Type-Moon: Shinji Matou Also Wants to Be the Protagonist

Jellal is the son of Faust, a prince of the Kingdom of Edolas, and Erza's childhood friend and lover!

Using Gerald's name as a password—that's true love!

The instant Mavis disappeared, a claw-shaped wind blade pierced through that spot.

This is a ranged attack launched by Faust as he controls the steel dragon.

Moreover, Faust's attacks have not stopped.

The teleportation distance of 【Sky-Piercing Slash】has a limit; it cannot teleport over extremely long distances.

Therefore, after Mebius appeared, he was still within Faust's field of vision.

"roar~"

With a long, chilling roar, the main cannon of the [Drakenman] fired once more!

Chapter 339: Tilting

The concentrated magic beam, carrying a world-destroying force, enveloped a large area where Mavis was located.

Due to the limitations of the [Sky-Piercing Slash] ability, Mavis had no time to dodge at this point.

Faust had even imagined Mebis being blasted to smithereens by the magic beam.

On his old face, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but stretch to his ears in a wide grin.

But Faust overlooked one thing: Mavis's body was clearly more robust than Alice's.

Indeed, that was the case. After completing the teleport, Mavis felt a burning pain in her arms and chest.

A wave of dizziness washed over me, and the world before my eyes seemed to be spinning.

The transmission process is like holding onto a speeding train with one hand.

Then the train pulled it into a narrow pipe.

The tension on the arms and the compression of the body by the "pipes" put a tremendous strain on the body.

Even though Mavis had enhanced her physical body with magical power, she was starting to feel the strain.

Fortunately, the "segmentation mindset" has been maintaining the operation of the "reversal technique".

Physical injuries can be repaired with just a deep breath.

Faust's main guns fired with unwavering determination, a cold glint flashed in Mebis's eyes.

With only the Ten Commandments Spear, Mavis lacks the ability to penetrate the defenses of the Dragoons.

But now that he had the [Sky-Piercing Slash] in hand, Mavis suddenly didn't want to run anymore.

Before the light cannon hit her, Mavis activated the teleportation ability of [Sky-Piercing Slash] again.

Because the main cannon of the [Dragon Rider] has too much light pollution.

When the Flash was activated, the faint silvery-white light was almost inconspicuous.

So, without Faust's noticing, Mavis appeared directly on the back of the [Dragon Rider].

Beneath his feet was cold, hard steel armor. Mavis stepped through the gaps in the armor and rushed rapidly toward the cockpit of the steel dragon.

Holding the Ten Commandments Spear and the Sky-Piercing Slash in both hands, the silvery-white light on the Sky-Piercing Slash grew brighter and brighter.

The intense magical fluctuations on his back instantly triggered the [Dragon Rider]'s detection system.

A piercing alarm echoed in the cockpit, and Faust realized there was a threat behind him.

But by then it was too late to react.

Mavis used two magical weapons simultaneously, and the Ten Commandments Gun entered the form of the Sonic Gun.

The increased attack speed is applied to the user, Mavis.

This means that Mebius can use this enhancement on his other hand.

The silvery-white [Sky-Piercing Slash] thrust forward in an instant, transforming into a shower of silvery-white light in front of Mavis.

It appeared as if Mavis was swinging her spear in the air, but in reality, the sharp blade of the [Sky-Piercing Slash] had already penetrated the armor of the [Dragon Rider] and was wreaking havoc inside it.

【Dragon Rider】The external armor has amazing defensive capabilities, but the internal pipes and cables are not as tough as the armor plates.

Moreover, the magic of [Sky-Piercing Slash] merely opens a spatial passage, and the attack is simply a physical attack.

The magic immunity of the [Dragon Rider] reduces the duration of the opened spatial passage.

But Mavis's attack speed makes up for this.

Mebius originally intended to attack the cockpit directly and chop Faust inside into mincemeat.

However, the Draper's cockpit is too well protected.

The anti-magic crystal is located outside the cockpit, so the spatial passage cannot be deployed in that vicinity.

Therefore, Mavis had no choice but to settle for second best and destroy the [Drakenger] itself first.

Seeing the error messages constantly appearing on the display screen, Faust was furious.

"Damn Erza!"

If Erza hadn't given him her weapons twice, he wouldn't have ended up in this situation.

Despite his anger, Faust did not lose his temper.

Although Mebius was causing chaos at this time.

But if the [Dragon Rider] were so easily destroyed, it would be unworthy of its reputation as a forbidden weapon.

The internal emergency system was quickly activated, and several magical barriers were deployed around the critical pipelines.

At the same time, the inner layer of the armor begins to automatically close the damaged area.

Faust slammed his hands on the control panel and growled:

"Now that you're here, you're not leaving!"

