Then, before reaching the next intersection, turn left to prepare to enter the school's side gate.

The door was closed, but Uesugi Genshin saw students standing at the entrance of the building in the distance.

He waved over there, beckoning them to come over.

After seeing the car coming from across the street, the person turned around, spoke to the people inside the building, and then came out, followed by a girl.

Uesugi Genshin and Hachiman waited in the truck for the gate to open, and once it did, they drove the truck into the campus.

"Ah, seniors, you're finally back." The girl greeted them.

"Iroha Isshiki?"

"Bingo~"

Uesugi Genshin was surprised that she used the word "finally," wasn't she waiting for this?

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"It was Yukinoshita-senpai who asked me to bring you here as soon as I see you."

"I understand." It seems there's something urgent.

"Ah! Are all of these fish?"

A fishy smell wafted from the car; upon closer inspection, it was all fish!

Isshiki Iroha shook her head, gently bending her neck, her flaxen hair flowing down to her fair neck.

"Yes."

Uesugi Genshin and Hachiman handed the baseball bat to the boy, picked up their bags, and walked into the special building.

She caught up with him, brushed the hair smeared with lipstick from her lips with her fingers, and continued to ask.

"Huh? Did the seniors bring all of these back?"

"Yes."

"The seniors were good people."

These words caused Uesugi Genshin and Hachiman to stop in their tracks and turn to look at Isshiki Iroha who was following behind them.

"Huh? Did I say something weird?" She winked playfully, looking as cute as an idol.

You are the sweet bullet!

"Stop calling him a good person," Uesugi Genshin finally reminded him.

Hachiman calmly turned his head, and at first glance, it seemed as if he had a cold smile on his lips, but in reality, he just had a dead fish eye and his usual expressionless face.

Since they've already put on a mask, what does it matter whether the other person is inherently kind? It's correct to identify them as a fake.

“Ha…” Isshiki Iroha sighed in bewilderment.

Uesugi Genshin and Hachiman continued walking forward, and Isshiki Iroha followed them.

"What do you think Yukino wants from us?"

"Who knows? But she'll probably be happy if I show her the things in the car." That's exactly what they mean by taking credit.

"Ah, seniors, I think I know something," Isshiki Iroha said from behind, her voice full of energy.

"what?"

"Some students have already left the school."

"What!" Uesugi Genshin looked at Hachiman, who was also staring wide-eyed.

"..." Hachiman felt somewhat helpless.

There is no justification for restricting the freedom of others; this is written in the law. However, authorities have the power to act in special circumstances.

However, because it is written into law, even in some free countries, the government is still powerless to change it.

"Under the snow..." Uesugi Genshin stopped himself from saying what he was about to say.

No, even Yukino Yukinoshita couldn't stop it. If they tried to stop it by force, it would become an act of violence, which they had no legal basis or justification for as a mere student council.

Because Linhai is far from the city center, the streets around Zongwu High School are very clean, so clean that they seem safe, which gives people a false impression.

There's a misconception that being careful will lead to a safe return home, and with someone guiding or encouraging you, you're bound to do something foolish.

But this is the Tokyo metropolitan area, specifically Chiba City in Chiba Prefecture!

"What should we do?" Uesugi Genshin continued forward into the building.

"How about leaving the zombies at the door?" Hachiman suggested a good idea.

"Seniors..." Isshiki Iroha said speechlessly from behind.

However, when they arrived at the student council room, they found that only Shiromaru was there.

"Ah, welcome back." Shirowari greeted the returning warrior with a sunflower-like smile, and the soft light shone warmly on the visitor at the door.

"Shiromaki-senpai, what about Yukinoshita?" Uesugi Genshin asked.

She is...

"Ah..." came Isshiki Iroha's exclamation from behind.

Uesugi Genshin stepped back and looked down into the corridor where the sound had come from. The person was already standing in front of him. It was either Hayama Hayato's follower, Yamato or Ooka, a tall, burly man.

"Where is Vice President Yukinoshita?"

"Not here," Hachiman replied.

"What's wrong?" Uesugi Genshin grabbed his arm and asked.

