"Nana, you two chat amongst yourselves." The boy simply went to the cabin to study the aerial map with Shen Xi.
"Little Darkness doesn't need to be a familiar anymore. From now on, we're partners." Nagasaki Asuna patted Darkness's little head.
"Partner?" The half-elf looked bewildered. "What does that mean?"
“Well, what does ‘partner’ mean?” Nagasaki Asuna tapped her chin with her index finger, pondering how to explain it to the half-elf.
Amidst the intensive preparations, the deck of the Miriam was cleaned up, and supplies, fuel, and weapons were moved into the cabins in an orderly fashion.
Before leaving, Cheng Fei and Shen Xi went to the Business Trip Corner Chamber of Commerce to say goodbye to Hai Sen.
"Speaking of which, do you want to meet that guy? After all, you two are destined to meet." Haisen, holding his red-haired familiar Flame, scratched his head and revealed a somewhat malicious smile.
In a secluded prison cell, the two met Edward and Jasmine, who were imprisoned.
Despite sitting in his cell, the blond youth remained upright, calmly closing his eyes to rest, and coldly snorted, "What's there to say now? You've won."
A slender, silver-haired half-elf sat beside him, her eyes lowered and silent.
"The Allied Forces aren't going to execute them, are they?" Cheng Fei looked at Haisen and couldn't help but ask.
“Execution is out of the question. It’s more meaningful to let him work and contribute than to kill him out of spite,” Haisen said, shrugging.
"Alright," Cheng Fei nodded tentatively.
As the two were about to leave, Hysen called them back, "Oh, right, I almost forgot, Robertstein asked me to give you his regards and wish you and His Highness a safe journey."
Cheng Fei and Shen Xi exchanged a glance.
Once everything was in order, the Miriam set sail.
The dock gates opened, and it was still daytime where they had crashed. Bright sunlight streamed in from outside the cave, and the dense sea of clouds and the azure sky drew a clear line at the horizon.
Inside the cockpit, Shen Xi slowly pushed the control lever, and the nozzle at the stern of the teardrop-shaped airship lit up faintly, spraying out streams of green particles that propelled the heavy hull forward slowly toward the clear airspace outside the lock gate.
"Teacher Shen, how long will the flight take this time?" Cheng Fei asked.
"About a month and a half," Shen Xi said expressionlessly.
"Alright then." The boy smacked his lips.
Leia and Eve watched this scene from the side, while Shadow also tiptoed to the window, his wine-red eyes reflecting the light of the sky in front of him.
Nagasaki Asuna, who was supporting the half-elf's face from behind, suddenly turned around as if she sensed something and blinked.
"Wait……!"
A faint sound came from deep within the dock.
"Wait a moment……!"
Someone shouted.
"Um, Shen Xi, it sounds like someone is calling us?" Nagasaki Asuna tilted her head.
Upon hearing this, Shen Xi released the control stick, the light from the nozzle at the stern of the airship went out, and it decelerated and glided through the air.
The group of people on board left the wheelhouse and went to the deck.
"Wait a moment!"
Why did you leave without saying goodbye?
"Really!"
A cute, doll-faced girl with bangs ran out of the passageway leading to the Light and Magic Technology Association, panting heavily, dragging two large suitcases.
At this point, the airship had already left the shore, leaving the two sides only able to look at each other from a distance.
Cheng Fei looked at her in surprise, "You have local specialties to give us? That's too kind of you."
"What local specialties? This is my luggage! Don't you have any sense of propriety?" Weinuo stomped her feet angrily on the shore.
"Eh, luggage? You want to..." Nagasaki Asuna asked, puzzled.
"I want to hitch a ride with you to the roots of the World Tree."
"Why?" Shen Xi frowned slightly, seemingly displeased.
"Grandpa is going to help the Allied Forces research Light Magic technology, so the Rift Valley Association can close down. That's why I want to go see the ancient ruins of the Roots," the Light Magic craftsman said earnestly.
736. A reporter sent a message.
The teardrop-shaped airship left the mainland, trailing a curtain of particle trajectories, and sailed into the boundless airspace above the sea of clouds.
"Hey, why are those ships following us?" Nagasaki Asuna turned around as if she had a thought, shading her eyes with her hand.
Two rows of small boats, seemingly chaotic yet orderly, were sailing forward alongside the Miriam, each carrying a colorful flag that stood out against the backdrop of white clouds and azure sky.
Vino placed her hands on her apron and glanced at it. "It's a custom in Riften. People hang colorful flags to send off important guests."
"Like this?" Nagasaki Asuna cupped the shadow's face in her hands and exchanged a glance with Leia beside her.
Cheng Fei stood with his hands behind his head, watching this scene. Suddenly remembering something, he turned his head and asked, "Teacher Shen, where's the tailless scorpion?"
The deck of the Miriam was empty; there was no sign of the black mechanical monster.
"It self-destructed." Shen Xi gripped the control stick, staring straight ahead, her face expressionless.
"What?!" The boy grabbed his hair, as if struck by lightning.
"What is Cheng Feiyu shouting about again?" The girl glanced at him, not without disgust.
"Why did you self-destruct?!" The boy looked utterly bewildered.
“The ammunition is exhausted, and the propulsion system has reached its limit after lasting so long. Leaving it here would just make it scrap metal. It would be better to ram into an enemy ship and self-destruct to maximize its value. What’s Cheng Feiyu getting so excited about?” Shen Xi glared at him.
"Does that mean I'll never have another chance to play?!"
"What's the problem?"
"Teacher Shen, how can you be so selfish!"
