"What are the characteristics of ruins?" Lin Chen was more concerned about this.
“It’s actually quite easy to guess,” Jürgen chuckled. “I believe you’ve already discovered that although each block within the ‘ideal state’ has its own rules, the reasons for their creation are all convergent.”
"The Deep Dive Division has already entered that gray city ahead of time. They helped me conduct several experiments and verify several ideas."
"Now, I have reached a conclusion."
Jürgen cleared his throat, snapped his fingers, and a detailed instruction document was printed on the holographic projection.
"Ruins Name: Utopia, Characteristics: Transforms the things that human emotions desire most into rules and entities, thereby building a 'ideal kingdom' for them."
"The homeless yearn for family feasts, the artists yearn for recognition, the fishermen yearn for a good catch... Their desires are twisted into ruins and rules, becoming the foundation's means of dragging reality into the subspace."
"And the center of this ideal state before us is the original ruins, which, according to my speculation..."
"That is the ideal world of 'Bai Duo Zhi'."

Chapter 107 Using Someone Else as a Gun (Fourth Update)
Five years ago, Byodozhin resolved a mentally abnormal entity and successfully obtained the title of Gamma-level demigod.
“After that, he was sidelined and did not appear in the public eye for a long time.”
Professor Jürgen pointed to the gray-white city outside the window and said softly:
"Now we understand what he did during those five years he disappeared."
“He’s in charge of building the ideal world,” Jiang Zhengge’s lips twitched. “Looks like this bastard is really enjoying it.”
“Wait a minute, I have a question,” Lin Chen thought of something, “If the ideal country was built in the last five years, then the timeline doesn’t match up.”
"For example, the 'scorched earth' strategy was based on a local conflict during the Raintown period, which dates back a long time."
“That was also my initial confusion,” Jürgen nodded, “so I had the Deep Dive Division collect some samples for me at the center of the ideal state and compare them with those blocks inside the sphere.”
"The conclusion is that the birth of the center of the ideal state was later than the internal blocks."
"This illustrates two things: First, the Republic was formed later, and it absorbed the ancient ruins that were scattered in the warp and integrated them into a powerful ruin entity."
"Second, the erosion parameters of any ruins swallowed by the Utopia are consistent with those we obtained in the Archive Bunker operation. This means that the Foundation has been conducting the experiment of 'pulling reality into ruins' since the Raintown era, and 'scorched earth operations' is one piece of evidence."
After listening to Professor Jürgen's words, Lucy coldly said:
"In summary, the history of the Foundation's secret weapon WHALE may date back to before the establishment of Rain City, or even to the time when demigods arrived in this world."
“A super weapon that’s the same age as Yudu,” Li Zhanyi nodded. “Truly terrifying.”
“The Foundation won’t let us expose it so easily,” Jiang Zhengge said in a low voice. “If I’m not mistaken, they’re about to start making their move.”
Jiang Zhengge's jinx is well-documented; no sooner had he finished speaking than Hua Molan's voice came from the control panel:
"This is the command center. Calling Orca. The Foundation's propaganda war has begun."
"Transfer the call in." Jiang Zhengge waved his hand.
A few seconds later, news footage appeared on the screen:
"The Foundation is carrying out 'Operation Ideal State' to hunt down the traitorous demigod 'Captain England'!"
"After colluding with the Mentis cult, Captain England went mad. He returned to his hometown and slaughtered his village!"
"Afterwards, Captain England fled into the high-risk warp ruins of 'Utopia', attempting to drag the entire Rain into the warp!"
"In response, the Foundation has dispatched the gamma-level demigod 'Badozhi,' who is leading an elite army to hunt down Captain England and stop this grand conspiracy that will lead to the fall of Rain City!"
On the screen behind the host, a scene from inside the Ideal Country was playing: agents from the Investigation Bureau's Armed Division were storming into one ruin after another, dealing with those anomalous entities.
