Mystery: The Witch of Desire
Page 38
After the auction concluded, the thugs arranged a private room on the second floor for the winner of the first show, and then sent the poor women there.
Reeves arrived at the room prepared for him, checked for any potential risks of being monitored, and after confirming several times, he waited quietly in the room for Lisa's arrival.
A moment later, two thugs carried Lisa over, her face ashen, streaked with tears, trembling like a lamb to the slaughter.
The thug threw her into Levi's arms, grinning wickedly:
"Rich sir, enjoy your wonderful night! This little bitch has such a big ass, she'll definitely squeeze you until you're in ecstasy!"
Revi gently supported Lisa's limp body, perfunctorily saw the two thugs off, and closed the door.
The moment the door slammed shut, Lisa seemed to realize what was about to happen. She sprang away from Reeves, fell to the ground, and screamed in heart-wrenching agony:
"No, please, kind sir, please, please don't..."
Levi gently helped her up, his heart aching, and said softly:
"Calm down, I won't hurt you."
He did not use the power of instigation, but as an instigator, his words had become sufficiently approachable and easy to believe.
Since this was his good intention, Lisa immediately stopped struggling, looked at him with teary eyes, her eyes full of grievance and helplessness.
Levi helped her sit up on the bed, poured her a glass of warm water, and handed it to her. After she gradually calmed down, Levi tentatively asked:
"Could you tell me how they brought you here? It's okay, you can omit the details you don't want to remember, just give the general idea."
Upon hearing this, Lisa's face showed a pained expression, but she still slowly spoke:
“That was a few days ago. I went to the Riverside Theatre with some college classmates to watch the new play by the famous actress Xia Lani.”
"Midway through the performance, I left to take a newly acquainted friend to the hospital. When I returned to the theater, I couldn't find my classmates."
She lowered her eyes slightly, her fingertips unconsciously clenching the hem of her clothes, and continued:
"I anxiously sought help from a theater staff member, who told me that my friend was waiting for me in the backstage dressing room."
"I believed him, but as soon as I entered the lounge, someone covered my mouth with a handkerchief, and then I lost consciousness."
Lisa's voice grew softer and softer, her body trembled slightly, and tears welled up in her eyes:
"When I woke up again, my classmates and I were all chained up. We...we felt terrible. We...we actually..."
Before she could finish speaking, she could no longer hold back and buried her head in Levi's arms, bursting into tears.
Levi already guessed what was going to happen next. In the hands of sex addicts, all human ethics cease to exist, and only the shameful act of satisfying desires remains.
He gently patted Lisa's back, comforting her:
"It's okay, just treat it as a dream and forget about it."
Revi wanted to say a few more words of comfort to Lisa, but just then, he heard rustling footsteps outside the door.
Chapter 73 Instigation
Levi immediately fell silent, listening intently to the sounds outside the door.
The rustling footsteps didn't go far; they disappeared outside the door.
This indicates that someone was standing outside the door, eavesdropping on what was happening inside.
Reeve quickly whispered to Lisa:
“Someone is listening to us. I need your cooperation to create the illusion that we’re doing that kind of thing. Do you understand what I mean?”
Lisa's eyes widened, and her cheeks flushed red. She barely understood what Levi was saying, but in her haste, she didn't know how to create that illusion.
Left with no other option, Levi took the initiative to activate his ability to instigate:
"Come on, listen to me. This is just a performance. You are the singer on the stage. Use your most beautiful voice to win the applause of the audience."
Under Levi's guidance, Lisa's eyes became hazy and dreamy. She slowly opened her melodious voice and produced a beautiful and intoxicating sound.
Levi then pressed down on the bed board at opportune moments to create other noises, finally managing to create a romantic atmosphere in the room.
A moment later, the rustling footsteps outside the door sounded again, slowly fading into the distance.
Reeves breathed a sigh of relief, having released his instigation abilities. He gently patted Lisa's shoulder, and Lisa awoke from her daze, her eyes regaining their clarity.
But at the same time, she remembered what she had just done, and her cheeks flushed red, burning all the way to her ears. She buried her head in her chest, not daring to look into Levi's eyes.
Levi chuckled:
"It's alright, your performance was excellent. Because of you, we are safe. This is a normal performance by a singer, there's no need to feel embarrassed."
Upon hearing this, the blush on Lisa's cheeks slowly faded, and she nodded gently, gradually returning to normal.
"The ability to instigate is really useful."
Revi sighed inwardly, then began to worry about how to deal with Lisa.
Just then, a knock sounded at the door, which, from a gangster's perspective, was fairly polite.
"who is it?"
Levi feigned exhaustion, drawing out his words as if he had just expended a great deal of energy.
The voice of Mark, the thug, rang out from outside the door:
"Sir, you should have finished your business by now, right? Our boss would like to invite you over for a chat."
Levi was startled and couldn't help but feel a little nervous:
"Did he discover that I am an extraordinary being? Or is there some other reason?"
He spoke, feigning composure:
"What does your boss want with me?"
He thinks you are a generous gentleman and is willing to build a good relationship with you.