In an instant, the surging magic power within the [Dragon Rider] boiled over.

The [Dragon Riders] are overloaded with anti-magic crystals.

The magic immunity that was originally limited to the [Dragon Rider] armor instantly expanded, forming a domain.

The area wasn't large, but Mavis, standing on the back of the [Dragon Rider], was right within it.

Mavis felt her hand movements slow down instantly.

The enhancement magic of the [Ten Commandments Spear] was absorbed by the [Dragon Rider] before it could reach Mavis.

The same applies to the [Sky-Piercing Slash]; the magic that opens up space is interrupted before it can take shape.

"Go to hell!"

Faust's murderous voice emanated from the [Dragon Rider].

At the same time, the floating cannons, whose parameters had been readjusted, were also aimed at Mebis.

Fortunately, the magic power that sustained the [Wing Magic] had long since been replaced by curse power by Mavis.

In this world, spells and magic belong to different systems.

Magic-suppressing crystals, designed to counter magic, significantly reduce the effectiveness of spells.

Before the barrage of drones could hit, Mavis flapped its wings violently.

His figure shot into the sky in an instant, breaking free from the range of the [Dragon Rider].

But Mavis didn't fly far; instead, she started dogfighting around the [Drakenger].

She was measuring the range of the [Dragon Rider]'s magic-suppressing field.

Faust piloted the [Dragon Rider], closely following Mavis and relentlessly attacking, attempting to eliminate her.

Faust had clearly figured out Mavis's thinking and was controlling the floating cannons to keep up with her.

A notification appeared in the cockpit indicating that the main gun had finished cooling down, and dark purple magic began to gather in the dragon's kiss once more.

The overwhelming barrage of magic bullets continuously blocked Mavis's escape route, gradually forcing her towards the main cannon's aiming line.

But Mebius's rampage just now wasn't entirely ineffective.

Even though Faust's damage control system was already operational, the response speed of the [Dragon Riders] was still affected.

Mavis can easily seize the gaps between attacks to achieve her goals.

Soon, the image of the excrement and urination within the [Dragon Rider] domain took on a concrete form in Mavis's mind.

Close to the edge of the domain, Mavis once again swung [Sky-Piercing Slash].

This time, Mavis's target is those annoying floating cannons.

Due to their small size, the armor of these floating cannons is negligible compared to the defensive capabilities of the [Dragon Rider] itself.

Every time their flight paths intersected, one or two floating cannons would crash to the ground with a mournful cry.

Furthermore, Mavis also had her eye on the wings of the [Dragon Rider].

The wings of this steel dragon are small compared to its size, and are simply insufficient to support its flight.

Therefore, the flight ability of the [Dragon Rider] actually relies on magical abilities.

Those wings were magical artifacts that contained the magic of flight.

Once destroyed, the [Dragon Rider] will be reduced to a ground-based chicken.

Indeed, that was the case after Mebius cut several lines.

The flight ability of the [Dragon Rider] has indeed been affected.

The scales of victory began to slowly tip in Mebbes' favor.

Chapter 340: Plan B

“Gringrass, I have destroyed all the backup blueprints for [Soul Anima]!”

Faust's voice came through the Draper's loudspeaker.

With the [Sky-Piercing Slash], Mavis's mobility is simply too strong.

Faust had realized that it was no longer possible to forcibly eliminate Mebis.

Therefore, he did not hesitate to activate Plan B.

As a king who prided himself on his foresight, how could Faust possibly gamble everything?

So he prepared several plans to ensure that Mebbs would be eliminated.

At this time, the information about [Soul Anima] was used as a threat, which was one of them.

Faust didn't know why Greengrass was so obsessed with [Soul Anima].

But since Greengrass wanted it, the matter itself had value.

The Dragoon stopped its pursuit of Mavis and hovered high in the sky.

Within the claws of the metal dragon, a perfectly shaped rhomboid magic crystal emerged.

"This is the last record I have."

Mebius also hovered in mid-air, his brows slightly furrowed.

She didn't know whether Faust's words were true or false.

But given the madness Faust displayed, he was truly capable of doing such a thing.

Therefore, Mebbs dared not gamble.

If things really don't go away, Mebbs won't know how to explain it to the 'investors'.

In the process of creating every super magic, in addition to the talent and genius of the creator, there is also a lot of luck involved.

The [Soul Anima] hyperspace magic will be lost once all data is lost.

Even if Mebbs has some of the information, he may not be able to replicate it.

She did not immediately respond to Faust's declaration.

Instead, his gaze was fixed on the rhomboid-shaped magic crystal suspended in the dragon's claw.

It was a magical artifact specifically designed for storing data, much like the USB drive Mavis had in her previous life.