“No, Hayato saw people leaving and tried to persuade them to come back, then he went to the main gate.” He was panting heavily, clearly having run there.

"Idiot." What should Hachiman say in this situation?

"You!" This guy glared at Hachiman, as if to say, "What right do you have to say that? Does he think Hachiman is talking about Hayato Hayama?"

Shiromaki-senpai, who was also inside, replied, "Yukinoshita is in the classroom upstairs, trying to persuade everyone to calm down."

Should we go through them one by one?

"Hachiman, go check on Yukinoshita, I'll go to the main gate."

"Okay." Hachiman replied simply and headed towards the stairs.

"Who are you?"

"Yamato." The big one is Yamato.

"Come with me to the main gate."

“Okay.” Yamato clearly considered Uesugi Genshin as a member of the student council as well.

"Ah, senpai~" Was he asking her what to do? Had she completed Yukinoshita's mission?

Her tone was almost like she was being coquettish, which was really adorable.

Thinking of something, Uesugi Genshin tossed the car keys to Isshiki Iroha, "Here, the keys. Give them to Yukinoshita later."

“Tell her to make a big fuss about it; it’s a good opportunity to boost your reputation,” he instructed. “You should also go and help out then.”

Incidentally, Isshiki Iroha, as a representative of the first-year students, is also a useful person who can be trained.

"Oh, oh." Iroha Isshiki hurriedly caught the car keys, staring dumbfounded at her senior who seemed to be talking about something incredible.

Uesugi Genshin handed her the bag he was carrying as well, saying, "Here you go."

Then, Uesugi Genshin started running, but he left Yamato far behind.

When we got to the door, we realized that the situation was a complete mess!

The zombies in the distant building have been lured out sporadically. Don't expect any place to be deserted; even he tries to choose to exit through the side door.

There are people there! They just aren't wandering around the streets anymore.

However, those guys pulling and tugging at each other on the road were clearly unaware of the approaching danger.

The students at the entrance weren't there; they were standing over there.

I ran down the stairs in twos and threes and headed towards the door.

Are you trying to say you did nothing wrong?

"?"

Uesugi Genshin, who was nearby, overheard this and thought, "They really are arguing!"

"Hayama! Can you stop pretending to be so self-righteous?" The man shoved Hayama Hayato, whose face was kind but whose expression was stiff.

Even Hayama Hayato wouldn't do something like offering a friendly face to a cold backside. The reason he didn't retort is simply because he has high moral character.

"I didn't think that way at all. I hope everyone can observe and consider it carefully." At this point, he was still trying to make an effort.

"Wait and see? That's advice, and I'm not going to listen. Okay? Move aside! I want to go back! Are you going to stop me?"

"The zombies are out! Hurry back to school!"

As he passed by Hayama Hayato, Uesugi Genshin patted him on the shoulder as a reminder, then snatched the wooden stick from the person next to him—a stick that was clearly just for show, since he probably wouldn't swing it anyway.

"Ah!" The girl standing next to her was so startled that she took a few steps back and fell to the ground.

"Are you alright?" Hayama Hayato asked, helping her up.

The girl clung tightly to Hayama Hayato's shoulders, cowering backward in terror, her legs kicking wildly.

The group noticed something was wrong, looked ahead, and saw several zombies running out of the building.

Uesugi Genshin gripped the staff with both hands and stabbed the two clearly out of sync charging at the front. But then he suddenly thought of an old movie.

Who says you can't kill someone without a gun barrel?

That won't kill anyone! You bastard!

Coming to the shelves.

The initial inspiration for writing this book came from browsing a young adult comic called "The Lone Hero of the Apocalypse" one day (laughs). I immediately developed a strong interest in this genre, but I couldn't find many similar books, especially in recent years. I've also read a few similar works by predecessors on Tmall, all of which were very interesting, but then things gradually started to wander off-topic...

Actually, what I originally wanted to write was an infinite flow novel, starting from Sword Art Online, then moving on to Fate, Tokyo Ghoul, DanMachi, and Godkiller... I've had this idea for many years, but I haven't started writing it yet. In the end, I wrote this book first because it would be too late if I didn't.

