed it on the coffee table and read it with Ryan.

The parchment was wet, and large tears had blurred the ink, making it hard to read in places. Dear Hermione, We lost. I am allowed to take it back to Hogwarts. The date of the execution is to be determined. Buckbeak loves London. I will never forget all the help you have given us.

"It's indeed inappropriate for Hagrid to bring the Hippogriff to the third grade class, but this teaching accident was not solely his fault. In particular, Malfoy disobeyed Hagrid's instructions and deliberately violated the rules after his explanation, so he should be the main party at fault. How can all the mistakes be put on Buckbeak? So Buckbeak should not be executed." Hermione said after quickly reading the letter.

"Malfoy's father basically controls the committee. They will do whatever he tells them to do." Ryan replied. "You know he has a lot of power in the wizarding world. The committee is a group of people who are completely marginalized in the Ministry of Magic. How could they turn against them because of a hippogriff? Although you can appeal, I think it's basically impossible to solve the problem through litigation."

"So what should we do?" Hermione's tone sounded a little helpless. After all, watching an innocent life pass away without being able to do anything is always a very bad thing.

"I think we can use a less legal method," Ryan said in a low voice. "As far as I know, according to the Ministry of Magic's procedures, the final appeal will be made directly to the school. Hai Ge's place is very close to the Forbidden Forest. We can ask Wolfe to help us find some friends, and once the final verdict comes out, we can directly ask his friends to let Buckbeak go."

"Will this not affect Wolfe?" Hermione was a little happy at first, but soon became worried. "We shouldn't involve our friends because of our affairs."

"I can ask him about this." Ryan patted the back of her hand to comfort her. "If possible, ask him for help. If not, we can think of other ways."

After making an appointment with Wolfe in the Emerald Dream that night, Hermione and I met Wolfe coming out of the Forbidden Forest during the break at noon the next day.

"Thank you for the beef-flavored candies." Wolfe said as he ate the gift Ryan bought for him at Honeydukes. "By the way, what did you come to see me for?"

"This is what's going on. There's a hippogriff named Buckbeak who may be innocently killed. I just want to ask if you have any way to find help to save it?" Hermione asked quickly from the side.

"Where will they kill the poor animal? If it's too far away, there's nothing we can do." It seemed that Wolfe also took this matter very seriously. He quickly stopped chewing and asked seriously.

"It's right at Hagrid's hut, on the edge of the Forbidden Forest," Ryan replied.

"That's no problem. I know a lot of friends among the centaurs. All we have to do is mobilize them when the time comes."

"This won't put you in danger, will it?" Hermione asked worriedly.

"No, don't worry. Those humans will never kill the unicorns. Ryan helped the unicorns a lot last time, and this time it is to save an innocent life. I think the unicorns should be willing to help." Wolf nodded and said.

"Thank you! Thank you!" Ryan and the other two hurriedly thanked them excitedly, because they knew that unicorns were very shy magical animals, and their willingness to help in this situation was beyond their expectations. "Then let's wait for a while and make detailed arrangements after the specific situation is determined." Wolfe concluded.

Because of this good news, Ryan and Hermione went to Hagrid's hut after dinner to inquire about the details of the trial. Of course, since Hagrid is a man of temperament, they decided to keep their action plan secret.

I knocked on the door of the hut, and after a long while Hagrid opened the door with a sad face. "Oh, it's you two. Come in and sit down."

After serving tea and snacks to the two, Hagrid sank weakly into the sofa. "It's all my fault this time. I was tongue-tied and couldn't speak. They all sat there gloomily in black robes. I missed some things when I was describing the cases you looked up for me, Hermione. At the beginning, some people sitting there nodded slightly. Then Lucius Malfoy stood up and spoke, and the committee did exactly what he asked..."

At this point Hagrid buried his face in his handkerchief and started crying again. Ryan quickly stepped forward and patted his arm to comfort him. "Didn't you say there is still one more chance to appeal? We still have a chance."

"No, I really won't." Hagrid sniffed loudly. "I know from today's trial that the committee is completely under the command of Lucius Malfoy. So now I can only guarantee that Beak will live the happiest days of his life before he dies. After all, I owe it this..."

"It looks like the situation is very serious now. We can only take measures other than litigation to save Buckbeak." After coming out of Hagrid, Hermione said to Ryan on the way.

"I remember that you used to be the one who followed the rules the most. Why are you willing to use, um - methods outside the rules this time?" Ryan asked in a joking tone.

"But the problem is that Malfoy doesn't intend to follow the rules. In this case, I think it's okay to take some unconventional measures to save an innocent life." Hermione said solemnly.

It seems that after going through so much, everyone will change.

After returning to the tower, they had planned to tell Harry and the others about the content of the interrogation. After all, it was Harry and Ron who first offered to help Hagrid when Ryan and the others were studying in Brazil.

But after searching the tower, they couldn't find any sign of Harry, so they had no choice but to take their textbooks and materials to the library to study.

It was not until the next morning when he read the Daily Prophet dropped by owl at breakfast that Ryan learned that Sirius had appeared on the streets of Hogsmeade at dinner yesterday afternoon. Before being sent to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, he insisted on supporting his body and asked the villagers to notify the school to let him meet his godson Harry Potter.

Finally, he fainted due to exhaustion, and Harry, accompanied by Professor McGonagall, went to St. Mungo's to visit his godfather.

At least this was better than the original story, Ryan thought to himself after reading the contents of the newspaper.
