The next day was Saturday. After getting out of bed and drawing open the curtains, Ryan was bathed in the golden sunlight.
Today he was going to Hogsmeade, which was also his first time to go to Hogsmeade this school year. He had not been there the last few times because he was an exchange student in Brazil. This made Ryan a little excited, because before this he had never visited this wizarding commercial center that was comparable to Diagon Alley, and he wanted to see what the difference was between this place and the movies in his previous life.
When he finished packing and came to the common room, he saw the Weasley twins and Ron, who looked very excited. Ron in particular seemed to have recovered from the bad mood of losing his mouse.
Because Professor Dumbledore had not allowed Ryan and the others to tell the story, Ryan and Percy could only tell Ron that the mouse was temporarily borrowed by Professor Dumbledore.
After greeting each other, everyone went to the restaurant to have breakfast. When Ryan was drinking milk, a large group of owls flew over from the ceiling. After a while, he heard the discussion around him getting louder and louder, and in the end it was as noisy as if he was in the middle of a Quidditch match.
What happened? Ryan looked at the students around him curiously. At this time, Li Jordan held up the Daily Prophet and shouted, "Oh my God, Sirius was wronged. And the one who discovered this was a student of our college."
"What, is this true?" "Who is it?" "What's going on?" Now all the students knew about this matter, and they started talking to each other.
"Hey, I never thought that it was our rigid eldest brother and you who did such a big thing." Ryan felt someone patted his shoulder. He turned around and found that it was the Weasley brothers standing behind him.
Only after taking the newspaper from the Weasley brothers did Ryan know what had happened. The newspaper said that under the wise leadership of Minister Fudge, the Ministry of Magic decided to clear up old suspicious cases according to the law.
Amelia Bones, the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, listened to the doubts reported by two Hogwarts students during her visit to Hogwarts, and finally successfully captured Peter Pettigrew, a lackey of Voldemort lurking in the school, and cleared Sirius Black of suspicion of crime.
Minister Fudge claimed in an interview in the morning that the Ministry of Magic was working hard to correct its past shortcomings and mistakes so that it could better lead the development of the British wizarding world. He also called on everyone to find Sirius as soon as possible and tell him that the Ministry's misjudgment had been corrected, that he was now free and could obtain the Ministry's apology.
"Turning bad things into good things is something that the bureaucrats in the Ministry of Magic can do." Ryan sneered at the article in the Daily Prophet. However, there was some useful information in the subsequent report.
Such as announcing a reward for the Hogwarts students Percy and Lion who helped, as well as recalling all Dementors and ending the curfew at Hogsmeade.
"At least those annoying Dementors are gone, that's good news." The twins said with a smile.
Ryan also received a prompt from the system: 20 deviation points were obtained for changing Sirius' fate. It seems that the rewards for the things he did to help Sirius get rid of the crime were not small.
The news this morning spread quickly throughout the school. When Ryan walked towards the front door after lunch, he could feel many people looking at him.
"The book Wizarding Monuments says that the village inn was the headquarters of the monster rebellion in 1612, and that the Shrieking Shack may be the most haunted house in the whole of Britain—" Hermione muttered beside Ryan while waiting in line for inspection. "Okay, relax a little. You have been busy with the reading club recently. You should know that the best way to do things is to combine work and rest. It is not a good idea to be busy all the time." Ryan persuaded.
Hogsmeade is a very beautiful little village, and the historical sites there are not as professional as Ryan had imagined. Come to think of it, there are not that many people in the magic world. If it is made into a very professional museum, probably few people will come to see it.
For example, the historically very important goblin rebellion headquarters in the small hotel has only a small room to restore its original appearance, plus a small bronze plaque next to it engraved with the whole story of the incident.
So they finished visiting these historical sites very quickly, and Ryan and his friend spent the rest of the time wandering around the entire Hogsmeade village. The Davis and Bans stores, the Fengya brand wizard clothing store, the Wenrenju feather pen shop, and the post office with hundreds of owls left a deep impression on them.
After having a light meal at the Three Broomsticks and trying the famous Butterbeer (everyone around was cheering for the Dementors to go away), they followed the road in front of the Three Broomsticks up a slope and came to the Shrieking Shack. It must be said that Butterbeer is indeed a good thing. Even though the wind was a little strong on the slope due to the high geographical location, their clothes rustled, but they could still feel the Butterbeer they had just drunk made their bodies very warm.
The Shrieking Shack was located on a small rise above the other houses in the village. The windows were boarded up and the garden was damp and overgrown with weeds, making it unsettling to see even in broad daylight.
While Hermione was leaning against the fence and looking up at the haunted house, Ryan picked up a sharp stone and carved the word "dog" on the pillar next to the garden door of the haunted house. According to the plan discussed with Black in the common room last time, once Ryan successfully exonerated Black's wrongful conviction, he would carve this word on the pillar next to the door of the Shrieking Shack to tell Black that he could appear in the public eye again.
After carving the words, Ryan and his friends quickly followed the path back to the village. After all, the Shrieking Shack wasn't much to look at from the outside. When passing by Zonko's Joke Shop, they could see Ron and his two twin brothers buying all kinds of joke products.
"Maybe wizards' magic limits their imagination. I've never figured out what's so fun about throwing stinky dung balls at each other." Hermione complained as she watched Ron and his twin brother buy a bunch of dung balls.
"This may be a custom similar to the traditional Scottish custom of men not wearing underwear and wearing plaid skirts." Ryan guessed as he walked along the road. Finally, they came to the door of another store. "Here we are. This is Honeydukes Candy Store. I saw in the student handbook that we are allowed to buy candies that do not have obvious magical effects when eaten to our immediate family members. I want to buy some for my parents."
"Can I bring it to my parents? Then I want to buy some too," said Hermione.
When they walked in, they saw shelf after shelf filled with the most fascinating candies imaginable: huge blocks of buttery peanut brittle, slabs of shimmering pink coconut ice cream, hundreds of different kinds of chocolate neatly arranged, a huge tub of every-flavored bean, a tub of Fizz Bees.
And against the wall were various candies with "special effects": Blowing Treasure Super Bubble Gum, strange shattered Fluffy Teeth Mints, tiny Black Pepper Urchins, Ice Rats, Cream Mints shaped like toads, crunchy sugar quills, and exploding bonbons.
The two stayed in the store for an hour, and when they finally returned to school, Ryan and Hermione each brought a large bag of candy. It can be said that today's trip to Hogsmeade was very fruitful.