Once, I was chatting with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time, and we talked about how kids these days watch Chinese animation. The kids in my neighborhood, and his relatives' kids, all only watch Chinese animation now. I sighed and said, "Please, please!" He replied with empathy, "Please, please let them watch Japanese animation instead."

Like I said, Tokyo Ghoul ended a few years ago. I like some of the female characters with rich backstories, but I can't guarantee anyone would want to watch it. Campione is an even older anime; its story is about killing a god to seize one of the god's mythological powers, a very interesting concept to me. However, it's a pity I crossed those two out. Looking back, I found my outline's logic had become somewhat chaotic.

A new OVA for Oregairu was released, and although it received a lot of criticism, as someone who genuinely loves the characters, I'm still very happy about it. I just don't know how many years its popularity will last; Classroom of the Three Kingdoms has also gotten a second season...

As someone who has been reading novels for 10 years, I was initially fascinated by books like "Battle Through the Heavens" and read them day and night. In the middle, I also read some light novels on a certain platform for several years without feeling tired at all. Finally, on a friend's recommendation, I downloaded "Cat".

Ten years have passed, and my tastes have actually been changing. I've gradually become tired of the concept of mindless enjoyment. I haven't read Lu Xun's books much in recent years. For the past two years, I've been looking for books that can write about enjoyment in a more refreshing way, and this tendency is reflected in my own book.

I dislike plots where women are mindlessly "given away" to men. This makes "important" female characters seem cheap. They are clearly charming characters, but in the end, they only become background figures to highlight the male protagonist. They can't even be called good wives. This is cruel. I especially like this aspect of Yukino Yukinoshita.

I wanted to portray the characters in a three-dimensional way, with an underlying logic to their actions. Since the male protagonist is Hachiman's close friend, he should share traits that match that. Many people dislike Aki Tomoya, including other male characters, for various reasons, including myself. However, when I re-examined this character, I came to respect him, because I can't guarantee I'm better than Aki Tomoya in certain areas. In fact, he's already a well-known blogger and has founded a game enthusiast club, while my outline has remained on paper for years. So, I treated him kindly. And Hayama Hayato—why dislike him? He's a saint destined to be single forever (sadly).

The book's title, on the surface, is actually a combination of "Saekano: How to Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" and "Aoharu Monogatari," primarily referencing these three anime series. However, since I'm going to write this... gentlemen, while I like Ai Hayasaka and Honami Ichinose, I can't possibly write a separate book just for them. At the same time, I'm also mindful of a crucial logical flaw I deeply remember: Western fantasy can never include elements of Eastern cultivation or fantasy, so these are all just slice-of-life anime.

Another meaning of "passerby" is the male protagonist, who was just a passerby in his previous lives, but in this life he is determined to live well. Hmm, suddenly it feels a bit like Mushoku Tensei (a Japanese reincarnation novel). As a coming-of-age story, I wanted to write it in a lighthearted way, rather than like a post-apocalyptic cockroach story.

I don't expect everyone to like my book; it's just a story I want to write. As some experienced readers have said, those who criticize you won't read your book, and it might even deter potential readers. Therefore, I will delete any reviews that truly negatively impact the reading experience. If you are still reading my book but have been banned by me, please message me privately, and I will unban you.

Finally, I also dislike the author's tendency to comment directly, like taking time off to pick up their child from a wedding banquet. I'm not targeting anyone in particular, but it gives off a sense of worldly-wise and greasy living. Reality, upon closer examination, is heavy, but life is a continuous pursuit of hope, which is why there are otaku! Anime is beautiful, and there's no need to mix it with reality; it's easy to get detached from the story. The same applies to the negativity in reality, and I will try my best to avoid that.

I doubt anyone will read the author's note, but even though I've been very busy lately and have some things to do in the second half of the year, I'll still be updating at a rapid pace for a while after the book goes live. And then...and then...

Chapter 42: What exactly are they doing?

The fallen zombies crawled on the ground like snakes, their fingers scratching the cracked earth. However, they felt no pain, which made it easier for them to inflict pain and wounds on their prey.

Uesugi Genshin kicked one of them away, his shoe stained with blood, but apart from the pain in his own foot, it did not cause any fatal damage.