Levi gave a curt "I understand," silently checked the weapons and his own attire, and then gently reassured Lisa, telling her not to be afraid and to wait for him to return.
After waiting for a few minutes, he pushed open the door and went out, pointing into the room and saying in a deep voice:
"I'll be back in a bit, don't touch her."
Mark laughed:
"No problem, she belongs to you all night."
Mark led the way, taking Levi up to the third floor and stopping in front of the room directly opposite the stairs.
Reeve knew this room all too well; it had once been Samira's office. He and Rowling had fought a bloody battle here, nearly losing their lives in their struggle against oppression.
Standing here again, but with a new oppressor in the room, he felt a mix of emotions, his feelings complex and hard to describe.
Mark stepped forward and gently knocked on the door, his tone respectful:
"Boss, the gentleman who bid five pounds has arrived."
"Please let him in."
Reeve pushed open the door and entered the room, his gaze meeting those narrow eyes directly. Pat was sitting behind his desk, a sinister smile on his face, his eyes fixed on him.
Mark behind him closed the door, leaving him and Pat in a confined space.
Reeve displayed the normal reaction of an ordinary person facing a gang leader: he showed a nervous and uneasy expression, and stammered:
"Mr. Pat, what brings you here?"
Pat smiled and pointed to the chair opposite the desk:
"sit down."
Reeve thanked him and slowly sat down, placing his hands on his lap, looking very reserved.
Pat looked him up and down carefully, and then smiled:
"Few people would spend five pounds to spend the night with a kingfisher, even wealthy gentlemen, and you don't look particularly rich, and you don't show any excessive desire for the woman."
He paused, then said meaningfully:
"I want to know, why did you take her picture?"
A wave of tension washed over Levi as his mind raced, searching for the best course of action.
He tried to speak:
"I am not exactly wealthy, but the desires within me have burned like a raging fire, driving me to pay a huge price to satisfy this pleasure."
Pat, however, revealed a skeptical smile:
"Oh, really? But I don't see any sign of desire in you."
Reeves said calmly:
"Sometimes, desire is not just about outward fervor, but also about inner devotion."
Upon hearing this, Pat showed an expression of great interest:
“Your point seems interesting, but I think desire should be characterized by fervor and outward expression. Only when everyone can feel your passion can you be considered devout.”
Levi suddenly realized that, under the influence of his instigation, Pat seemed to have been drawn into the topic of desire, while Pat himself seemed unaware of it.
Pat himself was only Sequence 9 and had not received any blessings from that evil god. In the realm of desire, he might know more than that god.
Levi was secretly pleased and tentatively continued to use his instigation ability to guide them:
“I believe you are a devout believer, but devotion has many forms of expression, and desire also has a deeper meaning.”
Upon hearing this, Pat fell into deep thought, the clarity in his eyes fading and becoming somewhat clouded.
Reeve continued tentatively:
“I believe that one person’s fervor alone is not enough. The best way to show devotion to a great being is to proclaim His teachings and praise His name to the world.”
As Levi spoke, he was pleasantly surprised to find that he had not been punished by the Notary Book.
He couldn't help but recall a novel he had read in his previous life called "The Red and the Black".
Low-level red is just high-level black.
"Bound by the notarized document, I cannot do anything detrimental to that evil god, but I can praise Him to my heart's content!"
“If praise reaches the point that even the extraordinary ones in official circles take notice, then His followers are doomed.”
Encouraged, Reeves continued:
"For example, the great being I believe in, who is the master of desire, the great mother, the great father, and the great master who came to earth to save us, my devotion to Him is kept in my heart, and I glorify praising His name."
Upon hearing this, Pat's eyes immediately blazed with fanaticism, and his entire body trembled uncontrollably.
"You, too, are a follower of the Great Master?"
Chapter 74 Praying to the Evil God
Levi smiled and nodded:
"Yes, we are justified by faith and we desire to proclaim His name. All who are devout will join me in proclaiming His name."
As he spoke, Levi tried his best to activate the Miser's abilities, while silently reciting sentences in the language of the Abyss in an attempt to reveal a trace of the aura of an evil god.
As the obscure abyssal language was slowly uttered, Pat's hair stood on end, and he showed a look of fear:
“I felt the presence of the great master, I felt His divine power.”
The fanaticism and chaos in his eyes intensified, and his reason was further lost.
With trembling hands, he pulled a female statue that he kept close to his body from a hidden compartment in his desk.
The female statue trembled slightly and emitted a dark glow as Levi chanted the language of the abyss.
"It has been answered! Our great master has responded!"
Pat roared, his entire being consumed by near-mad devotion. He had prayed to the female statue many times in the language of the Abyss, but had never received a response. At this moment, he seemed like a devout believer who had witnessed a miracle.
Rivi seized the opportunity and continued to guide the conversation through instigation:
"Yes, He senses our devotion, and if you can show further devotion, He will grant you supreme power."
Pat's eyes were bloodshot, filled with desire and fanaticism, and he pressed for an answer:
How can I demonstrate piety?
Levi gave a meaningful smile.