Lin Chen even saw himself and Li Zhanyi conducting CQB (Close Quarters Battle) in the ruins of the "Armed Maze".
Their faces and the badges on their clothing were blurred out, clearly indicating that the foundation did not intend to let outsiders know their true identities.
“Merde!” Lucy cursed. “So, after all this time, we’ve been working for the Foundation?”
“These sons of bitches,” Jiang Zhengge laughed, “are they treating us like free actors?”
Lin Chen stared at the screen, completely bewildered.
He never imagined that a war of words could be waged so shamelessly!
"Hua Molan, has the foundation contacted you?" Jiang Zhengge asked.
“Of course we contacted her, it was Ms. J herself who contacted us,” Hua Molan said. “Her idea was that we should take our profits and then the foundation would give us an investment afterward.”
"To hell with knowing when to quit while you're ahead, plenty of brothers have died here," Jiang Zhengge lit a cigarette. "Tell Ms. J to go lie down next to Johnston's grave and dream."
“In fact, I told her to go to Johnston’s crib and dream,” Hua Molan chuckled. “Our media department is organizing a counterattack. Part of the video of Lin Chen dealing with Captain England that night will be released soon, and Captain England’s autopsy report will also be released soon.”
"Who asked them to use a dead body to wipe their ass? Now they're doomed." Jiang Zhengge laughed.
"Looks like there's a new trending topic!" Li Zhanyi picked up her phone without anyone noticing. "Ugh... the internet's so slow..."
"You can still access the internet in subspace?" Lin Chen couldn't hold back any longer.
"It used the Investigation Bureau's base station, so the call cost was a bit higher," Li Zhanyi waved his hand, "and it came out...it's a debunking post!"
Lin Chen leaned closer, and a line of large characters immediately caught his eye:
The agents involved in the Foundation's "Operation Ideal State" are suspected to be members of the Investigation Bureau's First Division, and the operation is very likely a fabrication.
The accompanying photos are: one showing Lin Chen's back, and the other a clip of Lin Chen from a video released by the foundation.
The location where that photo of the back view was taken...
Isn't that in front of Shen Xuanyi's house?
"Shen Xuanyi entered immediately," Lin Chen said, rubbing the back of his neck. "She practically bites at the sight of the foundation..."
“It’s time for us to step in,” Jiang Zhengge said with a smirk. “Let them see how clumsy the foundation’s lies are.”
Everyone turned their attention back to the giant screen on the bridge in front of them: the city below had become lively at some point.
Two white waves are battling it out in the streets and alleys, both sides possessing formidable power.
Professor Jürgen used gestures to zoom in on the image, focusing on the front lines of the war: two waves of soldiers in white robes and white marble statues.
"The Mentis sect was tricked into coming to the Ideal State, and then they were besieged by the Hundred Wisdoms," Jürgen shook his head. "Poor waste."
“The people and things on the black market are all consumables,” Li Zhanyi muttered.
"Bruce, we've reached the combat zone," Jiang Zhengge said, pressing his earpiece. "How's it going down there?"
"The location of the central temple has been confirmed," Bruce's voice came through, "but the preceding districts are heavily fortified. Can we launch a devastating attack?"
"Wait for us to come down, don't rush."
Jiang Zhengge gave Professor Jürgen a few instructions, then waved to Lin Chen:
"Come on, guys, it's time for our class to make its appearance."
"receive."
Lin Chen and Li Zhanyi exchanged a glance, then followed Jiang Zhengge to the landing bay.
Five minutes later, the landing capsule was launched and landed at the designated location.
During the descent, Lin Chen heard a crisp launch sound overhead.
He looked up, and the scene that came into view made his eyes widen involuntarily:
The "Orca" emitted trails of blue light around it, like an aerial gunship releasing heat decoys, as the wings of the "Death Angel" gradually spread out.
Lin Chen could guess what those blue lights were—
That's a dimensional stability anchor!