"Shut up, you childish Cheng Feiyu!"
"For a Protoss Queen to disregard the feelings of her subordinates like this is just too terrible!!"
"Don't talk like that vixen, it makes me want to vomit!"
As the airship entered a steady-speed journey, the sounds of the boys and girls arguing echoed in the air for a long time.
……
The next day.
During lunch break, Yinghua was as peaceful and serene as ever.
Cheng Fei, with his hands in his pockets, walked to the wisteria-covered corridor and saw a cool, aloof girl with long, dark hair standing in the middle of the path, seemingly observing the plants, her profile showing a focused expression.
The dappled sunlight filtered down, gently caressing her beautiful and delicate features. Her smooth, long hair and her excessively slender, snow-white legs beneath her skirt made her look like a work of art.
“Teacher Shen, did you deliberately pose here to attract my attention? I have to admit you succeeded.” Cheng Fei stepped forward.
"The aquatic mammals are just daydreaming again. They're just tired and don't want to go up, so they're resting here for a bit." Shen Xi turned and walked away expressionlessly.
The boy followed, “Don’t you want to go up and tutor your club members? I know that in your heart the Corridor Research Club is just an excuse for us to interact, but that won’t do, Club Leader.”
"It's very noisy and chattering."
"Sorry, but Happy Children's Day, little one."
"Ha, Children's Day had already passed while you were fooling around with that Lin guy on Sunday."
"You don't deny that you're a child?"
"Shut up, I don't want to argue with your boring nonsense."
The two walked into the quiet club activity building, their voices echoing in the stairwell.
Shen Xi clutched her lower abdomen and furrowed her brows as she climbed upwards.
"So even if the Celestial Queen is powerful, she can't change the fact that this body is weak?" Cheng Fei observed her somewhat pained expression and slowed his pace.
"You're not even helping, and all you're doing is making sarcastic remarks. You might as well die." The girl glared at him weakly.
"Of course I'd like to help if you don't mind." The boy raised his arm to gesture to her.
Shen Xi glanced at it, unmoved, "If someone sees this and it gets out, some people's two-faced nature will be exposed prematurely."
"There's no one around at noon, and for the sake of my little darling, I had no choice but to take care of any fools who didn't know their place." The boy waved his hand, feigning ruthlessness.
"Pretentious Cheng Feiyu." The girl sneered, casually leaning closer to him and putting her arm around his, transferring the weight to him.
The two, arm in arm, walked upstairs side by side, looking like any other couple deeply in love.
After climbing to the sixth-floor rooftop, Shen Xi casually let go of Cheng Fei, and the two walked into the only door one after the other.
Several department members were already holding their usual study session.
"Good afternoon, both of you~" Nagasaki Asuna looked up and smiled sweetly.
"Where's Master Ye?" Cheng Fei looked around.
Even though Miriam was there just a week before the college entrance exam, there was no sign of the girl with twin ponytails.
"She didn't come to school today. It seems she went to Lin's place?" Nagasaki Asuna blinked.
"She really is something else." Cheng Fei sat down and shook his head helplessly.
Ye Shuang was worried about Lin Xuanqi's safety, but there was nothing he could do about it.
"Cheng Fei, Cheng Fei, why didn't you say earlier that you were the one who rescued the hostages at the Twin Towers? You're really amazing!" Zhou Han clasped her hands together and looked at him, her round eyes wide open.
Ruan Jingyi also silently watched the boy, her expression still blank, but her gaze was firmly fixed on him.
Cheng Fei was taken aback and looked to the side. "Nana, did you tell them?"
"We just happened to be talking about it, so it's okay, right?" Nagasaki Asuna tilted her head.
“Junior! If you go public with this, everyone will see you as a hero!” Miriam said with a dreamy expression, as if she were the one who thwarted the conspiracy.
"Senior, making this public will cause a lot of trouble, so please remember to keep it a secret." The boy casually took out various documents and began to explore.
"Enough with the boring talk, let's start the tutoring." Shen Xi, with an indifferent expression, sat down next to Zhou Han, emanating an invisible chill that dispelled the casual atmosphere of the chat.
During the afternoon break, Cheng Fei received a WeChat message.
"Mr. Cheng, are you free now for an interview?"
It was sent by Tang Yu, followed by a string of addresses.
"Help me ask the homeroom teacher for leave. Make up any reason you want," Cheng Fei said in a low voice as he packed his things and got up, passing Zhou Han's seat.
"Okay, don't worry, leave it to me." The petite girl looked blank for a moment, then smiled broadly, revealing a smile full of "a young mother's tolerance for her child."
"Teacher Shen, the reporter has agreed to meet. If you're not feeling well, can Nana and I take over?"
The boy posted again in the high-level discussion group of the Corridor Research Department.
"Heh, whatever."
This is Shen Xi's reply.
"Okay~ Shall I come out now?"
This was posted by Asuna Nagasaki.
Following closely behind the boy, the sweet girl with long coffee-colored hair also asked for leave from the classroom and left quickly to the parking lot, watched by her classmates.
Cheng Fei waited for her to get into the passenger seat, then stepped on the gas, and the Panamera quickly left Yinghua and merged into the traffic.
The address Tang Yu gave was a coffee shop on the side of a commercial street.
A young woman with sunglasses hanging from her collar and long, wavy brown hair sat on an outdoor seat, with a notebook and coffee in front of her, looking like a real reporter working overtime.
Seeing Cheng Fei and Nagasaki Asuna approaching, she raised one hand and waved it.
737. The two testing each other.
