"Children of the wind god, remember forever:"

All living beings come from the wind, and will also go with the wind.

This is the most famous sentence in the West Wind Church Bible.

—The wind god Barbatos has truly manifested himself!

Yura looked up in surprise and saw the statue smiling at her.

Everything has a name, so let me compose a song using your name. And I ask for your friendship in return.

The God of Wind made this declaration.

This is something everyone knows: the dialogue between Barbatos and Vanessa in the song "The Legend of Vanessa" is also the pact between the wind god and his servant.

Offering one's name to the god of wind is a symbol of becoming a member of his household.

Yura turned around and looked at the stage—her gaze met Han Fulai's in mid-air, and Han Fulai nodded at her.

He really didn't lie to me...

Yura gave her name: "Yura Lawrence".

The idol's wings fluttered, and a feather of light drifted down from the deity's wings, landing squarely on her forehead.

On her back, the "Ice Mark" suddenly revealed its form—the mark, which should have been shaped like a sword blade, now had a pair of wings symbolizing the wind.

Barbatos not only manifested himself, but also bestowed upon her, the "sinner descendant" of the Lawrence family, a mark symbolizing the presence of the wind god's kin!

However, in reality, the mark had already changed on the day of the trial. Wendy, who was hiding in the crowd, was simply using his illusion magic to create some eye-catching effects.

"I have accepted your friendship and gained your fame, so naturally I should sing for your freedom."

"When I smell the fragrance of flowers and hear the rustling of trees, I am singing a song of freedom, a song of the wind."

The ethereal voice concluded with these two sentences, the light of the statue gradually faded, and the wings of the wind transformed once more into a warm east wind, gently caressing everyone's face.

The green-clad bard, with a smile on his face, adjusted his hat and quietly disappeared into the crowd.

Hmm, he just used up the East Wind Feather that was pinned to his hat; he'll have to go find Dvalin and get another one…

The crowd at the scene only then realized what was happening.

It is unknown who first uttered the cry of "Holy Maiden of the Wind," but gradually, the calls for "Holy Maiden" rose like a tidal wave.

Many devout believers flocked to the statue of the wind god, seemingly hoping to receive blessings from the wind god's retinue.

From a "sinner" whom everyone avoided like the plague, to a "saint" whom everyone adored...

For the first time tonight, Yura showed signs of panic.

She truly didn't know how to deal with these seemingly crazy people. In fact, she had never imagined what becoming a "Saint of Mondstadt" would entail—but now she did. In this country steeped in faith, the price of becoming a "saint" was far more troubling than that of being an "idol."

She looked towards the stage again.

There, someone helped her many times, and he was always able to help her.

But Yura's pleading gaze was lost in the vast emptiness; there was no one left on the stage at this moment.

The leader of the troupe, Jean, reacted quickly enough. The moment someone shouted "Saintess," she led Kaiya and the others down to maintain order. However, it would probably take some time to calm the excited audience down...

Yura was momentarily at a loss.

She knows how to deal with enemies and how to scare off provocateurs, but she's never dealt with "fans"...

Just then, something landed on her back.

It was a black formal suit.

"Put it on quickly." The owner of the suit turned his head to the side, not looking at her.

It seems he's very concerned about her wet clothes... or perhaps he's concerned about others seeing her wet?

Then Yura saw him reach out his hand to her.

"Can you still run?"

She took his hand.

"If I say I can't run anymore, will you carry me on your back?"

"will not."

The person immediately refused.

But Yura could feel that he had applied more force to his hand, as if he was assessing whether he had enough arm strength...

Yura smiled.

"Then I'll remember this grudge."

Han Fulai once mocked the image of celebrities on TV surrounded by bodyguards, thinking it was just showing off.

But judging from his experience acting as a "saint's bodyguard" last night, setting up a human wall to separate enthusiastic fans was definitely a necessary measure.

When faced with enthusiastic crowds, you can neither hit nor scold them; without setting up a human wall to separate them, it's really impossible to move.

So... he activated the Jade Shield.

This is probably a use that Zhongli never thought of when he invented the Jade Shield.

In short, under the protection of the Jade Shield, the two made a "victorious escape" and successfully fled from the crowd.

After escaping the square, the second half of the story involves Yura pulling him along.

Then, they ran all the way to the Knights.

The Knights' dormitory is the safest place for Yura right now. Besides, Yura's clothes are wet and she left her shoes at the venue because of dancing. She really should go back to the dormitory to change her clothes.

Since the Knights had all gone to the Highland Plaza, the headquarters gates were tightly closed, and no one opened them for them.

But after circling around the Knights' gate, they discovered that a window was open.

That window happened to be located in the corner where they had initially agreed to pretend to be a couple.

Whether this can be considered some kind of "fate" or not, it seems that Mona, the part-time library assistant, just forgot to check the doors and windows today.

Well, now no one would ever imagine that the "runaway saintess" would sneak home through a window like a thief...

And so they entered the Knights' Order without any trouble and made their way back to Yura's dormitory.

Actually, Han Fulai should have left after dropping the person off at the dormitory.

But Yura didn't let him leave, and he himself hadn't thought of leaving.

The dormitory building was empty and so quiet that you could hear each other's breathing and heartbeats.