Hundreds or even thousands of dimensional stable anchors!
......
Chapter 108 The Temple (Fifth Update)
The dimensional anchors spread through the air like death wings, falling towards all parts of the Ideal City.
This was the first time Lin Chen had ever seen such a large scene.
“There’s no strong subspace convection here, so we can drop dimensional anchors anywhere,” Jiang Zhengge shouted amidst the noise of falling. “That’s efficiency!”
Dimensional anchors are placed in every corner of the city, and beams of blue light rise from the city's outline.
As the blue light oscillated, the unusual physical movements in the city streets and alleys began to slow down.
Attracted by the anchor, they rushed towards its landing point, and a few dozen seconds later, the Orca once again began scattering droplets—
"boom------"
As Lin Chen stepped out of the landing pod, he witnessed the attack.
Using the dimensional stability anchor as a coordinate, a prism-shaped device popped up directly below the Orca, with hundreds of eerie blue rays sweeping across the city.
And the coordinates it scans are precisely the landing points of the dimensional stability anchor!
“Abnormal entity removal progress...37%,” Professor Jürgen’s voice came through, “The effect is remarkable.”
"Gather the monsters first, then unleash an AoE attack," Li Zhanyi clapped his hands, "That felt good!"
Lin Chen looked around: This seemed to be a large open space with marble bricks on the ground, and a temple stood in the distance.
Countless marble statues holding weapons stand atop the steps leading to the temple.
"Those stone men don't seem too keen on letting us pass."
Lin Chen turned his head and saw Bruce, dressed in full armor, slowly walking towards him, followed by four or five other operators also wearing deep-sea armor.
"What do you mean? Have reinforcements arrived yet? When will we blow them all up with one shot?" Bruce asked Jiang Zhengge.
“The inverse solid plasma cannon requires dimensionally stable anchor guidance,” Jiang Zhengge rolled his eyes. “You haven’t lowered a single anchor in all this time, and you still have the nerve to ask me?”
“We were too cautious in our exploration earlier, and we’ve used up all the supplies,” Bruce said with a bright smile. “Old Jiang, hurry up! To be honest, I have a rash on my butt. We really need to finish this job quickly and go back to get some medicine.”
"Get lost, you're disgusting," Jiang Zhengge's lips twitched. "Come on, you throw it."
He took a dimensional anchor from his waist and handed it to Bruce.
Bruce caught the anchor, flicked his wrist, and then tossed it towards the distant temple in a javelin-like motion—
"boom----"
The moment the anchor flew out, a strong wind arose, and Lin Chen could even hear the sonic boom.
That diving suit of yours is powerful!
"clang!"
The anchor was firmly planted directly in front of the steps, right in front of the actual statues.
The moment the anchor was deployed, those entities swarmed down the steps and rushed toward the stabilizing anchor!
“Anchor point number 1371,” Jiang Zhengge pressed his earpiece, “Requesting plasma beam strike.”
"receive."
A few seconds later, Lin Chen saw a beam of dark blue light descend from the sky—
"boom------"
The beam of light swept upwards from the stable anchor, across the high steps, and completely obliterated the statues, leaving not a trace.
"Alright, guys!" Bruce drew a cleaver from behind his armor. "Let's storm the hall and kill that bastard demigod!"
After saying that, he took the lead and rushed out.
“Crazy,” Jiang Zhengge muttered, looking at the group in Section One, “Let’s follow him.”
Lin Chen nodded, and the group climbed over the obstacles, chasing the plasma beam as they rushed toward the temple.
......
An ideal temple.
On the throne, the shadow twisted and turned, looking restless.
As the battle outside continued to escalate, he finally couldn't resist making a phone call:
"Hello! This is Byakuya, I request an immediate evacuation!"
“We cannot directly disobey the orders of the F Council,” Ms. J’s voice came through. “Euclid told you to stay at your post, and you must stay.”