There is a psychological theory called the "suspension bridge effect," which states that when a person's heart rate increases due to their environment, and they happen to meet another person at that moment, they may mistakenly interpret the increased heart rate caused by the environment as the other person making them fall in love.

Han Fulai didn't know if this counted as the "suspension bridge effect," but he knew his heart was beating faster and faster.

When Yura pulled him into the dormitory, his heart rate reached the highest it had ever been in his life.

He couldn't remember what he said to Yura, or perhaps they didn't say anything at all that night.

He didn't remember how he hugged Yura, or perhaps it was Yura who hugged him.

He only remembered that they craved each other's lips and tongues, as if they wanted to leave their mark on each other.

Yura's body was pressed against his chest, taut like a bowstring. Even though there was a layer of clothing between them, he could still clearly feel the touch pressing against his chest.

It is smooth and supple, yet incredibly firm and upright, making it almost impossible to resist the urge to reach out and grasp it.

The sweet scent emanating from Yura grew stronger, mixed with a thin layer of sweat that smelled like fresh algae, which completely shattered his already dwindling rationality.

So he followed his instincts.

The lamplight dims like a dream, the moon hangs low, and the winding path leads to a secluded paradise.

The fragrance of fine grass wafts through the cave entrance, while a wisp of cloud, heavy with rain, casts a shadow on the pavilion's flowers.

The jade pestle, used to pound frost, struggles with its weight; the Milky Way, used to wash brocade, tests its depth.

Two thousand six hundred events of tonight, recalling them once more will surely bring tears to my eyes.

The next morning, Han Fulai woke up at about the same time as usual.

Before him was a ceiling printed with rose patterns.

Such patterns only appear in the mansions of the old Mondstadt nobles... and in the knightly orders whose history is as old as that of the nobles.

This is the Knights' dormitory.

...and it's a girls' dormitory.

The dormitory owner was lying in his arms.

Soft blue hair gently brushed against his arm, like a satisfied cat.

Han Fulai moved his slightly numb arm and met a pair of beautiful pale golden eyes.

Yura has also woken up.

Yura stared at him intently, as if waiting for him to speak.

Han Fulai, however, did not know what to say.

Saying "I'll take responsibility" makes it seem like he never intended to take responsibility in the first place.

He said, "Come back to Liyue with me"? Then why did he go to all that trouble to promote Yura as the "Saintess of Mondstadt"?

But he couldn't stay in Mondstadt with Yura either; someone in Liyue was waiting for him to return. However, leaving Mondstadt like this would make him seem incredibly heartless and ungrateful…

Last night's events were sudden for him; in fact, he wasn't prepared for anything to happen, but it all just happened naturally.

He didn't regret it, but he was troubled, troubled about how to make Yura not feel regret either...

Seeing that he remained silent for a long time, Yura pouted slightly, as if she was dissatisfied.

Seeing this, Han Fulai had no more hesitation and said what he most wanted to say to Yura.

"Wait for me, I will come back to marry you."

Yura paused for a moment, then suddenly laughed, a bright and unusually radiant laugh.

“Idiot, at a time like this you should say 'Good morning,' and then…”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

"Add another good morning kiss."

"That's enough."

Han Fulai returned the kiss with one of his own.

"Yes, my Fair Lord."

Volume 4 Summary (We've already written three million words, aren't you going to subscribe?)

Long-time readers know that I've been writing this book for almost two years, maintaining a stable update schedule and consistent quality. I'm a rare, conscientious author in this notorious "pigeon-lover's nest" (a place known for its slow updates). The book's performance has also been relatively stable, neither outstanding nor dismal, managing to make it onto the monthly ticket and bestseller lists during peak periods.

Although my readers are very silent (really, very silent... on average, only 1 out of 100 people posts), I am still very grateful to those who are willing to silently subscribe and support me.

Last month, my mother was hospitalized and my grandmother passed away, forcing me to stop updating for over half a month. And in this no-contact environment, readers' tolerance for a break is indeed very low… Losing favorites is a minor issue; the main problem is the drop in reader engagement, which hasn't recovered even after I resumed updating. I understand that some readers might abandon a story or wait for a long break, but losing hundreds of reader engagements at once really affects an author's writing mindset…

So I hope that readers who have read this far will try their best to continue reading and support me. Thank you very much.

Also, I'd like to mention again that the old readers' group has been overwhelmed. The group number for the new readers' group is in the work-related information and comments section, but I just hope it won't be overwhelmed again...

The following is the usual summary, mainly divided into three parts: timeline, plot and characters, and writing notes. As always, there are spoilers; readers who haven't finished reading Volume 4 should proceed with caution.

This is the dividing line for the summary.

Volume 4 is mainly divided into four major chapters: Mona's Legendary Quest and the Extinction of the Stars, Snow Mountain and Black Dragon (The Real and Fake Abedo), Yura's Legendary Quest, and the Badminton Festival.

Totaling nearly a million words, it covers all aspects of Mondstadt, while the thread running through the entire story is the important secret of the Teyvat continent, "The False Heaven".

The Mondstadt arc is an important chapter that fills in the gaps in the Teyvat universe. It provides in-depth interpretations of many of the deep secrets of the Teyvat continent, and many secrets about Venti, one of the original seven gods, are also revealed in this arc. I believe readers who have read it will appreciate this.

I. Timeline
